Hertz Omdömen 

Be aware of Hertz Poland. I had a very bad experience. I rented a car on Sunday 4 in Modlin airport at 10:00. On Saturday I tried to phone on several numbers and several times but no one picked up the phone. At last I sent an email to the reservation department to inform them that I would pick up the car between 12:00 and 13:00 in stead of 10:00. When I arrived on Sunday at Modlin airport, there was no one. I phoned the number mentioned at the desk but nobody picked up the phone. At last I phone the accident department of Hertz to get in contact with someone. After several phone calls, they told me that I should take a taxi to Chopin airport to pick up the car there. In Chopin airport the guy was very friendly en apologized. I had some appointments that day that I had to cancel. Afterwards I wrote an email to the complaint department to ask to pay me at least the cost of the taxi between Modlin and Chopin airport. The CRD department answered a standard email that they don't want to compensate because there service center doesn't work in the weekends so they could'nt see my email on Saturday. But I tried to phone to several numbers on Saturday and Sunday but nobody picked up. I wanted to inform them that I should pick up later, but I could'nt inform them. So a very bad service: as a rental company they have to be available by phone on weekends. I will continue to ask them for at least the compensation of my taxi costs.

The company scams its customers by charging for car rental and taxes even when payment has already been made through Hertz’s website. They then impose outrageous fees for refueling the car.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS, look at Google reviews and Trust Pilot and you will see many unhappy customers that have been scammed.

When we picked the car up the agent tried to sell us insurance which we REFUSED showing him the certificate we had confirmation we had already insurance (we paid for full insurance when booking via bookings.com).

He said that's fine, that any claim would be charged to our credit card, and we would have to claim it back via bookings.com and the car would be checked we we returned it.  

We returned the car, it was checked, we received a condition report saying there was no additional damage.  Insurance wasn't mentioned again.

They have then charged me £210 for insurance when I landed in the UK.

Having checked others reviews across multiple platforms it’s clear that this company frequently scam customers with various insurance claims/charges. They must be KPId of receive bonuses.

Tried calling and emailing Hertz, but they are not interested or helpful. I claimed the fraud/theft back via my credit card and bookings.com.

DONT DO IT! Avoid at all costs. Charge a fortune then try to charge for fake damages. Absolute scammers!

They made false claim about damages to the car that I did not do. I was given another car than what I booked and checked in to online. The car was not ready and after 40 minutes wait I got a car still covered in ice and snow. They took 700 euros of my card for injuries I did not do. They do not respond on emails from me, the international Hertz team or my bank about the false claim. Block your card and do not rent from them.

Kiedy moja żona chciała odebrać samochód, nie chcieli jej go przekazać, ponieważ rezerwacja jest dokonywana na moje nazwisko. Na ich stronie rezerwacji nie ma opcji dodania dodatkowego nazwiska.
Pracownik w kasie mówi, że musimy anulować naszą rezerwację i zawiera dla nas nową umowę najmu. Płacimy jeszcze raz. Pracownik nie był pomocny w anulowaniu rezerwacji.
Wielokrotnie próbujemy anulować pierwszą rezerwację, ale ich strona internetowa tego nie akceptuje. Kilkakrotnie próbujemy też skontaktować się z nimi telefonicznie, ale nie da się dodzwonić.
W sumie zapłaciliśmy już za 2 samochody do wynajęcia w Hertz Polska, ale użyliśmy tylko 1 i nie można się z nimi skontaktować.
Odtąd jest to „nigdy więcej Hertz”, ale chcemy tylko ostrzec innych przed tym oszustwem.
Należy powiedzieć, że o ile mi wiadomo, Hertz jest prowadzony przez Francisetagere, więc możliwe, że w innych krajach działa to inaczej, ale ponieważ ich strona internetowa jest międzynarodowa, powinna istnieć możliwość zmiany lub anulowania rezerwacji.
Podsumowując: Trzymaj się z dala od tego oszustwa!

Had an issue with Flex to go hire company, long story, needed a car! Went around the competitors and ended up with Herz. The staff in Wrocław airport was absolute top, helped out quickly and efficiently with nothing to much trouble, saved my weekend. Thank you

Picked my car up at Krakow airport. Experience was seamless from start to finish. One of best car rental experiences I have had in Europe. My car was clean, efficient and good Value

I've had only good experience with Hertz(Goleniow airport). Booked a car with them twice and each time the service was spot on. No extra charges for fake scratches etc. Going to Poland in a few months and going to use Hertz again despite some of other companies have lower prices.

False claim of damage charged my credit card £900 nothing that can be done about it aside from reporting it to some European Association of Car Hire Companies.
