Found my apartment in Shanghai in under a week
I used Here to find an apartment in Shanghai and it went way better than expected. The agent replied fast, gave me several options that actually fit my budget and needs, and I could visit pretty quickly. They also helped with the paperwork which was a relief. Found my place within a week. Really solid and quality service, would recommend to anyone moving to China.

Would not recommend
We had a lot of issues with our flat (shower leaking, water damage, no WiFi,… and things were not well fixed, we had to clean ourselves after the workers, etc.
We had to buy everything once we arrived even though we were supposed to have dishes, a broom or a drying rack.
Furthermore, our flat was in front of a construction site, starting at 7am until 10pm.
Overall very pricey for the service

I appreciated a lot quick responsiveness, accuracy and professional approach. My son went to Shanghai for 5 months study, I have accompanied him on our way there.
We received a video call in advance with advice on applications, life in Shanghai and all practicalities. The agency sent a car for us to the airport and then the representative met us at the apartment and guided through all aspects.
During all 5 months we were informed on everything needed.
I had feeling my son was secure there and it was very important to me.
Special thanks to Eva, Elina and Sophie, who were our guard angels! We will be back :)

Amazing experience, I went to Shanghai for 4 months as an exchange student, and it was really hard to find an apartment without an agency! I really enjoyed my experience with Here Agency. They are very nice and helpful if you have any trouble during the stay! I recommend this agency to easily find an apartment in Shanghai!

Everything was great, the apartment was in good condition, everything looked like in the pictures and the landlord was accommodating but we did had a couple issues you should keep in mind.Getting the deposit back was hard, we did not get any option to receive a transfer for a non-Chinese/Alipay/WeChat account, and there were no pictures from the building which was not what we expected (entrance, elevator, exterior, etc.) so I recommend inquiring before committing to an apartment.

Regarding the deposit, we understand the frustration. Navigating international transfers from China can be complex due to local banking regulations, but we are actively looking into more flexible solutions for our international residents. We also appreciate the note about the building’s exterior and common areas; we are currently updating our listings to include more comprehensive photos of the entrances and elevators to provide a full picture before move-in.
Don’t expect anything from them before you sent the money
They will do everything to sell.
Don’t trust the pictures, they were taken 10 years ago.
Special shoutout to the CEO “mat” who, when I asked for help regarding my WeChat account, told me that he would answer my question only after I paid for the place 🤣 And to top it all, once I did pay, I asked again multiple time and he never answered once. what a way to make business and to show his team how to act …!!!
Otherwise Sophia was very professional but still, it’s a pricy option compared to others.

Not good services. Huge ethical problem as they work in the same company of the landlords. At the moment you will have a problem with the landlord they won’t help you as they are scarfed to loose their contact.
