As a veteran manager in the hospitality and vacation rental industry for many years, I have long struggled with the "manual labor trap"—specifically the nightmare of syncing rates and availability across multiple platforms and performing bulk price adjustments.

Hostex has been a total lifesaver, liberating me from these tedious manual tasks. In fact, throughout my career at several different hotel and guesthouse management companies, Hostex has always been the first tool I implement and configure to get operations under control. It is my go-to PMS for managing listings at scale.

If I were to offer one piece of constructive feedback, it would be regarding the UI: some buttons and menus only appear based on specific contexts. It would be much more convenient and intuitive if these options were more visible or accessible from the start.

Overall, it’s an indispensable tool for any professional looking to scale their business.

Five stars all the way! Hostex is super easy to use, which saved us so much time setting up my listings. The support group is absolutely amazing—they are quick, "give-it-their-all," and always solve my problems on the spot.
I also love the convenience of the AI translation. If the accuracy gets a little boost in the next version, it will be unbeatable. Highly recommend Hostex to anyone in the short-term rental business!

So far, after about a month, we have really enjoyed the consolidation of all the tools and sites that we are using for our STR. We love the integration of the booking sites, PriceLabs, Turno, smart locks, and most of all, the ability to create our own direct booking site. There's a little bit of a learning curve, but that is to be expected. I like that we can see how more and more features will make sense for us as our STR business grows.

Hostex includes a substantial amount of features at a low price compared to competitors, how ever they are lacking in a few key features that seem fairly basic. For instance, their system provides no way to add a nightly fee over base rate (aside from an additional person fee), or to increase the base rate provided by pricelabs by a fixed amount (the only option is to increase the base rate by a %, other platforms I have tried include both options and can be used in tandem to increase by % and $. ) I have found a workaround for this when using Price Labs, but it involves duplicating the listing in Hostex so you can apply the fee as a separate child listing in Price Labs. This however has the extremely unfortunate side effect of causing you to be billed twice for the same property in Hostex, something that you absolutely should not need to do for something as simple as adding a nightly fee.

This review was going to be 5 stars as the rest of the platform is great, but the lack of this basic feature is preventing me from providing that rating until a solution can be found. It is especially important, as some of the integrations provided by Hostex operate differently than on other platforms and incur a nightly fee from the host to use. Without being able to pass the fee on, these integrations are more expensive than they would be if you used a different PMS.

Beyond that, I appreciate that adding smart locks does not come with an extra charge. It is also nice the the damage waiver system is built into to the platform and does not require you leave hostex to file a claim. Creating a website is an easy process, however I would appreciate if they would implement a method of receiving messages from potential guests prior to booking when you are self hosting your site, as there currently exists no way to achieve this. Other platforms have a dedicated email for their inbox to achieve this functionality. Further, there is also currently no way to have a guest review a rental agreement while making a direct booking, so be aware that you will need to find a work around. To solve this on my end, I blocked users from being able to interact with the widget until they checked a box stating they had reviewed the agreement on my self hosted site.

Crazy low price compared to other Multiplatform management softwares. Cannot fault it

What really stands out is their responsiveness—whether through chat or other channels, assistance is prompt and reliable, even during late hours. This level of service is a major differentiator and adds a lot of confidence when managing operations.

The user experience is another strong point. The platform is intuitive, well-designed, and easy to navigate. Tasks like managing finances, adjusting pricing, and scheduling cleanings are straightforward and efficient, saving valuable time for hosts and property managers.

Pricing is also a big win for Hostex. It’s highly competitive—often just a fraction of the cost of other platforms—while still offering equal or greater functionality. The transparent pricing model, with no hidden fees, makes it especially appealing for smaller businesses looking for great value without compromising on features.

Overall, Hostex delivers an outstanding balance of affordability, usability, and top-tier customer support.

I debated switching to a channel manager and finally went when airbnb's pricing structure changed. So far so good Seeing it really being useful and enjoying the way I can watch finances, change prices and particularly the cleaning scheduling. Looking forward to seeing more of it and how it works going forward. They are very clear about switching and how everything will change but you need to be on your toes as I ended up with a double booking having not had a moment to put everything back to 'request to book'.

Extremely affordable and great and fast customer service.

It works quite well overall. However, sometimes messages (such as images or text) don’t appear on the platform. There’s still room for improvement—keep it up!

I tested a bunch of PMS for my Airbnb/VRBO rental. Hostex was easy to use, intuitive in most cases, and offers most if not all the features I want, for an unbeatable price. The few times I needed help, support was prompt and knowledgeable.
