This company is advertising products using false and misleading claims. Take their 'Heater Pro X':

'If you hate the cold but don't want to increase your heating bill, this is the best solution'

'This heater warms up any space in less than a minute'

'..uses less energy to generate more heat than a traditional heater'

All of the above claims are categorically false. The Heater Pro X is a standard ceramic heater and far, far less efficient and more expensive to run than other options available on the market.

If you have been affected by this scam, or any others made by this company, please complain to the following:

1) Youtube / Google:
If you had found this company's products via any advertisement on Youtube or Google, Google has a dedicated website to report fraudulent advertisers. Please search for it, as links are not allowed on here. It is a simple web form which you can fill in, and will prevent Econ7 from advertising on any of Google's sites.

2) Please search for 'Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department' on any search engine (again, links are not allowed here) and submit a complaint about this company's practices. With enough attention, this will lead to hefty fines and possible criminal charges against the people who run this scam.

3) Contact your local trading authority. You can easily find this online. The trading authority can prevent any of this company's goods being sold in the UK.

It's worth noting the way these scams work. Companies like Ecom7 will purchase and ship thousands of units of these types of products to ship to the UK, to alllow for quick delivery to customers. (Although if you ever want to return the product, they ask you to ship it back to Hong Kong - all part of the scam)

Once they have sold through 10 or 20 thousand units, the negative reviews have piled up, and sales dry up, they bag the huge profit and move on to the next product.

If we stop these scam companies in their tracks early by contacting the above authorities, they are left stranded with thousands of units and take a heavy loss at a minimum. If you go the extra mile and contact the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department, they will be fined or might even catch criminal charges.

Hi I bought this proheater x on the 16th September it took a while for it to arrive but that was stated when ordering.10 days ago.it broke while placing it in the wall socket one of the pins broke of in the socket and both are now unusable.Emailed ecom7 and despite getting a quick reply saying someone will be in touch within 24 hours 10 days later and a further email asking for updates nothing has been sent to me.it may have been half price but I don't think this anyway to treat customers .

Still no responce so have to agree with previous reviewers it's a scam does not do what it is supposed to breaks easy and the company is just not interested in fair play so if I could give it a zero would do

I have bought this and on my first proper use it went off with a bang can’t find where I bought it so have lost £49.99 fuming

It would take forever to heat anything. Not worth the money. Please do not bother wasting your money. I rang them and it took ages to get through and sent them an email. Looks like I’ve just lost £70.

Opened the box, tried to read through instructions, image showing ProX unit too dark. Plugged the unit into wall socket, switched the power on to see if the unit lit up, when nothing happened I unplugged the unit and was horrified to see the ‘earth terminal’ still attached to the socket! I had to carefully remove the earth terminal with a pair of pliers! When I carefully examined the end tip of the earth terminal it broke off!
After two weeks I am still waiting for a reply from the company.

Just bought one of these Pro x Heaters... it is only good for warming your hands if directly in front of the thing... from what I gather it is basically a hair straighteners with a fan.. I have tried to see if there is any SCAM info online regarding these and what I came across is a few videos headed with "SCAM DO NOT BUY" but when I go into the videos they seem to have been dubbed over by the same computer generated voice and all spouting the same speech on how its best to buy from the real website and the link for that is in the comments.. somehow they have managed to mess with other peoples you-tube videos when reviewing this product and fed it the same script dubbed over ...

MADE IN CHINA - SENT FROM CHINA Unit fails to heat up a room, and the fan is very noisy, the claims of nearly nothing in electricity consumption are false, it may be cheapish to run but at 20p an hour and no heat that soon racks up, good for a handwarmer and that's it. ALL THE SALES HYPE CLAIMS ARE FALSE. It's also marketed under other names too although the picture is the same. Trading standards need to recall and ban it, poor quality and likely a fire risk DONT BUY

Was offered 10%,20%-75%refund & could keep the items (yes I fell for the more u buy discount) Why would I want to keep stuff that doesn't work?? Like Michael, my bank ended up investigating.
Ps posted from England,but I'm to return them to China, or head office in the Canaries (at my expense) only then they would refund %....

Das Heizgerät Heater ProX gab am 3.Tag seine Funktion auf: die Einschalttaste ließ sich nicht mehr betätigen. Die umfangreichen Versuche , ein Ersatzgerät zu bekommen oder die Rücküberweisung des Geldes schlugen allesamt fehl. Eine Rückholaktion des Geldes durch die Bank konnte auch nicht durchgeführt werden.

Abysmal product and abysmal service. Mine doesn't work and I cannot get a response from anyone there. DO NOT BUY.

Habe den HEATER pro x, für 59 € gekauft. Der ganze Raum fängt nach kurzer Zeit an nach Plastik zu "stinken". Wollte nun den HEATER zurücksenden und habe mich aufgemacht - ."einen genialen Studenten und einen Flugzeug-Ingenieur", zu finden und zu kontaktieren. Fehlanzeige. Alles heiße Luft.....bekomme auf englisch ein Schreiben dass die Rücksendung innerhalb von 24 Std. vorbereitet wird.....darauf warte ich noch heute.
Die Telefonnummer die angegeben wird. - da ist niemand zu erreichen - Also wo sind denn die Studenten und Flugzeug - Ingenieure....???? Alles Schwindel!

FINGER WEG VON DIESEN BETRÜGERN

After watching a number of electronic and heater people who understand these things far more than I, I dare not even plug this thing in. Its nor at all as advertised, very poor safety standards, and the one I have seen running smelled like burning metal.
I have a brand new one here in box, I've got my money back through the bank, these are available on AE of £6 not £55 or £110 as some info sites say. "This is not news, this is advertisement purposes only, to not buy this product."

I would suggest that people leave this item well alone, not only does it not heat a room, its dangerous after about 50 min run time the unit started to melt its own casing including the led display/ control piece, the only heat u would get from this is the fire it would cause - more poor quality Chinese rubbish

The centre control panel has become loose, when you press any of the control buttons, the panel immediately gives way and sinks into the unit. Anybody have any idea how I get into customer services or someone who deals with money back guarantee, that is my next step.

There is an old saying that has stood the test of time and still applies today.
'If it sounds too good to be true then it wont be true', particularly if the claims are patently wild ones as they are for this heater. Physics cannot be altered any more than man can can turn into a pumpkin. The market is full of these little 'Gems' but the makers of this little baby have really hit the jackpot for gross exaggeration. You buy at your peril.

Do not buy this heater I to was sucked in bye this company mine started to melt after 10 minutes serious fire hazerd very dangerous it's a scam also they keep changing the name of the heater only buy heaters from proper branded stores

Bought 2 of these and they are a total waste of time. Quite simply i was able to warm up my conservatory quicker with a hairdryer!! The purchase price for these would but an allot of electricity to power a genuine heater. More worryingly, there is no safety sticker on this product so has not undergone any EU or GB safety testing and therefore can only be counted as a fire risk. Clue to authenticity is also in the mispelling/poor english in the instructions. As for mine, arrived , tested and skipped- all in one day!

Absolute junk! Avoid. Wont heat the smallest room in our house.
