Blatantly writing "The great taste of our Fish & Chips keeps our customers coming back for more" on their website homepage is both satire and insulting for their customers. Must I say more?

I have been to this chain restaurant twice (Eastbourne and Bournemouth). The food is extremely overpriced for the portion sizes, alongside charging 30p a sachet for sauces. The chips were just meh, and the fish was the most disappointing: It was just pure batter and barely had any meat inside. For a restaurant that self-proclaims to be "World Famous Fish & Chips" I expected better...

After my first disappointing experience at Harry Ramsden (Eastbourne) I decided to go again few years later (this time the Bournemouth one), but I see nothing has changed... Restaurant is still misleading and greedy as it was first day. Avoid going here at all costs.

Brighton BN21TA, according to my receipt. We paid at 12.57 on 5/10/21 for 2x fish & chips 2x dessert 1x coffee 1x tea.
We left at 14.36 & “never” I repeat “never” got our dessert. The service was abysmally slow & the food was atrocious, chips were of a very poor quality with the fish not much better.
1hour 39 minutes just for fish & chips “unbelievable”
I would use the seafront chippies next time in Brighton & probably save money & a lot of time

Went to Blackpool today decided to take my elderly mother for fish and chips, what can I say it was awful over priced garbage. Food arrived it was cold my mother had chips mushy peas I had a 60 and over meal of fish and chips peas and bread and butter pudding, my brother had the regular fish chips mushy peas. All of the chips were cold. Waitress seemed indifferent and just brought my mum chips forgot mushy peas till I reminded her. Asked myself and my brother if fish was hot we said its OK but didn't really check as chips were totally cold. She just brought it back with the same fish which on further examination were awful not cooked properly and although we ate it it was not a good experience for us. Waiting staff did not seem to be interested and a little offhand customer service and satisfaction did not seem to matter. My mother is 85, had to go downstairs for toilet as disabled toilet was closed. No coffee as machine broken. It was not an enjoyable experience and not worth the 33. 00 pound we spent there. Very disappointing and to be honest the food was substandard to the point of being inedible. Food just warmed up and brought back to us. Your Blackpool establishment leaves a lot to be desired. Didn't want to cause a fuss as mum was with us but I will be sending an email to the head office. Totally disgusting service and food.

Absolutely the best pies in the uk, m8 seriously I love pies but would marry the steak and kidney got to try everyone banging

No vegan options, food dry and overpriced. Will never return.

Always use HR love it but on Sunday had a takeaway and not nice at all . Horrible old chips dry small fish ,sorry but not good

Sausage was ok but serious lack of batter and what was there didn't stick to sausage. Tried them but won't buy again.

I went to Bournemouth yesterday looking forward to Harry Ramsden Fish and Chips. Some years ago a friend had recommended Harry Ramsden. It was an experience that I had not forgotten until yesterday. My Sister ordered Fish and Chips twice with 1 Coke and 1 Cider this came to £36.00. When the meal arrived it did not look apertising not only that it was awful. I was most disappointed that I left London looking forward to a great lunch. I felt sick because I had informed my Sister it was the best place to go how wrong I was. Well Harry Ramsden you have gone right do own the hill . This had spoilt my day to Bournemouth. Disappointed Customer I would appreciate some form of companstion it's not about the £36.00 it's as bout the quality of the food being served to customers. I would apprciate a response.

Went to the Blackpool restaurant last Sunday for our lunch as we where on a day trip. Lovely. Eat and great service. As we left the restaurant and wondered round the shops my 16 year old son realised he had lost his phone. I tried to ring it but no answer. He remembered he last had it at the restaurant. He and my husband ran back and very luckily someone had handed it in. I don't know whether one of the staff had found it or another customer but I would just like to say a big thank you to whoever it was. He was so pleased to get it back. Thank you Harry Ramsdens.

Just spent £30 on this rubbish and my caddy got most of it fish was awful chips wasn’t much better best thing I got was the mushy peas! Will not ever order from there again hull

Had Ramsden Cod fillets before and were great, this time they were more like fish fingers, the batter was paler and they were absolutely awful. Not Happy at all,will be taking this up with Iceland as at £5 a bag there not cheap.

Went to the Eastbourne branch, what a rip off. I will never go again or recommend. The meal was very bland and our local chippy does better fish and chips. I also had oap's with me who just wanted fish and peas which they couldn't do so had to pay fot a meal which cost over £10 and the tartare sauce never came with any of the meals. Extortinate prices for very below average rather tasteless food

Big shout out and a huge thank you to Rob and the Blackpool manager. They went above and beyond to help me..they are absolute super stars. The fish and chips were excellent as always. But they were both kind and went out of their way to help me. I was over the moon it made my day....Brilliant

Stodgy outer ring of horribleness. Not up to Ramsden quality

We visited Harry Ramsdens 09/08/2021 evening whist on holiday in Blackpool. Head waitress was lovely and got us a nice table but it went downhill from there. LONG 1 hour plus wait for our food, then a waiter tells us something is not available we ordered, then another 25 mins wait. Food turns up and chips are luck warm, my large Haddock is 70% batter, girlfriends meal is wrong. We just eat our food because we hate making a fuss plus it's getting near to closing time now. Then finally they forget out deserts and I have to go up to counter to ask for it. One thing they did get right though was our whopping £36 bill.

Unfortunately Harry Ramsden have lent their excellent brand name to a substandard line of food served by Iceland, I love battered sausage from the chippy, and when I saw these in Iceland I thought fantastic so I bought some for £3 well to say I was Disappointed is so far an understatement its unbelievable, the sausage was tasteless and hard, despite following the cooking instructions, and everyone knows what chip shop batter looks and tastes like so this was not crackly no taste, so Mr CEO of harrys you need to have a rethink because this is not you.

Tasteless , Harry must be turning in his grave!

Visited Harry Ramsdens in Swanage after spending 20 mins ordering through app waited 15 mins for food which was poor in every aspect from the cremated fish and chips to the bowl of wilted lettuce with a hair in it that was supposed to be a Cesar salad. Even worse had to wait another 15 mins for drinks to arrive with the jug of pina colada almost undrinkable had to leave as not enjoyable to say the least. Also after £90 regretted not going down the road and sitting on the wall at wrights for half the price for fresh fish and chips with great service.

Well where do I start waited 15 minutes for battered sausage and chips with mushy peas and water got the order wrong first time just sausage and chips “no apology” water had been taken out of the fridge at this time so that was nicely warming up! Told one minute after 5 minutes the order turned up minus the mushy peas I was then told they had no forks. Totally crap food ended up in the bin stay away services on M1 near Leeds

Harry Ramsden in cahoot with Just Eat could care less how they threat people - it is time that we start boycotting those business till they start caring about their customers again - placed an order - after 1h20 still nothing and when you call them - guess what - could not give a SH….

Let’s start shutting these business down to make place for the people that do care
