Went to Brighton Harry Ramsden's. Ordered 2 fish and chips. One regular and one small. The small looked larger. When I enquired, I was told that they are graded according to weight and the ‘regular’ was definitely the bigger fish. It wasn’t. Also, the mushy peas were cold. All in all, ridiculously small portion size even for a ‘regular’ and poor quality tasting chips. Disappointing overall. Harry Ramsden's is very overrated. Won’t go back there or any other branch.

Went to Bournemouth's Harry Ramsden's on the beach. Order large chips @ £3.99 and received around 20 chips in a box. The place was empty so we sat on the bench in the place only for the guy behind the counter to say "you can't eat that here, you need to go out" whilst pointing at the door. Made us feel like we'd done something wrong and sent us out in the freezing cold to eat, even though a large family had just eaten theirs in the same place. Well, the chips were cold in minutes. All in all, rude staff, poor customer service, ridiculously small portion size even for a large and poor quality tasting chips. Harry Ramsden's seems so over rated.

Bought small sausage curry sauce said 16 in box got 14 next time got 15:
Curry sauce waste of time not enough sauce for one small sausage
Complained told to take it up with Iceland cos bought frozen so did

Never will buy there product again told others there wont buy

If you have a baby and are looking for somewhere to eat whilst at Cheshire Oaks then Harry Ramsdens is not for you!

We visited this establishment and were told there was no room for the pram despite the venue being half empty. Apparently the 1 table for a baby was occupied.

There was no offer to pull two tables together to make room for the pram and to be blunt the tone of the employee made it clear we were an inconvenience and not welcome.

If you have a baby you will understand that mealtimes out can be stressful and your priority is to sit down and feed your child - make life easier for yourself and cross this venue off your list.

Brighton Harry Ramsden's 15:00 today. 2 portions of chips ordered takeaway. Tried to eat them back in the car - they were rock hard, threw most of them away - obviously reheated from lunch time.

We stopped at great Yarmouth shop at lunchtime really looking forward to our food.
Unfortunately the chips were dry, warmed up several times I think.
We asked for small cod, we received a piece of fish smaller than a fish finger.
My piece was nearly all batter.
We were extremely disappointed. Cost was just under 30 quid.

Don’t know what all the fuss is about below. I love Harry Ramsden’s in Bournemouth. Best fish and chips whilst looking out at the beach. I take my mum every Friday as a special treat.

hi i have written every day for 22 days to harry ramsdens about the service i got in m40 services, fish and chips 1 no vinegar 2 no tartare sauce 3no beans the chef walked away as i ordered to talk to a family behind us waited 15 mins for him to begin cooking our order like I've said 22 days nothing at all from them just ignoring from all angles ............ nmot happy at all steve

At leed Skelton lake service area. Staff are rude ignorant and scruffy. There's no stock of food. Fryer broken so can't sell sausages no pies awful fish and manky chips. Peas served in coffee cups. This place is a joke. Do not use it is rubbish.

Bought Harry Ramadan chips from Iceland and s I can say keep walking .. they are dry and no flavour nothing like chip shop chips which I love and to add to it I had their fish which is not cheap as another high end store is the same price and great so keep walking on both ..items not not nice ..my opioion

Harry Ramsden’s Fish & Chips, Selly Oak, Birmingham.

I ordered 2 fish, 1 large chips (to share between two) and 2 mushy peas, to be delivered by UberEats. Friday 29th July.

I paid premium delivery charge for priority delivery.

The Good: The delivery was quick and the delivery agent very personable.
The fish was lovely - good flavour with light batter.

The Bad: The portion of chips was so far from large - I’ve had regular sized portions of similar size. The fish was also small for the price. In addition, one pot of mushy peas was missing. The meal barely satisfied the two of us.

The Ugly: I was charged the full amount - for the missing pot of mushy peas and a portion of chips that were about half the size they should have been.
I wrote a similar review to this effect on request from Harry Ramsden’s for feedback and I requested an appropriate refund. So far I have had no response.

I advise potential customers to be wary of Harry Ramsden’s Fish & Chips in Shelly Oak, Birmingham.

Harry Ramsdens Great Yarmouth---Not up to standard and very pricey

Very unimpressed.
We visited Bournemouth today. Decided to get ourselves some chips.
Ordered one portion of chips, a haloumi burger (with chips) and 3 bottles of drink, cost £16.
Admittedly the poor staff were rushed off their feet but when we opened the bag they had forgotten the chips.
Had to queue again to get the missed off chips.
Can honestly say the wait was definitely NOT worth it.
The chips were hot but insipid, pale and unappealing. My son said the haloumi burger was just ‘ok’, he’s had better.
The portions was quite small too.
So not worth the money. We visit Bournemouth frequently but will give it a miss next time.

Recently visited Harry ramsdem’s, on Cheshire oaks. Staff were all friendly and helpful,very pleasant visit. Will definitely be returning

Patient friendly polite staff. Always greet with a big smile and a warm welcome. Have tried most of the stuff on the menu. Fave is fish bites and chips. 2nd place is the chicken burger. Beats The rivals in the food court. I eat here two to three times a week. The fish is delicious and the chips are a good portion. Piping hot and nice and fluffy on the inside. Just how chips should be.

so my jumbo sausage and chips was 2 small sausages and a fist full of inedible chips with plenty of black bits to crunch on. The price was disgusting for what you got. When I said "is that it?" she said " yeah I know" and looked embarrassed. Good way to put your staff in a daily humiliating position. I bet the morale is way high 👎 no wonder so many closed down🤷 Never again from me.

An excellent meal - piping hot, not greasy and delicious! Good, efficient and courteous service.

Both myself and my wife visit and eat here at cheshire oaks shopping village in ellesmere port quite often, always had good service and we are looked after, cannot fault it, I got the name of the lady today who was very kind and thank you to Gill and staff who are always polite. And a happy birthday to Helen, you know me as the guy with the hat, many thanks again..

Harry Ramsden’s Brighton- what can I say. Service poor, waited almost 20 minutes to order a take away then another 15 minutes + to get the food. Staff seems all over the place, they are getting plates of food ready but forget about the people ordering take aways. The serving area looks messy too, staff taking food with their bare hands and move the food around on the plates , that is very off putting. Ask for two cans of coke, but I was told it’s only for online orders, there’s a fridge full of fizzy drinks! Weird! Food was ok slightly on the too oily side. Won’t order from them again.
