Food cold long hair found twice in mushy peas poor hygiene women serving food with very long hair tied up but not in a hair net this was a the Cheshire oaks Harry Ramsdens long wait for food over all not impressed food cold on arrival

Visited your Blackpool branch this evening, arriving at approximately 6pm, waited 15 mins for our drinks order to be taken along with our meal request. I appreciate its a Friday night and things are busy, but had to ask for our drinks after waiting an additional 30 mins, to be bought out incorrectly from our request. Which was then corrected and apologised for.Our food arrived 15 mins or so later. The food I have no issue with, tasted nice, hot etc but no acknowledgement of the wait given . When the lady now known to be the manager who i will come onto in a minute came to clear our table and asked was everything okay with the food we said yes food was but didnt mention the slow service. We then waited 20 mins for a dessert that never arrived and asked to speak to the manager to express our dissatisfaction with the service we recieved as this was now almost 2 hours after we arrived. We were met with a hostile tone and a argumentative nature and she didnt want top listen or acknowledge how we felt. We feel the manager needs to be sent on a conflict resolution course as she matched our disgruntled behaviour and raised her voice to us. After cancelling the dessert due to the time delay and no other member of the party (4 people)being offered a dessert she was reluctant to amend the bill for a item never received when it came to paying the amended bill her manners were atrocious and became no existent and stormed off once payment had been processed. Will never visit a Harry Ramsden establishment again and wouldn't recommend to friends and family.

Was seated in a booth.. table was sticky and had obvious scum marks in corners, it was filthy so we asked to be moved! 2nd table was sticky, but clean looking so we stayed! Food was absolutely delicious, the staff wer courteous and service was fast! I wouldn't go back here again just because of that first table!! But I can't fault the service or the food! Just give the cleaners a good talking to ;)

BOURNEMOUTH SEA FRONT BRANCH.
Spent £25 on two large cod and regular chips, waited for half hour expecting freshly cooked, got the worst fish I have ever had, dried up and re heated, batter rock hard and inedible.Do not believe that a well known names means good quality. I will never use HR again for food, better to go to an independent fish and chips and see them cook it fresh.

We always visit Harry Ramsdens on our annual family beach trip and cannot ever fault the food or service. Although this year I was really shocked when I asked a member of staff if there was a vegan option which apparently there is not, FIRST restaurant I have ever visited that cannot cater for this lifestyle. Shocking for such a large chain.

Eastbourne restauarnt-Very very expensive and not worth it I had an over 60's cod & chips it was a pathetically small portion more suitable for a small child people over 60 still have adult appeites the rergular fish & chips plus soft drink is like almost £20

Spent a fortune in there the staff were very rude and couldn't give a damp about where you went to eat the fish was over £9 and was less than approximately 5 inches long we had a special needs child with us but that didn't seem to matter it was give us your money and get out. I have never written a bad review about anywhere but if I could I wouldn't give them any stars I certainly wouldn't recommend to anyone

Called in the East Midlands outlet 31/07/23 ordered the managers special hake . Fantastic food hot, crispy batter chips all freshly fried and noted staff all seem to be very happy in there work all seem to know exactly what to do thanks

I had a uber delivery from the great yarmouth shop. The chips were soggy and I would say some under cooked the fish was ok but nothing special the onion ring were under cooked and the onion was still raw. For th price I paid I am very disappointed with my order this was also the first time of using harry Ramsdens and sorry to say will be my last.

Had an issue with the portal upon using my vouchers to make a booking .
I did think it was going to be painful to sort over the phone .. I WAS WRONG
I spoke to a lovely professional friendly man named Tom over the telephone, he was extremely patient and left me at ease with my booking had been completed

I ordered a large fries and 2 halloumi bites. The portion for a large chips is really small.
A large fries should be what it says.
It should come in a separate box.
Fish and chips usually come in same box because it balances what you are paying for.
This is the second time this is happening.
On the other hand, the halloumi bites were excellent as always.

Don’t waste your money
Waited for a table for 30 minutes when there was an empty table right in front of us which we was given after waiting ! Had to order at the counter and pay before we had even eaten. The drinks were awful we had coke Diet Coke and a sprite all of which taste like plain fizzy water. We complained and was given a can of coke as a replacement but a large coke was almost £5 so a can of coke cost us almost £5 we were not offered any money back and when we ask was told they could not refund the difference 🤬 food was not great chips where cold and soaked in chip fat so much it was actually pooling on the plate. Now I get things gone wrong when it’s busy but this place was half empty. Total waste of £82 certainly will never go there again and as for famous world wide sorry but it needs to be very much ashamed of its service. Toilets were also filthy as was the floor and table where we sat ! Save your money and go elsewhere total rip off !

Visited Harry Ramsden restaurant on Bournemouth sea front today. We asked whether dogs were allowed on the outside terrace and were told yes they were. As we walked into the terrace a very rude waiter looked at us and shouted ‘those dogs won’t be allowed on terrace for much longer’. Another waiter came to the table and I asked why they hadn’t just said dogs weren’t allowed than be so rude about it. This waiter did apologise but we then asked if they offered a dog water bowl to which he replied ‘no we don’t’ I again asked whether dogs were permitted or not and he said yes. I asked why they had made us feel so unwelcome if that were the case? He said make sure they stay hidden under the table. (2 x little bichon frises , well trained, on leads and never table fed) We felt so uncomfortable at this point we left. It would be useful and far more polite if this branch decided a dog policy and stuck with it. It’s so rude to allow us in and then ensure we were aware dogs weren’t welcome. We left and found a water bowl placed at the door before entering the restaurant?? Confusing and ridiculous! Which is it Harry Ramsden Bournemouth… dogs or no dogs!!!

Cheshire Oaks. Two kids meals one fish one chicken bites with chips. Fish and chicken freshly cooked and delicious. Chips probably the worst I’ve ever had. Lukewarm and re fried up. Menu states freshly cooked to order. Server admitted that chips were re fries. I doubt we will eat there again.

Had chips from takeaway in Bournemouth today. £7 for chips that we lukewarm and soft. So disappointing.

I bought a packet of HR Atlantic cod fillet strips from Iceland. The last thing I expected coming from my oven was the strong smell of garlic. They were do disgusting that even My dog wouldn’t eat them. I’m sorry but fish and chips doesn’t have garlic on it!

Good hot food, clean surroundings friendly efficient staff. Lower the prices if you want more customers. I would certainly recommend you.

Cheshire oaks overpriced.. HARRY RAMSDENS... large was small £16 for a goldfish ... terrible... its no wonder they ask for your payment before serving. Having mentioned it when they come up and say is everything ok.... having suggested it's a bit small and been to Harry's on many occasions she simply said they go by weight not size the oldest suggestion in the book to keep you wondering of course.. rubbish dissatisfied terrible Harry you need to get your skates on and sort out the vagabonds that run your buisness.. but for me never again .... theres my gripe

I went into Great Yarmouth Harry Ramsdens to get a couple of portions of chips came out with 1 portion if you could call it that. As soon as i walked in the door i was not greeted as i would have expected just got told there was a 12 minute wait I just said i wanted a couple of portions of chips the next thing i knew was that the chips were £3.29 and i had to pay i then waited for my chips whilst the server prepped another couples meals, she then shouted to the back can i have a regular portion of chips they were then scooped across to another counter to which the server then put into a box she then put said box of chips onto the counter and said heres your regular chips which i took and left once out side my hubby and grandaughter opened the chips there weren't many chips in the box for the money and they were virtually cold but as my young grandaughter was hungry she was able to eat them straight away without waiting for them to cool down, my hubby was not impressed considering what i paid for a few measly chips. We will not return they were the worst portion of chips i have ever purchased and the staff need training on how to greet customers ( it wasn't as though they were rushed off their feet)

Today made husband which he loves the.Harry ramsden... fish fingers.... looked delicious... they had no taste at all... i tasted one.... tastless. very dissappointing for there food usuall lovely....
