Premium $$$$ 4 subpar equipment and even worse Cus.Ser.

I bought the H198130 in Feb.2023, About 6.1.24 the meter started having inconsistent EC readings. it no longer works and the folks at Hanna said I needed to buy a completely new ec+pH meter. $250 !!! Seems like a premium $$$ to charge for subpar equipment . Customer service was like talking to a wall, no help, they did offer me a 10% off code,(worthless) b/c the website has a 15% offer currently. Will NEVER BUY FROM HANNA again

Hanna UK Customer Service

Hanna UK have given an excellent service and help with my dKh meter, the meter was giving dubious test results, they offered to check the meter over to ensure it was still working as it should, the meter was sent in, tested and returned to me within 3 days
I now have a meter I can be confident in again

After purchasing the Hanna copper test…

After purchasing the Hanna copper test kit at a very expensive price of over $100, you then have to buy additional copper reagent sachets to use with the kit! Additionally, the sachets are extremely difficult to pour into the tiny bottles as they stick to the sachets so you basically get the powder everywhere - and there's no information anywhere regarding what the reagents are made of and/or if they are toxic. For an expensive device, at least design it better... supply a large amount of reagent, and maybe place it in a small bottle with a scoop, so it's actually easy for the customer to place the reagent in your tiny bottles. But because we have to use the sachets, and they pour out everywhere, you get inaccurate readings - and then have to do the readings again and again, just to double check - and of course, you have to waste more reagent and buy a new stash. I'm not sure if this is designed intentionally to get the customer to spend more money, yet it seems like it - given the design and the amount of false positives. I can't say I'd recommend this product.

Waardeloos automatisch doseersysteem

Automatisch doseersysteem geïnstalleerd in 11/21. Na 1,5 jaar niks dan ellende: lekkende leidingen, technische ruimte van zwemspa volledig aangetast door producten, app die niet updatet, constant foutmeldingen,.. Kortom waardeloos! Hanna verwijst naar installateur, die krijgt weinig/geen ondersteuning. Bij installatie was vertegenwoordiger aanwezig, nadien niet meer gehoord of gezien.

Excellent products and customer service

I have been using Hanna instruments products for many years without problems. Once now I had one of the reagents not performing. I purchased at Amazon and it was out of the window for return, so I called Hanna for help. They were super prompt to approve the replacement of the item. I am super impressed by the quality of the products, but even more impressed by the customer service. Something many companies do not understand is that a product is as good as the company customer service and Hanna surpassed any expectation on both aspects. Kudos to Hanna!!!! and Thank you Robert!

Moest ik minder dan 1 ster kunnen geven zou ik het zeker doen ! Koop er nooit !!!
Onze logger kapot na 11 maanden dus nog in garantie! We krijgen een factuur van 130€ voor herstelling terwijl een nieuwe maar 75€ kost ! En dat terwijl hij nog steeds in garantie is !

Total rubbish lack of customer service

Total rubbish lack of customer service. When my 2 month old groline pH soil tester wouldn't calibrate, Hanna just ignored pleas for help by email. It was purchased with charitable funds and was just hard-earnt funds down the drain. AVOID the sales spin. They take your money and then you're on your own!

What a disappointment in Hanna…

What a disappointment in Hanna Instruments. I bought a combo meter for over $200 in January of 2021 hoping I would get at least 5 years from it. Today it's dead. For some reason the batteries run dry within 48 hours even if the device is off.
I wrote tech support even though the device is past the 1 year warranty to see if service could be charged or a replacement head (my unit can have a replacement head instead of the entire unit) be purchased.
Tech was good enough to respond within an hour. I was told that fixing the unit would not be cost efficient for me as they charge over $100/Hour to service plus shipping fees and taxes are my responsibility both ways. The tech suggested buying a new model at $200.00 (So basically over $100/year to use a Hanna).

Without expressing my true frustration over this news, I will just say I will never buy any instrument from Hanna again. Ever. I can get a combo meter from rival scientific instrument vendors for a fraction of the cost with better warranties and services. It won't be a Hanna, but my response to that is: IT WON'T BE A HANNA.

Wonderful Service!

Wonderful, wonderful customer service from Lucinda and Sarah!

Due to no fault of their own, my parcel was over a week late. Both Lucinda and Sarah cared, and followed up with their delivery partner consistently to the point of using a different partner and express delivery to get me my parcel on time.

I can't thank them enough. As a small business owner, it was very important to me to not let my customers down. They appreciated this and did everything within their power to help.

Thanks a lot to you both!

The worst instruments ever

The worst instruments ever, l bought the PH meter and followed the instructions very carefully but the ph meter reacted with the storage solution and crystallized, the instrument broke and l just lost my money. The customer service is the worst. They didn't consider my problem and said unfortunately we can not help you.
The second problem is having paid with a credit card and after six months they contacted me because they didn't find my payment, l had to pay again for the second time for a non functioning instrument, and

l had to go through a long process with the bank to have a bank statement of a year back, to be able to proof my payment, at last l could proof it and am waiting for my money to be paid back ( hopefully).
I really suffered with this purchase and regretted buying from this company.
Will never repeat this mistake AND l don't recommend it at all.

My first probe "finally" broke after 2…

My first probe "finally" broke after 2 years considering the lifetime is arround 6 months from what i know, these instruments really overpreform anything ive ever had in my possession before, this beats bluelab by MILES and ur able to just switch the probe.. very nice !

Acquistato un phmetro con elettrodo per 600€, l'elettrodo arrancava ma funzionava. quando si è sballato completamente l'ho mandato in assistenza ma mi hanno detto che è un bene di consumo quindi la garanzia è di 6 mesi ed in più loro non sanno come è stato trattato quindi non potevano sostituirlo. mi hanno offerto uno sconto del 20% in esclusiva su una nuova sonda ma la nuova sonda presenta un altro problema. credo che l'unica soluzione sia quella di sostituire il tutto a favore di aziende più serie.

Alkalinity tester unreliable. Avoid

Purchased two alkalinity reagents from them for the hanna alkalinity checker. The first one was reading 7 and had been for a while. Noticed my corals looking rough so tried the other bottle of reagent and it was reading 14!!! So I had been over dosing and no knowing I had been due to the incorrect test results. Clearly not reliable for testing a reef tank. Emailed them more than once to say what had happened and didn’t get a single response. It’s not like the products they supply are cheap either. My advice avoid them. Not accurate at all.

Customer Failure Company, don't recommend!

I purchased an EC meter from Hanna on June 7, 2021. I looked at other brands and went with this company. I was a user of Bluelab for a long time, customer service to reliability and wish I never even bothered to make a purchase with Hanna as seeing other reviews was a mistake on my part. I did lack of research on the customer service, warranty, BBB among other sites. I was comparing models, features, price. So, I reached out on a chat window and sales person came on, he was nice and helpful on picking the model for me, budget to my purpose of just general use. This person went beyond and email conversations, he gave me what I needed as far as maintenance as far as solution went to complete the order too. Salesperson (chat window) even helped out on helpful contact information on my problems I was having. I used his contact information and tried to reach out in forms with no avail.

I made a purchase. I saw the progress, fulfilling the order, shipping status. The shipping was glitchy at first, had my location in another state, then got the right information. I paid for the 2 day shipping FedEx. It got stuck in 2 locations for a day. I contacted the salesperson, he helped out by giving directions from contacting FedEx and contact form on Hanna. I did a claim with FedEx, yes as you see their rating, they could care less. I did the contact form on Hanna, no response either of the concerns of the packaging being lost etc. Salesperson still in contact with looked at the shipping map, it should been 2 days at the latest 3, then in turn 5 days. He thought it was odd, so I did do the above to find out what happened.

I received the package, beat up, no fragile sticker on outside, 2 day shipping. FedEx did reply, stating the package was received on such and such date, claim was denied. I didn’t get my hopes up on that how they treat their customers and some had far worse than me, lost package and shifting it to the supplier/company to cover damages etc. I contacted salesperson, he was very helpful and concerned and did apologize, package was damaged, item was okay at first, it has problems that have to address to get it working to be accurate. I do understand, shipping being late out of control to some degree. The case of this company’s lack of response through contact form, just to reach out to the customer help with the issue and concerns.

That just didn’t happen. Company sent emails to review the product, I put it had glitches and had to be calibrated often, to not use FedEx as a carrier. Then I received a review to fill out on how the company was to service to everything, I gave them 1 star and the 1 star was to the salesperson (chat window) was great. This was 2 months later mind you. I was like oh my, I got something to review this company and no response to any concerns from 2 months ago? Not acceptable. I read the terms on Hanna, shipping, delays, not responsible when it leaves their facility too. It was like most companies’ terms, to lost, not receiving, damaged is another thing, never was a response.

After the review of the company, not even normal operating hours, a “Customer Success Manager” contacted me. Top of the subject line was a contact form from 2 months ago, “Lost Package.” Upon, emails back and forth. No control of shipping terms, acknowledged 2 months not contacting me about that was a big issue. Last email was asking if my equipment was okay, through shipment? I did respond, no it was glitchy and had to be recalibrated often. No response ever again. It has been over a month almost 2 to this day, I figured it was a lesson learned by them from their mistake, nope it is a pattern.

I don’t recommend this company. It took a review of them 1 star from their review from how the company did to respond to concern. Odd. They don’t care, money took, doubt warranty would be covered, I sure didn’t get a response back again, almost 2 months later. “Customer Success Manager” is responding to a negative review and then again ignored, not sure on that is a success. That showed you right there, they don’t care to respond again. My experience and helping people to be leery on making a purchase from this company. Lost money on a glitch meter and stuck with it and no help on warranty either.
