Just, as others have said, the quote given on the phone doubles when they come in. Supposed recycling taxes that were not shared at the initial phone call brought the cost from £231 to £420. But the movers themselves did a good job.

Avoid this company to avoid being scammed. Like other people who have left reviews we had a quote and then on arrival they DOUBLED the price after calling "the office". It was incredibly stressful as they also only want cash.They hacked the sofa into little pieces to remove it and left a trail of rubbish down the stairs as they left. Despite their website claiming to know the building, and being aware that the flat was on the 8th floor, when the team arrived the price went up by almost 3 times because it they claimed not to realise how far they would need to carry things. The clearance itself was fine.

I would suggest you avoid this company at all costs!
An initial quote of £514 was given to remove 4 double beds and mattresses, a 3 seater settee, 2 seater settee , kitchen table and 4 chairs, 4 chests of drawers and a glass coffee table.
A unmarked van turned up with two non uniformed gents, the older one very much on the unfit side. Almost immediately the amount to take away was questioned. I agree that there were more items but far less volume in size and weight. The 2 sofas were no longer going, nor the table and chairs, nor the glass coffee table nor one wardrobe.
It should also be stated that every bed had been dismantled and everything needing to be removed had been bought down to the street.
The older worker pinged a number of photos to his boss, not Lisa who I originally dealt with. The company knew that we only had that day at the house. I received a new phone call informing me that the original quote was only an estimate and the new cost would be £1250! Scandalous!! We found another chap who cleared everything for £475. He was fully licensed and received a £75 tip!

Appalling Service
Frankly, I think the service was actually appalling!
I made the reservation for 09th June at 10.00am on 31st May and this was confirmed by Lisa. At 08.30am on 09th June, I called again to make sure that everything was fine for a 10.00am pick-up and I was told that it was all booked in. I went to the property at 09.30am in order to bring everything up to street level to make it easier to load. At about 10.45am, I called to find out why no one had arrived and was then informed that the truck was coming from Croydon and wouldn't arrive before 11.45am.
At 11.50am I called again as still no one had arrive and was informed that they were on their way and would arrive in 10 minutes. At about 12.10pm, two very nice guys showed up and I asked why I had been kept waiting in the rain for nearly 2.5 hours. They then informed me that they had only been given my address 20 minutes prior to arriving at the property.
I will put up with most things, but being blatantly lied to for over 2 hours is unacceptable.

Booked over the phone with friendly agent who could arrange for urgent same day garden waste collection. I provided very clear photos and instructions as to the amount of waste that was equivalent to 8-9 jumbo bags that needed removal, and was quoted £170. They arrived in the time frame given but immediately increased the price to £370!! This is a horrible pressure scam. I told them to immediately leave my property. Luckily my regular rubbish removal company were able to squeeze me in and do this job for £180.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience and that the final price did not meet your expectations.
We understand that a difference between the initial quote and the price confirmed on site can be frustrating, especially when photos have been provided in advance. Our initial prices are based on the information and images available at the time of enquiry and are given as quotations or estimates. The final price is always confirmed on site once our team can assess the actual volume, weight, type of rubbish, access, and loading requirements in person.
In some cases, photos may not show the full scale of the job, the weight of the items, or the complete amount of waste to be collected. If the job turns out to be larger than initially described, the price may need to be adjusted before the work is carried out. Customers are always free to accept or decline the final price before proceeding.
We are also sorry to hear that not everything was collected. This is something we would like to review, as our aim is always to complete the agreed collection properly and professionally.
We would highly appreciate it if you could contact us directly with your booking details, so we can identify the job, investigate what happened, and address the matter with the relevant team members.
