I deliberately waited a month before writing this review so I could give a balanced assessment of both the procedure and the recovery. Looking back now, I'm very happy with my decision to use Hair Transplant Solutions, and the biggest reason for that has been Tony's outstanding support before, during and after my transplant.

Like many people, I was nervous about travelling to Turkey and putting my trust in people I'd never met. Using Hair Transplant Solutions removed those worries. Tony's experience, honest advice and ongoing support have been invaluable. Even a month after surgery, he still replies to my questions—usually within minutes—and no question has ever felt like a nuisance.

Once I'd booked my flight from Manchester, Tony organised everything else. The transfers, hotel and clinic visits all ran smoothly, so I never had to worry about the logistics. The hotel was modern, clean and comfortable, and the shuttle service to the clinic was excellent.

The clinic itself was clean, modern and efficient, with friendly staff and minimal waiting times. My translator was excellent, explaining every stage of the process, answering questions and escorting me between each part of the treatment.

The doctor estimated around 3,800 grafts, but only 3,500 could safely be harvested because some hairs in my donor area were breaking at the root. I was told this can sometimes be caused by smoking, excessive caffeine or alcohol, poor diet, or stress. None of the lifestyle factors applied to me, and stress and lack of sleep were considered the most likely cause. Although disappointing, I fully respected the clinic's decision not to over-harvest my donor area, as this can cause permanent damage and, in severe cases, necrosis.

The only optional extras were the clinic's serum and biotin supplements. I think the serum is worth buying as it isn't available elsewhere, while the biotin can easily be bought in the UK if preferred.

The FUE procedure itself was very well organised. The local anaesthetic injections were the most uncomfortable part and felt similar to having a tattoo. Once numb, the rest of the procedure was virtually painless, with extra anaesthetic given whenever needed. Afterwards I was provided with antibiotics, painkillers, aspirin, stomach protection medication and clear written instructions, followed by a demonstration of the washing routine the next morning.

Recovery has gone as expected. The first week is the hardest, but things improve quickly after the scabs come away. A saline spray really helped with the itching.

Overall, my experience has been extremely positive. The reduced graft count wasn't the outcome I'd hoped for, but it wasn't the clinic's fault. Throughout the entire process I felt informed, well looked after and fully supported. Tony's knowledge, honesty and aftercare have been exceptional, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hair Transplant Solutions to anyone considering a hair transplant in Turkey.

Just back from Clinicana with Tony from Hair Transplant Solitions. If you’re considering a hair transplant do not get it done without Tony to guide you! He made it seamless. I cannot imagine how much more daunting it would have been without Tony to talk you through the process. His advice on your hairline, etc, on the morning of the procedure was invaluable. He genuinely wants the best outcome for you and he absolutely knows what he’s talking about. His patience with clients is unwavering and more importantly he is always on hand to offer the all important post procedure care instructions and answer any questions you might have. Tony is what made the experience great. He's always on hand to answer any questions in the run-up to the trip. Then on the trip he's properly on it all the time. He goes in to the consultation and ensures the whole thing runs smoothly, letting you know exactly what's going to happen, where you need to be and when. He's knocking about after the procedure, too, checking in on you, making sure you understand the post-op care, which is essential. Now, I'm a week out from the procedure and he's still always on hand to answer any questions you have. And there's bound to be questions, considering what you've been through.

Having Tony there was absolutely invaluable. And on top of that, he's a solid dude.
