Recently bought a Merc C63S Brabus from GVE and cannot fault. Russell was both professional with such a friendly approach. Many main dealers could learn alot about customer service from GVE. Russell was patient and went through everything. Nice touches that other dealers don't even seem to think about. Cannot recommend highly enough and next time we are looking to change cars will be in contact Russell again

If you look up the definition of customer service, you will probably see a picture of Andreas the purchasing manager at GvE! From when I dropped my car off to sell at their showroom he was very welcoming and personable, we spoke about cars for a good few minutes and he gave me a quick look around the showroom. From then whilst the car was for sale Andreas kept in regular communication regarding the vehicle, current market trends and enquires etc. He was always very thorough, honest, transparent and friendly when calling, and it genuinely seemed he was working with his sales team to guarantee the best return for my vehicle. Although the time of year maybe put a few extra weeks onto a potential deal Andreas was always reassuring that they were working hard to find a customer suitable for the vehicle.

Shout out to Seema aswell, who when i came to drop the vehicle off gave me a warm welcome and showed me to the waiting area and offered me a drink.

A very happy experience overall from everyone at gve, but as above a special mention has to be made for Andreas! Hopefully I can return to them again as a buyer rather than a seller!

I wrote a review in August of what I considered to be strange business practices relating to a vehicle (Ferrari 812) I enquired about and some rather confusing responses from GVE as to the ownership status of that particular car and it featuring on social media in the hands of an “influencer” while simultaneously for sale on the GVE website.

I found the situation somewhat out of sync with what I would expect of a high end car dealer so did some further research. In the course of that it became apparent that GVE does have relationships with certain social media figures. Some of these figures GVE seem to have endorsed via its own social channels are involved in the promotion of unregulated investment schemes.

GVE complained that pointing this out was defamatory and had the review removed.

Today the UK Financial Conduct Authority released details of a crackdown on a number of illegally operating “finfluencers” including adding several, including two known as HSTikkyTokky and DMO Deejay, to their scam warning list.

Each of these two can clearly be seen on the FCAs website under the heading “FCA Warning List of unauthorised firms”.

Each also has a relationship with GVE and has been featured/promoted via GVEs own social media platforms

Ok given GVE has responded I feel I should add a little more context.

Firstly I have not changed the review “several times” I put one up at the time and GVE marked it as defamatory leading to it being removed - I have subsequently provided a different and reworded version which they are unable to challenge.

Secondly a bit about me I’ve owned numerous supercars over the last decade and more

I rang to enquire about a specific car a blue 812 GTS

Firstly I asked about whether it had an aftermarket exhaust when they said yes I then explained that the Ferrari dealer I have dealt with in the past said that they wouldn’t honour the car’s warranty as a result. The salesman, Russel said this wasn’t something he had heard of before. This I found surprising.

I then asked about the car’s owner history.

This prompted a confused response and one which did not tally with the details available for the car via a reg check.

I was also uncomfortable with the answer as to whether this car which was for sale on the website was also one being used in several social media videos. It was.

Something just didn’t feel right about the car and the way it was being marketed.

I dug deeper and found the above links to social media influencers promoting unregulated fx scams.

GVE doesn’t seem to like the clear and obvious fact that they have been actively promoting such individuals, who are marked by the Financial Conduct Authority as on their scam watchlist, being pointed out. To me this seems a negative reflection on the business and something prospective buyers should consider.

Finally GVE has made no further attempts to contact me beyond the initial conversation and so nobody has “refused” anything.
