Negotiating with Chinese people has always been a challenge. Some parts of their suppliers come to be very dishonest people.

And Alibaba does a poor job keeping their website clean, and making sure suppliers don't lie, deceive, or send lower quality than goods, than the promised ones.

Chinese people can feel ok lying to you, and Alibaba is the perfect site for them, because it may not punish it. I would use competitors.

Transaction fees not refunded
I recently encountered several issues with my orders on Alibaba.com, and unfortunately, my overall experience was disappointing.

Firstly, I had issues with two of my orders (order numbers 204563062501022443 and 204562838501022443), and despite reaching out to customer service for assistance, the resolution process was slow and ineffective. The communication was lacking, and I felt like my concerns were not being adequately addressed.

Additionally, I encountered difficulties with the refund process for a canceled order. Despite canceling the order promptly and not receiving the product, I faced challenges in obtaining a full refund, including the service fee. This lack of transparency and adherence to refund policies was frustrating and unacceptable.

Overall, my experience with Alibaba.com left much to be desired. The customer service was lacking, the resolution process was slow, and the refund policies were not properly implemented. As a result, I am hesitant to continue using Alibaba.com for future purchases and would caution others to be aware of these issues

Shocking company. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
I purchased an item through alibaba. It should have taken around 1 month to arrive. 2.5 months later and I still have not recieved it. No problem these things happen. I stared a dispute with alibaba and they have been horrendous. They go against their own terms and conditions. They won’t refund you. Instead take days to reply to you. And then tell you to wait a few days. Contact them again and they take a few more days. To tell you to wait again. This process never ends. And they won’t refund you for missing items dispute what their terms and conditions state. Trade assurance is pointless as they don’t honour it. Avoid this shambolic company and go with a different one.

Alibaba have 60 days return policy and money back guarantee . I bought from them two android cellphones , and then I contact them that they do not work as they advertise , they send massage that these are cell with small memory 4Gb (my cell have 4Gb and is fast) and that's the reason they are slow , and maybe I downloaded to many aps (1 Game). Then I let them know that I want to return them and get money back , my account on their web do not show any record of my purchase . There is no way to contact them now from my account on their web .

Update 2025-09-07:
Somebody stole my Sealup Q8 removable battery ekickbike.

It became my favorite ekickbike, I travelled in one day 100km with it. It had a seat. It had removable battery which I could replace on the road with a charged extra battery for double range. I hope they still sell Sealup Q8 removable battery version on Alibaba.

Scammers promise with 1 year battery guarantee 80km range 48v 21 ah battery of escooter, looks like Kugoo Kirin, but real range is 30km and 15ah. I made complaint and provided evidence within 30 days of receipt, pictures and videos, that trip meter and speedometer (shows double travelled distance than real distance, and 30% higher speed than real speed, and battery is wrong) but Alibaba still stated it's not evidence. I raised complaint again, they closed it, stating guarantee-issue is my problem which i can talk about with the seller, even though explicitly it says Alibaba will make sure seller will keep guarantee promises, and i told them the seller denies the issue and even if it's true that Alibaba should help me get my guarantee fulfilled they can't do it because it passed more than 30 days. I did evoke complaint within 30 days, but it was refuted on grounds of no evidence (although there was evidence), and even if it was after 30 days I should still get help because the battery warranty is for 1 year. How can Alibaba constrain a 1 year battery warranty from seller to 30 days? Scam. I can't even review the seller, there is no such option anymore. Now I chatted with Alibaba's chat agent who said i have right to support if seller promised with 1 year guarantee a good battery. I was given a link to complaint which i did but when i submitted the complaint it said "Failure" and then when i pressed submit again i was taken back to complaint start page and lost everything i wrote. On android phone the complaint-pages are scrambled and it's impossible to zoom in on small text, or the fill in text becomes super large and difficult to handle. So yeah I am complaining about both seller, Sealup ekickbikes, and Alibaba. Outlet Charge meter shows 0.740kwh when battery became fully charged which is 15ah. 21ah, 48v x 21ah =1.008 kwh.

Ali baba is not good for UK buyers alot of scammers the sellers agree to send you goods you pay the taxes and customs to the seller then they dont deliver good because they really haven't paid customs and duty, they call you liars as a customer they dont help you after taking your money they are so rude and can even block you ali baba has no powers of their sellers so if they block you thats it you can't get your goods or money back avoid this crap of ali baba s!h!t not worth the hassle, only way to get your momey back is if you rang your bank we file a dispute with your bank against ali baba. Its worked for me in the past. Customer support on ali baba is focused om seller support you as a customer get treated like crap.

Complete waste of time. Want you to provide V.A.T registration documentation for a sample plastic box costing 50 pence.
I hate tids me, they just mess about ! Stick to running takeaways !

Ho acquistato 500 euro di materiale per lavoro. Il materiale è arrivato completamente danneggiato e inutilizzabile ma non a causa del viaggio aveva proprio difetti di fabbricazione(si scoprirà poi che erano scarti). Ho pensato può capitare (ore per controllare il materiale e fare foto).Contatto il venditore che mi invia nuovo materiale, con la richiesta di controllarlo prima.Materiale altrettanto danneggiato . Mi ritrovo con 500 euro in meno ,materiale inutilizzabile , la beffa di 250 +157 euro di tasse di importazione.
Ovviamente ho fatto la controversia caricando centinaia di foto e spiegando tutto MA ALIBABA dice che non ho caricato le prove NONOSTANTE IO ABBIA GLI SCREENSHOT DELLE PROVE caricate sul loro sito E PER QUESTO NON POSSONO DECIDERE LA CONTROVERSIA .Il venditore disonesto che nelle chat mi dava ragione (anche queste inviate ad alibaba) prima ha temporeggiato e poi è sparito .

I ordered something 3 months ago havent received the item and never got a refund. Scammers

Verzend alken gekocht, 1 dag later wordt de order geannuleerd door de verkoper omdat de prijs te laag zou zijn. Niet het volledige bedrag retour gekregen, volgens alibaba moet de koper de betaalkosten betalen, ook bij annuleren van de order door de verkoper. Boeven zijn het!

Does anyone have a UK contact number for complaints? I ordered faux fur dog beds to be made in China, I paid my money and UK customs confiscated my order because the seller hadn't filled the import forms in. I haven't received my order or a refund. Alibaba are not helping at all. I have since ordered my beds to be made in the UK. Snugbums

I've dealing with your agent called Helene CAO. She's always lie to me as she said conversation it was send via train 🚆 transportation and is almost in Europe .

The a last updated was today and the ebike still in China as I'm "unfortunates I can do nothing just keep chasing up my ebike which took more the 65 days since I've bought it."
So now just compromise and refund the money back to my PayPal account please 🙏 thanks for understanding.

If it sounds to good to be true It's not. Alibaba.com is loaded with scammers. Do not by nothing unless you pay Alibaba.com if they tell you it is safe to pay any other way they most likely are scamming. Even if yu see a shipping slip doesn't mean it is true.tell them you want to call the shipper by phone not the internet. Scammers are good everything is fake to make it look real. good luck.

Biggest scam ever!

Never shipped my desk! Protecting scam sellers! Bought Alibaba.com insurance and after sending all documents and conversations with seller support still didn’t wont to pay me back!!! I have never ever in my life experience such a scam. At the end I contacted my bank and send them all documents and they were able to dispute my payments…

Stay away from them and save your time and 💰

Avoid avoid like a virus you may think they are good company and your money safe but its NOT
When you have problem they don’t care about you they allow people to send endless time charge you airship and sending by sea biggest scammer company Alibaba.com and they allow suppliers to use inappropriate language too. Also if any shipper lost your shipment after paying all its your problem too
