SCAM

I bought the policy from Overstock for an area rug. I discovered a stain on the rug, and wasn't sure what caused the stain as I didn't witness the spill. So I filed a claim, the 1st claim "wasn't received" even tho I downloaded photos, and went thru the entire process. Shame on me for not writing down the claim number. So, I submitted everything a 2nd time. After reaching out to them when I didn't hear anything for a few weeks, they finally emailed stating that b/c the cause of the stain was "unknown" which is what I clicked on in their drop down menu, the stain isn't covered. I wrote back to say it was most likely apple juice, or another beverage, & they responded with...."we cannot modify your previous claim". I didn't want to state initially that it might be apple juice, as that could be giving false info, making a false claim can result in prosecution as they mention in the claim process. So by stating, I didn't know exactly what caused the stain, the claim is dismissed.

Its a SCAM!!!!!!!!!

Was talked into buying insurance which i dont usually do. However they told me i could claim for mechanical faults on the recliner mechanism. This was the only reason to take out the insurance. Made a claim only to be told i am not covered. SCAM SCAM SCAM

NEVER buy a guardsman policy

NEVER buy a guardsman policy. They have terrible customer service and will not get back to you. Their website to upload pics is awful. I feel like they do everything in their power to avoid or get you to not make a claim with their company. Thank goodness we purchased from a locally owned furniture company that took care of the stain on our couch.

Insurance scam

We purchased a sofa sectional from Havertys 3 years ago. The frame on the sofa was completely cracked and since then the sofa sectional has been replaced 3 times. Guardsman representative came to examine sectional and never got back to us. The last time Guardsman said it was normal wear. Do not buy this insurance,waste of money.

If I could give this company a big fat ZERO I sure would .
They are scammers. Will not fix a problem on a new couch . Said it is normal wear and tear. And they don’t do normal wear .

Guardsman is a scammerTerrible company…

Guardsman is a scammerTerrible company , Guardsman warranty people are cammers.
For everyone they say the same thing you claim does not fulfill terms and conditions.
It is covered under accidental damage, it means covered for any damage due to accident.

Keep on saying we will send it to review for management.

They are useless, worthless, scammers and money grabbers in the name of extended warranty.

I am contacting people effected in here and on Google reviews to take this matter and lodge a class action against them

Class Action Lawsuit

If anyone else is interested in a Class Action Lawsuit please email me at tyeodom at gmail. This company is one of the worst companies ever to deal with. I had damage to my couch and was sent a kit to fix myself. I paid hundreds of dollars for this "warranty" and I get a kit. On top of that their website never works to submit a claim and they don't take claims by phone. Pure garbage. Again, anyone interested in seeing if we can file a class action lawsuit please contact me.

If I could give them zero stars I would. They just flat out deny all claims. This is a scam company. They don't fix anything, they don't cover anything, and the furniture companies are in on the scam. There needs to be a class action lawsuit against this company and any company that sold these worthless warranties.

The absolute biggest scam and worst…

The absolute biggest scam and worst customer service..very disappointing that Havertys recommends and sells these so called warranties amd they are garbage do not waste your money ..been waiting 3 weeks for someone to figure out what to do with a stain on my cushion after they cleaned it a month ago I've called a dozen tomes and the hold times are outrageous..then if u do get someone they can barely speak English and tell u it's not their department and transfer you somewhere for another 30 minutes. I think they do this on purpose so people just give up amd they won't have to replace anything. After cleaning it a month ago they now tell.me I have to get it cleaned again and sit home another day waiting on repair guy ...they already had their rep clean it ..its like a game they are playing and absolutely ridiculous..also.told me the cleaning company will reach out and the wrong company reached out 5 days ago and have yet to hear from anyone again. So now tomorrow I have to waste half my day calling these horrible company again.

Company will not honor 3 year protection plan

I purchased a washer from Wayfair on 10/16/2020 with a 3 year protection plan that should start AFTER the 1 year manufacturer’s warranty expires per Guardsman service contract terms and conditions (see attached).

Under “Effective Date of Coverage” of Guardsman protection plan it states; Coverage for a failure resulting from a mechanical or electrical breakdown, as referenced within the definition of “failure” above begins upon expiration of the shortest portion of the manufacturers original parts and /or labor warranty and continues for the remainder of your term”..

I have also attached Hotpoint’s manufacturer’s warranty which shows Labor and Parts warranty 1-year entire appliance.

When I called to inquire about my warranty on Tuesday March 5th, a Representative stated that I only had a 2 year warranty and that I needed to send a copy of my invoice showing the purchase of a 3 year warranty. I sent an e-mail with a copy of my 3 year warranty invoice from Wayfair.

I then called back and spoke to a second representative that told me that my 3 year warranty from Guardsman included the 1 year manufacturers warranty plus 2 years protection plan which did not make sense considering that I paid for a 3 year plan with guardsman not a 2 year plan plus a manufacturers warranty. If that were the case that means Guardsman charged me for a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty which I already had through the manufacturer (Hotpoint).

Foam padding on our 3 year old leather…

Foam padding on our 3 year old leather sofa had lost resilience and also had a scuff on the arm. Technicians
Arrived and was told it's wear and tear and would not carry out repairs. [I felt sure they wanted yo get home as It was their last visit].

They make you wait a month to tell you it is not covered. No point in buying this protection is tears and rips are not covered. Then they said to write a letter only to get a response that it is not eligible for a refund! Worst company ever. I'm sure they will go under soon.

Waste of money buying the care product warranty, come up with flimsy excuses not to honour. Furniture stores need to stop selling this. As per most of the reviews they are not helpful, need to be reported

Absolute worst company I have ever…

Absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. Mine is a very long story but the short version is that I filed a claim mid September, I had to send the store receipt to them three times, even after they told me they got it, They finally sent a tech out about 6 weeks after I had submitted the claim and he said that he would not be able to repair my sofa to an acceptable level and he would send a report to Guardsman to let them know what his findings were . After waiting five months I was notified that their decision is that they were sending the tech out to repair it. Yesterday I tried to call them to let them know that I have already been told by the tech that he can't make it look good enough. They close that department at 2:00pm EST so I phone them at 10:20 PST, was on hold for 41 min when a recording came on, telling me to contact them the next business day and then hung up on me. This morning I called at 9am and was on hold for 1 hour and 5 minutes and I finally hung up. There are no words to describe how angry I am. I let the furniture store know what I have been dealing with for the last five months and I assured them I would never buy insurance through Guardsman again. Go to their website and see for yourself where they claim they resolve issues quickly and provide superior customer service which is absurd.
