GreenThumb Lawn Treatment Service Omdömen 

GreenThumb wrote to advise that they no longer had a representative covering our area, although they said the situation was being resolved. As scheduled lawn treatments had already been missed, I decided to cancel my account.

GreenThumb confirmed by email that my account had been closed and advised that someone would contact me regarding any outstanding balance. My account was in credit, so I expected the remaining balance to be refunded.

Despite my account being closed, I have not received a refund, and my recent emails requesting an update have not received a response.

This has been a very disappointing experience. Based on the level of communication and the delay in resolving my account, I would not use GreenThumb again.

My husband bought this service. He passed away 6 weeks ago. I have sent a message on their contact form as they inconveniently don’t provide direct contact, to inform them of this and request cancellation of the service. Not one response received to this or the 3 x subsequent emails to follow up for a response. My dead husband however receives emails demanding payment for a service I asked to be cancelled. I thought cowboy companies were a thing of the past, seems not.

Well the work was well done and JAMIE is so helpful and polite a great pleasure to deal with.

We have used Greenthumb for many years. I have given 4 stars because we have had some problems with our lawn this year for the very first time. Obviously we have to consider the very hot weather. Temperatures higher than normal. We have had our summer treatment so hopefully will help.

The Lawn Care team are brilliant and are doing a good job in looking after my lawn.

However, since the restructuring of the company, I have found it difficult to contact you at times. Telephone calls can be a nightmare, although ring back has proved a god-send. Emails are not always responded to efficiently and I have found that, on occasions, information has not always been passed on to the department/personnel concerned.
When I have managed to speak with personnel, they have always dealt with my queries efficiently and effectively.

I cancelled further treatment - had a confirmation in Feb. and Friday they came unasked between 7-9am - email arrived in my inbox at 8am confirming visit. They carried out a double treatment of fertiliser and oasis (the latter I had never had). Charged me £56. I queried it and they denied my cancellation. I wanted to raise a complaint and they have not replied.
At the beginning of 2026 they had killed my lawn and I have had to have it reseeded at vast expense, hence my cancellation in Feb.

We had the hard surface treatment (in fact 4 treatments) applied to our block pave drive over a period of 8 months. The initial treatment killed off the weeds but the real difference was after the 2nd / 3rd treatment when the blocks look noticeably lighter.

As always good service, Luke Kelly treated my lawn with Summer Ready on 25th June, informed me on his arrival and informed me of the treatment being carried out.
He left instructions on keeping animals off etc having carried out the work efficiently, very friendly guy, he asked if I was interested in water retention Oasis for £50 which I declined, a good representive for Green Thumb.

Very bad one of there slough local employees came cut what was told to be cut and in the process damaged property and said that it should have not been there and the left some of what needed to be cleared in the corner of my garden and a full bag blocking parking for my Neighbours, I don't recommend them as they do not care.

We have hade green thumb a number of years and are happy with the work they have done no weeds are visible in the lawn which is a pleasant experience the treatments ar well done and must work it saves a lot of work for yourself and is done much better

Helpful and polite when they come but I am not giving a high rating because of an issue I had last year. I think I was hoping for a more pro- active approach frim the company when last autumn they missed a treatment for a lawn pest. I will have to wait till this autumn for the treatment and in the meantime nothing can be done.

I would suggest you check they come promptly if you need to rebook or they reschedule. It may be a time critical treatment and you could miss it.
Apart from that, they provide a useful service and are generally helpful.

My half-acre lawn has come a long way in the 8 years that GreenThumb have been looking after it; all the moss has gone as have the huge cracks in the [clay] soil and the bare patches that would appear in spring and summer. We have a lot of wildlife (birds, foxes and badgers) and we back on to a dairy farm so the occasional weed seed does manage to get through but is easily spotted and dispatched or, if I'm feeling lazy, dealt with at the next GreenThumb treatment. A huge thanks to Howard Baker at the Canterbury branch for his efforts over the years - always reliable, professional and friendly. He probably has no idea just how much we appreciate the transformation of our garden.
