Not worth the money!
Not worth the money!! We will not be going back.
The room was over $300 and it included water park passes - but that’s it. Everything else is extra and very expensive - especially the food.
The room we had was very outdated and small with a super tiny bathroom with no sink or mirror or fan! I got claustrophobic and couldn’t use the shower in that small space. It was just way too cramped.
The bunkbeds were stuffed into a closet space and the mattresses on the bunk bed and queen bed were very uncomfortable. Some of the lights in our room did not work and the dresser drawers were stuck shut.
Paid a $100 “incidental fee” and was told it’s just a hold and that I will get it back in a few business days. But other reviewers say they have had issues with getting it back.
Also - they have they a large, private parking lot - but then charge a $20 parking fee? And no valet or anyone to help you with your bags and you don’t get an assigned parking spot.
You have to pull up to the door - leave your car running - go inside to get your parking pass, then come back out - put the pass in your car and THEN you can park.m
People were dragging their bags across the parking lot after they found a parking spot. The parking here is a joke - and least 100 cars at $20 each. That’s just a cash grab.
Also - the hotel does not have a separate entrance. So you gave to sit in the middle of the arcade waiting to use the elevator to go to your room. And there’s kids in wet bathing suits running around everywhere you look.
They should eliminate the parking fee and make it easier to enter the hotel by having its own entrance.
Overall this was a very expensive and very disappointing experience.
The staff was pretty great
The staff was pretty great. We had lost something while there and two managers went above and beyond to help us out and make sure we were taken care of. And of course the kids love it there. Reminds me of a casino but all for kids 😀
I am heartbroken writing this review
I am heartbroken writing this review, but this has been the worst business experience I’ve ever encountered.
I purchased a season pass for my children at this water park in Maryland. At first, everything seemed smooth. I called for clarification and was told that the pass could be used on weekdays only. I specifically explained that I needed to take my children on Thursday, March 30, during their spring break, and I was told that would be fine.
Unfortunately, my son became sick on March 30, and we were unable to make the trip that day. I called to notify the park and explained that I wanted to bring my children before the end of their spring break.
On Saturday, I called again and informed them that my wife would be taking the children instead of me. I was instructed to complete a credit card authorization form and list my wife as a guest, which I did as directed.
Despite following every instruction given to me, my children were denied entry when they arrived at the park. This resulted in my family driving 2 hours and 20 minutes from Waldorf, MD, to Perryville, MD, only to be turned away.
This experience was extremely upsetting, unprofessional, and unfair—especially to my children. Clear communication was not honored, and no effort was made to accommodate a situation that was caused by illness and followed up on responsibly.
I do not recommend this business based on how they handled this situation.
Dirty and Disgusting
Traverse City. This place isn't so Great...the main pool was cold and I know it's suppose to be really warm. The lazy river water was way warmer than the main pool, so I know there was a problem. Then we went to the ice cream shop and there was a hair in my ice cream. And to top it off, my daughter had a soft serve cone and got food poisioning. We weren't charged for any of it but it was still awful. We weren't able to enjoy the 2 days we were there and the management didn't offer us a discount for the time wasted. I thought the place was dirty and gross. I never saw an employee walking around swiping down tables, elevator buttons or anything that is touched a hundred times by everyone. Overall, the place was flithy and disgusting. We will never stay here again.
Terrible terrible place went to great…
Terrible terrible place went to great wolf in Webster they over charged me and refuse to give my refund they are now telling me that the payment that my husband made with his card in his name was refunded to my card in my name which is why they charged me again because they refunded his payment first off why would you refund a payment just to retake secondly you can not legally refund me someone else payment that is fraud
Terrible experience at great wolf…
Terrible experience at great wolf lodge. My mom took 3 of my kiddos. One of them got a bad fever. My mom ordered a thermometer and asked someone at the front desk to bring it to her. They refused. My son with a fever was in no condition to leave the room. So she had to leave him in the room with the other kids to go get the thermometer. It doesn't matter how cool your stuff is if you don't care about the wellbeing of your guests.
GWF promots itself as family and kid…
GWF promoted itself as family and kid friendly but offers no recycling for all the plastic food and drink containers. Think about all the plastic hundreds of people generate in one day. What could be more friendly than wanting the world kids inherit environmentally sound? They brag that water is recycled, but the threat from plastics is worse. Besides food/drink containers, there is all the Chinese-sourced, plastic, souvenir junk, specifically designed for kid-appeal and necessary to utilize some attractions, and destined for landfills. Food options are highly repetitive, sugar and fat filled, processed foods that are for most part, pre- made and reheated. I suppose it's clearly, profit driven reason for existing, excludes any sense of responsibility or consideration for provision of food or environment.
Money Grab 💰
It was so very dirty. There was food on the floor everywhere even in the stairwells. I went for my son's birthday. So we got the birthday pass and all the extras. This was my first time playing the wand game with my son.The last time I followed him around and helped him. We were excited that there was a new game but the new game was not near as fun or as challenging as the last one. Fighting the dragon on the old game was actually difficult. And beating all the quest was challenging. This one we finished in a day and it's the only game they have now. This was extremely disappointing because we were both looking forward to the game. It was also freezing in all the hallways. The doors were left open. It was so cold even in the water park. The arcade is crazy overpriced. I spent so much money there and for my son's sixteen thousand tickets there wasn't even any cool prizes for him to pick out on the higher level. They also charge for parking now, which used to be free. It just seems like a huge money grab now without all the fun. We were extremely disappointed. We used to love to go.And I was so excited to go for his birthday this time but we ended up very disappointed.
This year
This year, instead of giving my grandchildren more toys, I chose to give them an experience. I selected Great Wolf Lodge, even knowing their last visit was not perfect, because the children were unaware of the issues—they only knew they had fun. As a retiree, spending this kind of money on a gift is significant, so I wanted this experience to be special. Unfortunately, once again, there were numerous problems that should never have occurred.
Well in advance, I completed all paperwork stating exactly the amount I was willing to be responsible. My daughter understood all other charges would be their responsibility. I reserved a family suite with two queen beds, pull out sofa and patio.
The reservations were originally in my name so I called in advance to change the reservation name to my daughter’s. During that call, the representative, unknown by me, misspelled her last name. As a result, when my daughter attempted to check in, she was unable to do so. Although she showed her ID and requested the correction, staff initially could not resolve the issue. Eventually, a staff member was able to assist, but later it was discovered that the incorrect spelling remained in the system. On two separate occasions, employees at the bucket restaurant refused to provide her food because the name still did not match and treated her very rudely. She experienced the same problem when trying to make a purchase in the lobby store
Although I made the name change and updated the phone number and email prior to arrival, I was the person who continued receiving all Great Wolf Lodge messages. This was not corrected until after check-in.
At check-in, my daughter was offered a room upgrade that was supposed to include two bunk beds, a queen bed, and a pull-out couch. She was told the room was being finished and would receive a text when it was ready. After waiting 30 minutes, the room was still unavailable, and the family went to dinner. Two and a half hours later, with no communication, my daughter returned to the desk and was initially ignored. Eventually, a staff member handed her a slip of paper with “159” written on it—no explanation or apology provided.
The "upgraded" room did not have a sofa. It had two small bunks and one queen bed, which was insufficient for six people--3 adults and 3 children. This forced my oldest granddaughter to leave and drive home both nights. This is unacceptable. A $10 “upgrade” should never result in receiving less than what was originally booked. Additionally, the beds had no blankets, and there were only 4 pillow for 6 people.
Upon entering the room, they noticed a strong unpleasant odor. The sheets smelled of marijuana and cigarettes. There were cigarette butts scattered on the patio along with trash left behind. The sheets were described as disgusting, and a dirty bandage was found on the bathroom counter. The room was clearly not cleaned properly.
Finally, my six-year-old granddaughter went down a slide and landed directly in feces, which understandably caused significant distress. This should never happen in a facility designed for children.
Since returning home, both of my 3 year old granddaughters have been diagnosed with yeast infections--the exact diagnosis they received after their visit in July.
I have written more emails than I can count trying to get some solution with no solution. This is our last visit to Great Wolf Lodge.

Great Wolf Lodge Concord NC
We took our twin grandchildren, 10 years old, for a three day stay at the Great Wolf Lodge in COncord NC.
All in all it was a great experience.
The staff was great, all very friendly. Plenty of things for the kids to do, they spent most of the time in the indoor water park of course given the hot weather outside. There was staff all over and I feel that they were keeping a very good eye on things. Lifeguards rotated on a regular basis, and they were always attentive (eg, not on their phones!).
The crowd was a mix of all kinds of folks, and everyone was well behaved and got along fine.
Kids enjoyed the Magic Quest and the Arcade, as well as laser tag and virtual reality.
Food was OK, nothing great but the breakfast buffet is well stocked with items including an omlette station. The food at the wood fired grill was a little disappointing especially for the cost.
And it is expensive, just like everything else nowadays. But my wife and I felt it was a great trip for the money.
So it would have been 5 stars but for the food and the cost.
We stayed in a Wolf Den room, and it was perfect for us.
They sold our room
Today we drove two states away to start our four day, three night vacation with three kids under 4. Destination: Great Wolf Lodge in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. We were a day behind getting there, but accepted that we had lost out on a day of vacation. Well, turns out being a day late to your reservation means you miss out on your entire vacation. When I went to the desk to check in, I was told that since we did not check in on the first day, the reservation was canceled and the room had been sold. No contact about this from Great Wolf Lodge, even though we have been getting plenty of messages from them leading up to the trip. Also, no refund. And the hotel is sold out, so no option to pay for a room for the night and figure out the rest later. So Great Wolf Lodge has our payment for the room, and a payment from whoever is in the room tonight. Double selling rooms is straight up criminal business practice. I spared the staff from having to tell the crying children that their vacation was not happening. So now we are making the long drive back to Maine, took a week off of work for nothing, sad kids, frustrated parents, and ruined vacation.
Worked for sales department of great…
Worked for sales department of great wolf lodge through the special sale of the 4th of July 2024, worked more then 10 hours per day, since the commission was supposed to be good at the moment, we were pushed to do extra time the most we could we were getting burned out, work until the last day of the sale, and they told us that they were not going to pay the commissions because the negotiation was changed on the last minute, they did not payed my 550 dollars of commissions decision that devastated me and my family. They use companies in south america to play with their incomes now they using company in Medellin Colombia
Disappointing Experience: Poor Customer Service and Security at Great Wolf Lodge in La Grange, Georgia
I had an extremely frustrating experience at Great Wolf Lodge in LaGrange, Georgia. I left my key in a locker at the waterpark and realized it after the park closed. I went to the front desk, where the staff member was rude and unhelpful. When I explained my situation, she chuckled and asked, “You lost your car key?” with no compassion at all. It was incredibly stressful, and her attitude only made things worse.
I was told they would check the locker and call me, but after an hour of waiting, I called for an update and was told no key had been turned in. They claimed all lockers are checked every night. The next morning, I asked again, and they promised to look into it, but another hour passed with no update. When I insisted on seeing the locker myself, my key was right there all along.
The irony of this whole situation is that the purpose of using a locker is to have peace of mind that your belongings are secure. Instead, I spent the entire night anxious and unable to sleep because no one could check one locker for me. This lack of urgency and poor customer service ruined my experience!
I can't even begin to describe how…
I can't even begin to describe how terrible our stay was at Great Wolf Lodge. First, our room was absolutely disgusting. It was dirty when we checked in stick floors and a musty smell that never went away. It was gross.
But the real nightmare began after we checked out. It’s been 20 DAYS, and I STILL haven’t received my security deposit back. I’ve called multiple times and sent emails, but no one will get back to me. I’m being completely ignored. This is ridiculous. You can’t take people’s money and not return it on time!
To make matters worse, we had a family emergency and had to leave a night early. When we explained the situation, we were told we'd receive a refund for that last night we didn’t stay, but again no follow through. I’ve had zero communication from them since. I’ve left countless messages and even tried contacting them through their website, but they won’t respond. I feel totally ripped off.
It’s extremely frustrating dealing with a company that doesn’t care about its guests. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone, especially if you expect any kind of customer service or integrity. I’m beyond angry and still fighting to get my hard earned money back. Avoid at all costs!
Robbed disabled veteran
Do not book hotels through memberdeals!!! I booked a one night stay to great wolf lodge in Mason, OH using my disabled veteran discount. This was for my Daughters birthday who was turning 5. Unfortunately, winter storm Cora was approaching soon after so we waited till last day to see how it would play out before we called great wolf lodge then memberdeals about our concerns. Great wolf lodge was going to issue a 100% refund till they found out we booked through memberdeals and recommended we call them to get our refund. Memberdeals said they would cancel the reservation and request a 100% refund from great wolf lodge due to it being out of our control and created case #61280564. With that being said, I received email from memberdeals stating great wolf did not approve refund. So not only did we not stay at the hotel, they also robbed us out of $550 for a one night stay. I will not be dealing with memberdeals or great wolf lodge going forward. Stay clear or you may get robbed too.
The worst water park in Poconos
The worst water park in Poconos. They charge parking fee even if you take a taxi or bus to get there. It's almost impossible to reach them over the phone.
On average you wait 30-48 minutes per call. They take the information and then do nothing about it. They just forward the invoice again.
Terrible service.
Christmas 2024 at the Lodge!
We spent Christmas 2024 at the Williamsburg, VA location. It was a really solid place, but cwwwwaaazzee busy! The family had a great time, especially in the waterpark. If you're looking for an almost summer time experience during the winter, then head to the Lodge. You shant be disappointed! And yes, I said shant! LOL
