An absolutely gorgeous table, and my 8yo and 12yo put it together - it really was *that* easy!

Summary:
Product 4/5 (would be 5 if I hadn’t had SO many issues)
Service 3/5 (quite responsive but could be slow and many issues/hold ups happened that could have been avoided)

Okay so I have the replacement desk and all is well. The product is great if you don’t get a dodgy one. We had two one came perfect and mine was not. Then it was a faff. Hopefully it’s not a 50/50 if you get a dodgy one. I don’t think it is judging by reviews tbh.

Desk replacement came with no legs for me to use. So I can’t set it up and get the house sorted for Christmas/New year. It also didn’t come with the fittings or new paper instructions. Maybe they’ll be with the legs but it’s been another wait for a half completed delivery. It’s not been a great experience so far.

3.5 would be fair.

The desk is great and I love it but there’s been some issues on the way to getting my desk that could be avoided.

- the automated emails saying ‘it’s nearly ready etc’ are annoying and misleading. My desk came around 2 weeks or more after being said it’s nearly on its way out. Just don’t send it as it creates disappointment when I’m happy to wait.

- I got sent the wrong legs. These things happen and they were replaced BUT I still have the old legs as they haven’t arranged to collect the old ones. I feel like I can’t throw them out as that kind of goes against the circular furniture ideology.

- the assembly videos are ATROCIOUS. Bad angle and doesn’t show the parts clearly. Why colour code the bags and then not reference them in the videos? We figured it all out but the videos could be much better with different angles and shots of the pieces being used. We have a mustard made piece and their videos are great.

- There are some small imperfections on the desk which is annoying. Especially when my partner had the same desk and it’s perfect. I still love it but I’m not sure if it can be resolved really without sending back and getting again but I can’t wait again!

TLDR:
- Great products, slow delivery and the automated emails make it feel slower than it is.
- Customer service generally good but I still have issues to resolve.
- My desk has a couple of small imperfections which are a little annoying

Many months in and the table looks as good as new. Very pleased with the product.

Each person I was in contact with was very friendly and helpful. I was kept up to date at regular intervals as my order was being processed and the desk made, without having to make any calls or messaging the team myself. Any queries I had were quickly answered. I never had to wait on a phone line. A great relief in these times of large faceless businesses. Each individual went above and beyond my expectations - calling the courrier service themselves on my behalf, and adjusting my order as I requested.The desk is great. Just what I wanted. If the team are considering producing further products, I could do with a coordinating chair as I don't want a stool to sit on.

Components sent were incorrect size; took forever to get hold of customer service, who were curt and dismissive when I pointed out my concerns. Branding and positioning of brand and products implies superior service and craftsmanship; my experience suggests otherwise.

I ordered two Birnam stools in two different colour lino finishes. Both stools took longer than the estimated 7-8 weeks, with one of the stools taking much longer than the other, due to material shortages, I believe. We also didn't have all the bolts needed when assembling the first stool.

However, I'm more than satisfied with the way all the issues we encountered were dealt with. The missing bolts were immediately popped in the post; the second (even more delayed) stool was delivered free of charge; Izzy's communication was helpful and genuine throughout. And as for the stools: they are divine.

Really lovely desk with lino top. The delivery was delayed a fair bit due to all the issues this year but it was communicated well and wasn't a problem.

It’s a beautiful table. My husband calls it a work of art! And customer service was great.

We love our Brenin table and bench. When researching what to buy nothing came close to the stylish minimal look and with the focus on sustainability that you can read about all over their website, custom sizes and selection of finishes it was a bit of a no brainer. Had some concerns about the lino finish but so far it is holding up to regular usage, low levels of heat, spillages etc.

As we ordered just before the peak of the Brexit/covid supply chain issues that is impacting many industries we did have to wait a few weeks more than the advertised delivery date, and we had one minor production issue but it was dealt with fantastically - they shipped out a replacement part within the week so we didn't have to send the whole thing back.

Shout out to Isabella on the customer services team who dealt with our issues in such an efficient and friendly manner.

We bought a dining table and bench from Grain. We loved that we could request the exact dimensions to suit our space and the products look great in our home.

There was an issue with getting the items couriered to where we live, however Isabella did everything she could to ensure we received our order and the communication was great throughout. We have bought from a lot of companies recently as we’re furnishing a new house and the standard of Grain’s customer service was well above the rest.

Would definitely recommend :)

Our Birnam stool has pride of place in our bathroom. A little perch for a wine glass or a visitor. Super neat design and quality finish.

I would really recommend Grain. I now have a beautiful well crafted table made to spec and so easy to put together. Communication was great and although there were delays down to the pandemic I felt they communicated well. It was well worth the wait. Thank you Grain team.

I hunted high and low for a table that would fit into my new kitchen then I came across Grain. You can have the exact measurements that you want. The company were very approachable with someone always at the end of the phone. Under the current situation of the past year the table wasn't delayed too much. It was easy to assemble and very well made.

There was a delay in manufacture and delivery due to covid but I can tell you that the product, the double nest of side tables is top notch at a reasonable price. The tables themselves are well made, stylish and very versatile. Highly recommended product and great customer service!

We purchased a highbeach bench and dining table. Really happy with both especially the robustness as we wanted something that will be used for a long time. The table top actually arrived with some damage to it through distribution but Tom and Isabella were quick onto to it to have it rectified. Would thoroughly recommend.

I absolutely love my dining table and bench, although it did take a bit longer than anticipated to arrive. One thing I would say is that I got a grey top dining table and I would be very careful with anything scratching it. It’s a beautiful but delicate surface, so not sure I’d recommend this to someone expecting something really heavy duty…!

Amazing experience from start to finish. Would highly recommend ordering from the Grain Team. Excellent customer service, friendly staff and always there when I needed to ask something. The Brenin Dining Table was so easy to put together and the video instructions were so easy to follow.

Absoloutely stunning table, enviromentally friendly construction - we are incredibly happy with our table - it looks stunning! Timescales slid a little from iniitial order but aside from that their customer service has been amazing to the extent that they found some chairs to go with it :-)
