Everything turned out fine

Everything turned out fine, but there were a few bumps before I received my e-reader. When I ordered my reader, I was told it would be shipped in 3-5 business days. I hadn't heard anything more 6 business days later, so I emailed for a status update. I immediately received a reply saying shipping would be contacted. Another 5 business days pass with no further word on my reader. I email again. The response takes longer but this time I hear from shipping that my order is being looked into. Finally, it is shipped the next week, 12 business days after I ordered. It arrived quickly after it was shipped and has been working great for me ever since.

Excellent service!!

When I bought this reader I had some doubts regarding if it would be delivered to any country, but it was, Good ereader always told me the status of my shipping, the only thing is the shipping cost doesn't include the local taxes, so I had to pay them to receive my device

Very aggressive customer service

Very aggressive customer service. Was told to “just relax” after waiting a couple weeks to hear from them on when the items would be shipped. The initial text message that was sent said 3-5 business days.

I got scared because I read some reviews on trust pilot with similar complaints. I asked if they could give me and update on my order or my money back (if they couldn’t provide one) and then said if they couldn’t do either of those things that I would have to make a report to my credit card company. Here’s the response:

“We have shipped over a million products in a decade, Have over 40 employees, 5 offices, And are the largest ereader company in the world.

just relax

we do not appreciate how you focus on the 0.3% negative reviews, and don’t consider the 99.7% of people that DON’T leave reviews

if you are attempting to dispute a charge while the item is in process, this is considered theft and we will not stand for it

thank you”

I have been in the service industry for a long time and new would I ever respond to a concerned customer like this. My main goal is to make the customer/client feel at ease, and this was the absolute last thing this email did for me. I’ve been felt so belittled and offended as a customer. I actually don’t usually leave reviews, but I thought I should at least tell this story so that everyone is well aware.

If I would have known it was going to be coming from China (even though that have a warehouse in Canada) I would have just ordered directly from Onyx Boox.

As for the product, I did receive it quite quickly after I complained (would have been 2.5 weeks after I ordered in the end which actually isn’t that bad), but I can’t say how quick it would have come if I didn’t.

Great product, not a great experience getting it.

Order took much longer to process than promised, shipping took weeks, and was hit with unexpected import costs. No proactive communication from company, and very little details when asked for updates. Bought here since it was slightly less expensive than buying direct from the manufacturer, probably ended up costing more in the long run. Enjoying the product, but if I had to do it again, I would buy through a different channel.

Buy at your own risk.! Very poor shipment leadtime. By the time you get your purchase probably a new version have already came out. Don't buy from goodereader!

Sends your package after they confirmed it was cancelled. And refuses to refund your money.

I put in an order for a E-book reader, and after several days with no shipping-confirmation i asked to cancel it.

The representative told me that they would cancel, and that they would "put me in touch with Sales". Then days with no response from them, i get a notification that the product is shipped.

I immediately tries to contact them and they finally responds with a "sorry, but we couldn't cancel it in time" despite them having several days to do so.

They also told me now that they could not give me my money back, before i had rejected the package. The Shipping-carrier did not get enough information from the company to identify me as the recipient, so i had to wait for weeks until the shipment reached my country. Then i had to refuse the package not once BUT TWICE, before they started to send it back.

The Shipping-carrier (UPS) also attempted to charge me for toll for the package i refused to recieve, and they also had issues with contacting the company.

Some days after they stopped responding when i demanded a refund, i started a dispute in Paypal, weeks later Paypal now considered the dispute in my Favor. Note that it was Paypal who refunded me and not the Company.

Flee you fools!

The worst i have ever tried!
First, i bought a double pad for musicians. Not a toy but a real tool that i needed for my work. I ordered a very usefull pedal at the same time to complete the use of the pad. After a week without shipping track i sent a message to know what was going on! They respond without "dear customer" or "regards"... The basic polite words that i expected (and apply myself toward them) after i had paid $2219,97! They tell me that because of some problems they coudn't have done this before but they will do it soon! I wrote them 5 times in only one month! First they sent me the 2 pads (it was a miracle)... But the pedal ($189 +$29 for the shipping) was missing! I ordered the pedal by good-e-reader because i was ordering the pads at the same time but i saw later that the pedal is half the price (80€ so more than half indeed) on another site! As it was missing i tried to get a refund! They told me "not to worry, it was 100% on its way"... It wasn't as i sent an ultimate message to get news yesterday! I have AT LAST the refund for the pedal ($189)! But i paid for the shipping! Full of humor i told them that i would let them the shipping, that it was my present to them ! They had the cheek to make up an incredible story! They told me that i paid $200 shipping (which is actually $229) and THEM $495! Who would believe that? Seriously, flee for your mental health!

DO NOT ORDER FROM OR WORK WITH THIS…

DO NOT ORDER FROM OR WORK WITH THIS COMPANY!! I paid the extra $50 for expedited delivery and not only was the delivery delayed, but after asking for a refund as the delivery WOULD NOT be expedited, they shipped late anyway from Hong Kong!

Now I won't be at the original delivery address due to travels and this vendor WILL NOT change delivery address per FedEx policy. So, stuck with NO product and NO refund!

PLEASE stay away.

As this is a recent situation, if management can rectify asap with DECENT and normal service that would be appreciated. (Order Number: 254251)

Slow delivery, doesn't work, nothing to do :-(

Yes they delivered the item after some prodding. I emailed and asked if the item bluetooth worked the Boox page turn - they said it did. It does not. So a I waited a long time to get it and it didn't do what was promised. $100 down the drain :-(

Slow shipping

Really good and useful device. Shipping was slow and seemed to take an unusually long time to leave warehouse after their site said it shipped. Took a couple of emails to sort it out but in fairness they did.
