Unreliable service, evasive customer care, and retroactive T&C updates experience with Go Transfer Italy…
My experience with Go Transfer Italy (Ride #2502) was deeply frustrating, lacking in humanity or basic ethics and clearly designed to protect their financial bottom line.
They demonstrated complete unreliability, unhelpful customer care representatives and questionable administrative practices.
I had booked a long distance transfer from Puglia to Amalfi. After their originally assigned driver withdrew due to a mechanical vehicle failure two days before the journey, Go Transfer left my family in total limbo. Instead of securing alternative transport or offering a straightforward refund when they failed to deliver the service, they enforced an unreasonable policy keeping the booking active until just 30 minutes before departure, refusing to allow an early cancellation without penalty meaning we couldn't arrange alternative transport without potentially being out of pocket.
When I pressed customer support to point me to the exact clause in their Terms and Conditions that justified this 30-minute window specifically when they had breached the agreement by failing to provide the assigned driver, they flatly evaded the question and directed me to email their management to ask for the specific clause as I was unable to find any reference in their online T&C referencing this.
Management failed to respond beyond a generic confirmation that the refund was processed after they failed to locate a new driver 30 minutes before our travel time. They did not provide me the clause location I had asked for.
Interestingly, their T&C were updated today and now make reference to this 30 minute cancelation rule, though not in relation to their own failures.
Their policies are heavily stacked to protect themselves and not their customers when things go wrong at their end.
Holding family travel plans hostage until the final 30 minutes while hiding behind backdated policy revisions is entirely unacceptable.
Travelers rely on transparent, dependable transport service especially when navigating unfamiliar regions and GoTransfer let us down. Based on my experience of opaque rules, evasive communication, and potentially retroactive policy changes, I strongly advise others to look elsewhere for transfer services in Italy.
