Very polite driver - and helpful

Delivery driver delivered my parcel to my place of work on 2nd floor. I was worried all day as my previous delivery with GLS was left on the ground floor wedged behind the banister in a very busy building and could have been stolen. So Thankyou to the delivery driver today who did his job correctly, I appreciate you.

The driver left the package outside the gate on the public road for anyone to take. We were at home and all he had to do was ring the bell.

Package left outside front door.
Courier did not ring bell nor call me.
No consideration for security, for weather or good service.

They said they are going to deliver my parcel on friday. I was home all day. They said that they have tried to deliver but couldn't which was total lies. They have delivered on Monday afternoon then.

For people here reading poor reviews of GLS and seeing the company reply asking for tracking details as if they are going to look into it. Dont be fooled. They don't. Its all just lip service and deception to give the appearance they are engaging. In short, I wrote a review earlier this year regarding 2 missing packages never delivered. GLS replied in late July asking for details which I provided by email to them. I haven't heard anything from them since. 1 month has passed no follow up etc. Typical. As I said before they are a thundering disgrace of a company that clearly have little to no consequences for the thousands of packages never delivered as per all the views here let alone other platforms. For anyone interested I've posted my original trustpilot review below. Im sure they'll ask for details etc. Its all nonsense I'm reporting them to the CCPC at this stage they have to be made accountable for this complete disregard for peoples property.

Woeful experience with GLS. Two occassions this year, two pacakges never delivered with one listed as delivered and for the past 3 months the other is "still on its way to the final parcel destination" when i put the tracking number in. Their customer service is pointless with no ability to resolve their constant delivery issues. I pointed out that I never recieved a package but because their system said it was delivered this was thrown at me as an attempted defence. However, they couldnt provide any proof of delivery in the form of a photo and then eventually sent me a picture of a 'package' as proof of delivery with no surroundings visible or signature to prove receipt so essentially just sent me a picture of a non-descript package that could have been taken anywhere. I dont know having read all the similar reviews how they are in business and exist at this point. I dont know where all these missing pacakges end up but it has to be investigated. Awful awful disgraceful 'service' if you can call it that. What a disgrace of a company when you read their reviews

The worst delivery service I've ever used.
My parcel was marked as delivered but never arrived, and their driver forged my signature. The driver has a hidden number for no reason, and they said it's my phone settings issue! After 3 weeks of constant excuses, they said they couldn't locate my parcel. Customer service responds once a week with no solid solutions. Great service if you want to waste your time and never see the parcel.
