Just wanted to say... Day one was a success!! . Rained all day on and off and I had to walk to quite a few venues and get a few buses today. I thought it would take me ages to get the hang of it.. But no... Easy peasy! Got it rolled up and in the case in no time......I think about 7 times today. I didn't really notice the extra weight at all. I am very happy. There was no wind today so I've still to see how that goes. But I am delighted. I love that you've thought of everything. Attention to detail is fab. It does what it promises... And hopefully the carabiner clip means I won't lose it. Brolly for life! Well done. 🎉😁 Thank you for all your hard work. I wish you every success.

It hasn’t rained yet when I have been out so you will have to wait until I get the opportunity to use the umbrella.

Great idea for an everyday product and quality is very good and works as advertised.

Very different type of folding brolly , seems to work well and not get blown inside out . really like the handle which also doubles for storage of the brolly .

Good service. Currently in drought weather so not tried it with water but opens and closes at least as well as any.

I wanted a more sustainable, less messy umbrella that was robust in rain and wind. This product ticks most of the boxes but it’s challenging putting it into the handle container after using it, you really have to ensure the umbrella is tightly wound, so that it fits back in. This is messy when it’s wet with rain and you’re in a hurry or don’t want to get water elsewhere. Therefore, the premium for the uniqueness of it isn’t really worth it, in my opinion.
I also think the span of the umbrella could be a bit wider but overall coverage is good.

Had bit of hiccup on delivery which was down to the delivery company. But the Gilley umbrella is very good and functional.

Quick delivery ,well packaged ,excellent umbrella works well in both wind and rain easy to use very clever design especially handle becoming somewhere to put your dripping umbrella in would recommend and I'm very pleased with my purchase

This product came to my attention when I saw it on Dragons Den. I ordered mine from Amazon paying just over £33. A lot of money for an umbrella but I eagerly awaited rain which came this morning. As I left the house I connected the base to the umbrella then problem number 1 arose. The velcro has the strength of superglue and I was concerned I might rip the fabric.
Having done that I opened the umbrella and problem number 2 presented itself. It took 4 attempts to to secure the locking clip. It kept closing on me. Started walking and problem number 3 happened. My head was dry but the rest of me was getting soaked! Having arrived at work I was greeted with problem 5. It doesn't go back into the case unless you roll it really tight. At least I've now got soaking wet hands but I've done it, all be it on the third attempt. Thankfully it was dry on the way home and you can imagine my horror when I took it out of the case to find it's soaking wet with a puddle at the bottom of the case. I thought the whole point of this would be to dry the thing!

I'm loathe to write a bad review and I've read many positive reviews but this is not for me. I'm sending it back for a full refund and I'm reverting back to my trusty golfing umbrella.

Very light, easy to put up. Easy to put away in the tube once you get used to it. It needs to be tightly furled which takes practice. It is then easy to stow away. On a very windy day it blew inside out but snapped back in place in a sheltered corner so passes the wind test. I found it easy and comfortable to hold but my wife has small hands so did not use the outer shelf but instead held the stem.

A decent product that is worth the money. I think there are a few design tweaks that could make it perfect but overall I think its good. I like the sturdy handle and how it fits neatly in my bag and doesnt get everything wet. I do think when I pop it up the material feels a little flimsy and I sometimes struggle to get it to clip into place. If those things were resolved then I would give it 5* and also I would be willing to pay up to £50 for the perfect umbrella.

A while back I purchased Version 1 as a gift. When Version 2 came out I wanted to get one for myself. Super impressed with it.

Nice and classy umbrella. Value for money. Durable during strong winds. Would recommend everyone if this is in your budget.
