I feel compelled to leave a review as I had such a disappointing experience.

Firstly, the service simply does not reflect the premium prices charged. Throughout my appointment, my hairdresser repeatedly left me waiting while she attended to another client, making me feel like an afterthought. There was no relaxing head massage during the hair wash—a small detail, but one I would expect from a salon charging these prices. The atmosphere wasn’t welcoming either, with several members of staff appearing unfriendly and unapproachable.

I specifically asked for a natural blonde that blended with my existing colour. Instead, I left with an overly bleached, harsh blonde that looked nothing like what I had requested. What was most frustrating was that my hairdresser didn’t even come to check the colour after my hair had been washed. I had to go and find her myself, only to be told that I was wrong and that the colour was “lovely,” despite it being the complete opposite of what I had asked for.

To make matters worse, I was charged £85 for a very flat, uninspiring blow-dry, which was incredibly disappointing given the overall cost of the appointment.

In an attempt to rectify the colour, I booked a toner appointment. However, the salon cancelled on me twice. The second cancellation came when I was already on my way to the salon, showing a complete lack of respect for my time.

Overall, the service was poor, the result was not what I requested, and the customer care afterwards was even worse. For the prices charged, I expected a far higher standard of professionalism, attention to detail and customer service. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

I recently had the hydronic straightening treatment and paid over £540 for the treatment plus an extra £150 for a colour and cut elsewhere due to the resulting change in colour from the hydrolux treatment. Firstly the treatment was almost theee times the price compared to other salons. I was happy to pay this as I was looking forward to having a sleek result and the reviews were good. Definitely shop around if you want to try it but it is available much cheaper elsewhere including at shops in the same location - Baker Street, This was a total waste of money. It did not even last 4 and certainly did not leave my hair sleek as promoted. £700 for something that lasts 4 weeks is crazy. The salon also quotes you one price and then increase the prices at payment - morally very wrong.
When I complained, the manager is slow to respond and to be fair does not respond. I cannot make it in to the store and have sent multiple emails and photographs with a delayed and poor response. Do not waste your money and if you are keen to try it’s definitely available at half the price at other salons. Very disappinting for a high end salon from a product review and a customer service perspective

I have been a loyal client of this salon for many years and have visited numerous times, including whenever I am in London. This makes my recent experience extremely disappointing. Sadly, the standards and service I have experienced recently have declined significantly.
I went in for a hair treatment and the stylist decided on a Botox treatment and advised that my hair might go slightly lighter. I explained beforehand that I had highlights, had not coloured my hair for several months as I was transitioning my colour, and most importantly, I made it very clear that I did not want orange or brassy tones.
The stylist arrived late, and shortly afterwards her next client arrived, followed by a third client. With no assistance available, she was clearly rushed and under pressure, and unfortunately I felt the quality of my appointment suffered as a result.
When the treatment was finished, I was shocked to see that my hair had turned orange—the exact result I had said I wanted to avoid. I was told I could use a tint a couple of days later. After emailing the salon, an appointment was eventually arranged with a colourist. The manager was very reassuring and made promises that the situation would be resolved, but sadly this was not reflected in the final result.
I was advised that the tint would be safe after the treatment and was also recommended the salon’s shampoo and conditioner. Despite following the advice given and paying for the corrective tint, my hair is still in a very disappointing condition. The colour is uneven, and the treatment has left parts of my hair dry, frizzy and patchy.
In total, I spent over £720, as well as a considerable amount of time travelling to and from the salon and attending additional appointments to try to correct the issue. This also meant cancelling other commitments.
After many years as a client, and choosing to return to this salon whenever I am in London, I expected a much higher level of care and professionalism. Unfortunately, my hair looked far better before I entered the salon than it does now. I can no longer recommend this salon and will not be returning.

I went for a cut and blowdry as it had been almost a year since my last cut and my hair was visibly looking thinned out and neglected.

I booked with Anisa and it’s safe to say I trust her with my life. She’s a wonderful person with great skill. I wish we had taken before and after photos but when I went in I thought I would have to do a massive chop that I was absolutely dreading - I don’t know how she did it but my hair looked like it had barely anything cut off yet it looked so thick and nothing like it did before. I was growing out a balayage that I hadn’t touched up in a long time, and after she was done the colour looked bright and refreshed and along with the cut I thought it looked like the back of someone else’s head when she gave me the mirror!

She gave me such a lovely experience, I will definitely be back to book with her! Cannot recommend her enough

I would highly recommend both Tara and Laura. They are both lovely and excellent at what they do. They take the time to find out what you want and execute it exactly as you wish. Five stars for both!

I have never left a review in my life, but I feel compelled to after this experience because of the lasting impact it has had on my hair and how upset it has made me.

I visited Gielly Green in December as a one-off appointment while my usual hairdresser was away over Christmas. My appointment was with stylist Ondine, for which I paid £204. I simply wanted a trim. I was very clear with my stylist that I have naturally fine hair and had worked hard to build up thickness and length, so I specifically asked her not to go very short and my main aim is to make my hair look thicker not thinner. I am very low maintenance and not fussy, only real goal is not to thin my hair.
She repeatedly told me I didn’t have bad hair I just needed to trust her and she knew what my hair needed. I trusted her. I shouldn’t have.

I left with hair that was completely unbalanced, heavy at the top, but very thin, wispy and sparse through the lengths and ends. It looked like the weight and density had been deliberately removed from the bottom half of my hair. I have clear photographic evidence showing the difference before and after.

I gave explicit instructions that were ignored and came out with the opposite of what I asked for. When you pay premium prices at a high-end salon, you expect to be listened to or leave with a better haircut. What she did looks awful and so thin.

I subsequently had my hair assessed by my hairdresser at Trevor Sorbie, who was visibly surprised that anyone would use thinning shears on hair that was already fine.She said it was a very bad cut for my hair. I have been working on making my hair appear thicker for a very long time and all that work has gone after one cut and I have to start again. She encouraged me to make a complaint. I decided to do so and unfortunately the response is very disappointing.

When I did complain, the salon showed no interest in my experience or the damage caused. Their entire response focused on the fact that I hadn’t complained within their two-week window. using a technicality to avoid taking any responsibility, rather than actually engaging with my feedback. I would strongly caution anyone, particularly those with fine hair, before booking here.

Had a pre booked appointment with Alejandra at the four seasons branch. My requirements were clear and I had my price set out by the store in advance of my appointment. Alejandra kept me there all day for a colour and cut that usually takes 3 hours elsewhere. I realised that alongside the receptionist she was waiting for the store to be empty to try to get me to pay over £700. When I refused the receptionist became aggressive and demanded I pay. I refused and reminded both of them what my price was I agreed to when booking the appointment. My treatment had not changed. Observing Alejandra watched as the receptionist tried to haggle to down to £600, I refused and paid the amount I agreed at booking the appointment which was £430. I left there late in the evening, a rediculous amount of time to cut and colour anyone’s hair. Somethings not quite right with this salon and the strategic thinking on ripping people off.

A wonderful welcome and relaxed atmosphere. Jade, the colour queen, as always, produced exactly the result I wanted. She is knowledgeable, professional and a magician as are all the team at Gielly Green.

I go once a month with Lupe, she does an amazing job with colour, highlights, blow dry and everything! She's been doing my hair for almost two years now, her service is truly exceptional and she's a wonderful person. I highly recommend Lupe and Gielly Green!

I had a manicure and pedicure at Gielly Green in Marylebone with Kelly. I was seeing a lady at another salon in Central London and she had retired and it was quite challenging trying to find another person who would provide the same top-tier nail treatments. I was recommended to go to this salon and basically, Kelly did not fail me. She was so through and precise in her work and I would honestly recommend her to anyone who wants a meticulous manicure and pedicure. Thank you Kelly. 5 stars to you!

Best salon in London! Poppy does my colour and it is always amazing, everyone comments on it and Beryl cuts it, always immaculately. The staff are all friendly, lovely hair-washing experience too. An all-round luxury salon, highly recommend.

The wonderful Vaishali has been doing my brows/lash colour & shape for years. She works her magic every time & I always leave the salon feeling fabulous. She is also kind as well as being extremely talented.

Flavia at Gielly Green is an absolute star! She saved my hair color from a disaster in LA (a root touch-up that turned my hair completely black) and transformed it into the most beautiful, natural-looking balayage. I will definitely be coming back—she’s not only incredibly talented but also such a lovely person!

I have been going to Gielly Green and having my hair cut by Joseph for years. It is always a pleasure - the staff are friendly, the salon is clean bright and stylish and Joseph is an amazing hair dresser. I have never had a bad haircut!
