Die Autoren müssen von den Geschichten leben. Sie investieren Zeit, ihre Ideen und vieles mehr, um die Leser zu unterhalten.
Es ist fair, dass man dafür bezahlt.

Das Jahresabo ist günstiger als 2 Tageskarten im Spaßbad.

4 Sterne, weil die Fortsetzungen teilweise sehr lange brauchen, ehe sie veröffentlicht werden.

terrible and to say the least I wasted money. I went in and registered by entering my address and consequently the state in which I live, that is, Italy. Happy to have finally found the paper books that I had been looking for for years, I proceeded with the purchase even though I knew that they were in English because, having them in paper format, I would have been able to translate them with Google Translate since I do not speak perfect English. Only that at the time of purchase I discovered that the site does not ship to Italy even though shortly before, while I was entering my address and my data, nothing had warned me of this fact. Disappointed, I decided to opt for the purchase via e-book BELIEVING, since nowhere else is it written to the contrary, that they would send me the e-book via email and that it would be mine. Nothing could be more wrong. The only thing they send you is a link to access Galatea where you can read the purchased books but only in English, despite the application being set in Italian, without having the possibility of translating it in any way. so for all the people who are not american, english, german or french and who do not speak english well, buying galatea books is impossible or useless. and the only way to read it comfortably in your language is to pay an annual subscription of 50 euros (useless and exaggerated since i am only interested in 3 books and i can't even have them forever for myself) that i have to pay because the last book of the saga is only for subscribers. they make you pay (even a lot for the books) but then you can't do what you want with what you buy. the site consequently, for the category explained before, is useless and with zero information on the purchasing methods and on the purchased product.
Advice that i feel like giving.
The site should block or warn when you write the address that it does not ship to certain countries.
Since on galatea there is already the italian version of the book, it could sell the e-book directly in italian or at least since i bought the book give me the possibility to at least translate it. For example, Amazon e-books even without a subscription allow you to take screenshots and translate the books you buy because they are yours. In addition to this, the site should manage the information better and clearly state what you are going to buy. Sorry for the anger but I really cared a lot about these books and it really seems like a joke to me.

Inkitt, c’est le mirage de la publication “promise” jamais tenue, où tu luttes pour atteindre des chiffres de lecteurs absurdes… que seuls les scénarios les plus sordides ou ultra-sexualisés peuvent toucher. Leurs “maisons d’édition” ? Des coquilles vides.

Galatea, c’est le siphon à fric : lectures tronquées, chapitres qui se débloquent au compte-gouttes ou contre monnaie sonnante, abonnements annuels cachés, et une impossibilité chronique d’annuler ou se faire rembourser.

Ensemble, ils fonctionnent comme un entretien de torture financière pour lecteurs et auteurs naïfs, une machine à cash où l’espoir et la patience sont broyés par un système opaque, déloyal, et cynique.

Fuyez cette arnaque industrielle.
Ne lisez pas.
Ne payez pas.
Prévenez les autres.

Parce que laisser courir ce racket, c’est accepter que la littérature devienne un produit jetable, monnayé à prix d’or, au service d’algorithmes voraces et de promesses creuses.

The books I’ve read have an ok plot, but there are holes in them and the grammar is awful, which pulls me from the story. Also, the cost is more than what I would pay for other ebooks.

I am so disappointed I never heard of this app, but a co worker mentioned the app. She pulled it up for me and me not realizing that I hit the button for $70 plus dollars to be removed from my rent money. I canceled the account automatically, and they basically told me too bad. I hope the day will come to where we can sue the company, because I am stressed, and piss the F off. #karma #youreapwhatyousow

request a refund for your money. The only option was the cancelation of subscription. I have never in my 30 years of shopping online ever seen this policy from a company.. Would it leads me to believe is that they are scammers?
Hope you have better luck than I did. They have kept a full year subscription of my money when I canceled it 10 days after I startedd it.
I initially signed up may 2024 and it's March 2025. Still no refund.

I used to enjoy this app. I've had this app for years. They continue to change things making it difficult to navigate the app. They relock book chapters after you've unlocked them previously and tell you it's the system, customer service isn't helpful at all. The wait time to unlock chapters is too long and the coins needed to unlock chapters is too much. They've removed books from the library stating they don't don't rights to the book but don't compensate you for the coins you used to unlock chapters. They're trying to force people into purchasing a subscription to their app which is outrageously priced and the options aren't good either. I don't recommend this app to others.

Great app for casual reading. I haven't paid so I just wait 6 hours between chapters and can read three in a day. Not ideal but I'm enjoying everything I read. The first few chapters are usually free to get you into the book so you can an idea of whether it's worth continuing to read. Some books have a 15 hour or 20 hour wait between chapters but I just don't bother continuing to read those.

In my opinion, this app is a scam! I paid the $69.99 for unlimited access , the money was taken out of my bank account and I am not able to read anything, due to the app wanting more money.
My husband is a lawyer and I've asked him to look into this. I love their books, so I'm hoping this can be resolved.

Money scam!! Don’t fall into their trap! They will cut you off at some point and tell you; you can’t read anymore without purchasing their unlimited subscription! I was on second book of a series, I would wait the 6 hours for next chapter or use my points- halfway through second book I can no longer read anything without giving them money! I refuse to play into their shady money scam. Half the content is junk.

I like the stories and purchased coins and now turns out I cannot read the books because the pop-up blocks and I need to buy an annual subscription.

Who tells me it will work then?

I wish I would have read the reviews first , it was saying £4.09 a month so I though I will gie it a try and after one month I can cancel. Well to my surprise this morning I saw they actually charged my for the whole year £48.99 … I was in shocked … I mean why would ypu put £4.09 a month and take the money for the whole year….

Bis jetzt mag ich die Geschichten, aber die Wartezeit bis zum nächsten Kapitel ist zu lang und ich bin nicht bereit ein Jahresabo abzuschließen, würde es Monatsabos geben, wäre ich bereit eins abzuschließen aber so ist mir das Risiko zu hoch.

I’ll put aside the fact that you need to pay a lot for a subscription, and that if you don’t pay you need to wait a long time until you can read the next episode (the time depends on the chapter). But the stories there are just not that good. I tried three different stories and I kept waiting for them to become good at some point, but they are not. I would describe them as mostly childish, more for teenagers vibe. Interesting but childish, for my opinion, NOT worth it.

Es handelt sich hier um eine unseriöse Firma, bei der die Praktiken an Betrug grenzen, und das aus mehreren Gründen:

Der Anbieter schafft bewusst keine Klarheit über die Kosten. Ehe man sich versieht, hat man ein teures Abo abgeschlossen, das sich nicht einfach kündigen lässt.

Ich habe mittlerweile 120 € für ein Jahresabo bezahlt und jetzt wurden zusätzlich 25 € monatlich abgebucht. Der Anbieter gibt keinerlei Klarheit über diese Preisstruktur, und ich finde nirgends Informationen dazu.

Eine Kündigung war mir bisher nicht möglich, da es in meinem Account keinerlei Option zur Kündigung gibt, und darauf wird auch nicht hingewiesen. Alles wird absichtlich umständlich gestaltet.

Ich befinde mich derzeit im Gespräch mit meinem Anwalt und werde Galatea wegen Betrugs abmahnen.

An Plumpheit kaum zu überbieten!! Die Geschichten sind schlecht geschrieben oder übersetzt! Die Charaktere flach und ohne jeden Charme. Die Hörbücher scheinen von einer KI eingelesen zu werden… schlechter kann man es kaum machen!!!
