I use to get my book covers within a few days of the order. But last two book covers, with small modifications requested, have taken weeks not days. Also, the collection/options for the male images on the covers seem to not be as on point as previously. I still will be using getcovers for my book covers due to your pricing and your pleasant interactions--I'll just plan for more time taken and may go to a more creative type of cover than I've used prior.

They have been able to keep delivery timelines, with decent quality products as well, at fair prices.

At their request, I created and submitted a detailed reference cover so the designer could clearly understand the layout and concept I wanted.

The first design they returned was essentially the exact same cover I had already created and sent to them. It was simply sent back to me with the date misspelled, rather than being an original design.

The second design they sent was completely wrong and looked more like a romance novel cover, which had nothing to do with the theme or genre of my book. That design also contained misspellings.

Communication was also slow. It took quite a while to hear back from them. When they finally responded, they said the designer would get right on the project. A full week passed with no update. When I contacted them again and explained that my novel was scheduled to be released very soon, I received another email stating that the designer assigned to my project was out sick and on leave.

At that point I canceled the project and requested a refund. Their website advertises a 100% money-back guarantee, and I was told the refund would be processed within 2–5 days. When the refund did not arrive, I had to involve PayPal to recover my money.

As part of the PayPal case, I submitted the original cover I sent them, the two covers they returned to me showing the misspellings, and the full email correspondence as proof of what had happened.

Because of the poor quality of the work, the errors on the designs, the delays, and the failure to honor their refund promise without PayPal involvement, I cannot recommend this company. In my experience, the advertised 100% money-back guarantee was not honored until PayPal became involved.

All documentation, including the original cover I submitted, the two covers they returned, their advertised guarantee, and the full email correspondence, was provided to PayPal as evidence. If the company wishes to dispute anything in this review, I am prepared to provide the same documentation and correspondence as proof.

Update: The company responded on March 16 asking me to provide my order details so they could review the situation. I sent them the requested information, but I have not received any follow-up since then.

At this point, it feels like a standard response was posted publicly, but no real effort has been made to resolve the issue after I complied with their request. I am still waiting for a response and a proper resolution.

The most value for money that you will find. You may need to go back a few times for revisions but if you are prepared for that, and to be clear about what you want, you won't find better than GetCovers for cover design.

I had a great experience working with the Get Covers team on my fantasy romance cover. They were very responsive throughout the process and easy to communicate with when I requested revisions. Even when I described changes in a general way, they seemed to immediately understand what I meant and adjusted the design accordingly. It helps if you come in with a clear vision for your cover, because they are very good at translating that idea into a finished design. I’m very happy with the final result and would happily work with them again for future books.

I had significant initial problems with this task (not a quality result, not timely, and not on budget) and originally wrote a very critical 2 star review. To their credit, GetCovers responded and offered to make it right, which they did. The product I just received is much better and within my vision for the project. If this had been my initial product I would have given 5 stars. I've used them on 6 other covers and have been pleased. This one may just be an outlier.
