Shambolic logistics, broken promises, and defensive customer service

I ordered an item on Wednesday at 2:31 PM—one minute past their advertised 2:30 PM cut-off. While the live chat agent (Paul) couldn't push it through for Thursday, he explicitly promised it would be dispatched Thursday for Friday delivery.

​Friday arrived, and DPD tracking showed they hadn't even been handed the parcel. It didn't arrive until later. To make matters worse, I never even received an order confirmation email despite requests.

​When I raised this with customer service, I received a defensive email from Mitch who completely missed the point. He argued about the Wednesday cut-off, totally ignoring the fact that they failed to ship it on Thursday as promised.

More alarmingly, Mitch stated their couriers leave by 2:00 PM. If your couriers leave at 2:00 PM, advertising a 2:30 PM cut-off time is a structural impossibility and completely misleading to customers.

​The lack of accountability and basic reading comprehension from their support team is shocking. If you expect reliable delivery timelines or a company that takes ownership of its mistakes, look elsewhere.

Wish I had read all the other reviews before ordering, I would of gone elsewhere is the first place!

Terrible service!

Terrible service!
They use DPD for delivery, Usless company.
Twice DPD failed to deliver, was next delivery then tracking cancelled and no attempt to deliver was made.
Meant to be next day delivery, nearly a week later not received.
Good products . awful service!

Title: Extremely poor support experience despite eventual refund

Review:
My experience with Genpower/Hyundai Power Products was extremely disappointing from start to finish. What should have been a straightforward warranty issue turned into weeks of delays, conflicting information, and long periods of complete silence. I had to repeatedly chase updates across multiple ticket numbers just to get basic communication. There was no proactive support, no urgency, and no ownership of the problem at any stage.

Although the refund was eventually processed, it only happened after persistent follow‑up on my part. The overall handling of the issue fell far below acceptable standards, and I cannot rate the support experience as anything other than poor.

Do not recommend

Do not recommend. Avoid!

Short story. New compressor broke down after a couple of weeks. Of course warranty do not cover it how obvious it is. They claim it's dust and full tank of oil but I never touched the oil as compressor was new. I go to the court after Christmas for full refund and for cover cost of renting another compressor..
These days You will always be blaimed because they want to make money on You. Warranty never work.

Do not recommend. Avoid!

Terrible Aftersales Service

The generator arrived damaged. Genpower stated that damage had occurred after leaving their warehouse and therefore out of their control (despite box being undamaged). First attempt at collection failed as courier didn’t turn up. After a lot of arguments Genpower agreed that I could return the item via DHL and that they would issue a refund on receipt of proof of shipping. Three days after providing proof of shipping they said they wouldn’t issue a refund until they received the damaged item. By this time I could see that DHL had delivered the item. I am unable to contact Ryan Steer (the aftersales manager, who promised the refund on receipt of proof of shipping). Still no refund.

Purchased a used electric tiller that was not as described

Purchased a used electric tiller from Genpower who advertise that they are the uk Hyundai main importer. that was said to have been cleaned and fully tested by the outlet before being re sold, however on arrival the machine was covered in soil, scratched with chips in the blades, and the pin that allows the wheels to swivel was stuck solid and needed mole grips and WD 40 to release it.
I did not expect a new machine, but this would have been more at home being sold at a boot sale rather than from the National Hyundai outlet “gen power”.
It had not been cleaned and examined, ( how do you examine something covered in mud). And the seized pin proves that the swivel mechanism had not been tested, so I decided to check the oil level, guess what only about 3/4 full. Not what I expected from such a well known brand.

1. The very first time:
• The grass was not that tall and the lawnmower was not cutting off
• Went twice over the grass – from left to right & vice versa still the grass was not cut and did two strips
• The height adjustment was lowered one notch
• Went over the same strips again then move to the third strip where there was a tree root
• The blade hit the root & the engine stopped
• I increased the height and carried on
• The blade was not working properly and was going in circles & the grass was mulching and ripped out of the lawn
• The blade dropped and went into the grass
• Stopped as the damage to both the lawn & the mower were obvious
2. The Lawn:
• Medium size - Not 100% level i.e. ditches and patches
• There are trees on the sides – some roots can be seen
• Bark & small pebbles
• Green Thumb maintain & look after the lawn and ensure it is green all year round
3. The old Lawnmower:
• Sovereign 375
• Acquired circa 8 year ago and used on the same lawn referred to in point 3 above
• Yearly serviced on site
• Still working in good order but a bit heavy for my wife to push & does not have a start push button
4. Complained:
• Goods were mis-sold
• When you Google a lawn mower that can handle uneven grounds, the machine pops up
• Tree root was not high from the ground
• Possible fault in the machine
• Possible damage while in transit/delivery
5. Hyundai Support:
• Refused to acknowledge or discuss the above
• Offered to collect the machine (at my cost) repair it (at my cost) and the expected repair cost to exceed the purchase price.
• No consideration, compensation or offer from neither the supplier nor the manufacturer.
6. Summary:
• They claim the best machine & best customer support unfortunately I have been let down big time.
