Charged after cancelling

We used Gemiini for a short time in 2021 and had no issues. They sent through several free trial offers in August 2024 and we gave it another go. Ultimately we didn't find it useful so went through and cancelled, receiving an email from "Brad Brower" stating "if we do not hear from you before the next billing date we will cancel the subscription to avoid any further charges". They charged us anyway, do not respond via email and never answer the phone. Avoid.
Update: They have reached out via email to apologise for the mistake and said a refund is pending.

We cancelled within the trial but they still charged us

We tried to cancel within the 7 day trial because our son wasn't finding it very engaging, we were told it would take 1 business day for the online cancellation to be finalised, we were thankful we cancelled at day 5. They then changed our credit card for the first month. Two weeks ago we sent in a complaint and we still haven't heard back

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

This company charged my credit card even though I cancelled the subscription one day before the end of my subscription. The system tells you they will send you a confirmation and I received nothing. The next day, I cancelled it again and I received the same message.

I called and no one picked up. I sent them an email asking for the confirmation and received nothing. I sent another email and no response until after they charged my card that they would respond to my ticket within 2 business days. Still to date, no response.

I'm sending the alarm to everyone I know and publicly that this is out of integrity. I'm not happy with this company and their practices at ALL.

I disputed this charge with my credit card company and will file a report on BBB.

Companies are supposed to operate from pure ethical standards of care, love, and service. When serving others, do the right thing. It is an injustice to steal money from people and take what is NOT yours. They charged my card and many others have gone through this.

Look for better alternatives. No one should have to go through this.

So supportive and very friendly

I just signed up to the platform, and a representative called me to introduce the program and was very supportive. She listened to my experience with my son who is non-verbal and was very helpful with suggestions and offered to continually support me at any stage. I'm so excited to start using Gemiini and begin my journey.

It's always easy to book time to speak to a coach. I've been speaking to the same coach for almost a year and she's fantastic with giving advice about next steps and sending follow up emails with notes!

Ms Janette listened to what i was saying and was able to give valid recommendations and suggestions on how we can work with my child. She was not overly forceful that i should re-subscribe to the programme, which i like. She indicated what the programme has to offer and how it can be beneficial.

A good premise and platform with REALLY SKETCHY billing practices

During Covid when my son (with Down's Syndrome) was only receiving telehealth speech services I decided to take the plunge and try Geminii for a year with a coupon through blue365. I want to first recognize that the basic services aren't bad and everything was structured in a way that my son knew what to do. My teenage son, however, did tend to see it as a chore and I had to leverage his xbox time on the condition he'd fulfill his "geminii time".... Still not bad.
Now for the bad... and this is where things can get REALLY BAD and why I'm dropping a one star review (which is a shame a company with seemingly solid intentions suddenly goes this dark). If there are any parents who don't have gobs of spare income to throw around PLEASE PLEASE be advised of the following: two years after my year had passed I noticed that a credit card I no longer used suddenly had a $400 balance. I pulled out my statement to discover that I was still being deducted for Geminii two years later!! We hadn't so much as logged-in let alone gone to the website in that time. $400 is a tall order for automatic draft and strikes me as incredibly sketchy in the fact I wasn't given any heads up or warning via email or phone. I can't help but wonder what percentage of revenue is obtained via fleecing from families with inactive accounts by way of highly discrete renewals (and a reminder that this is from families trying to improve the communication of their children). At this point my son hadn't touched the service in two years and I'm forced to pay for it. When I reached out to the company they refused any refund.

According to our Terms of Service, specifically Section 5 on Subscription and Payment, our subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled by the user. This ensures uninterrupted access to our services, which many of our clients rely on for continuous therapy.

We provide customers the option to cancel subscriptions by logging into their account or by contacting our customer support team directly. This ensures that customers who are not using the platform can avoid unexpected charges.

While we understand your frustration, especially in light of not using the service, our policy does not allow for refunds once a subscription has renewed. We do this to maintain fairness and consistency for all our users. However, we are more than willing to assist you in canceling the subscription moving forward and address any further concerns you may have.

FRAUD!!!!

Do not fall for this! Don't be tempted to sign up for their trial periods. You will think that you canceled after clicking "Cancel" on your account but it never truly cancels. They'll keep charging you monthly covertly without an email to notify you of such billing. Parents beware!

We did not find the videos useful yet being covertly billed month to month is very annoying

So much progress already!

My son is 3 and non verbal. Since starting gemiini a couple months ago, he has started verbally communicating. He is working on enunciation, and he is using more visual communication. He points and leads rather that shouting or fussing. He has less severe and less frequent meltdowns as these videos are showing him ways to get his message across. It has helped my son SO much in just a couple months. I am still navigating the page and learning how to take full advantage of the program. My coaches are a great help too. A huge added bonus is being able to pay for the program subscription with my hsa card. My son has been diagnosed with autism. I'm not sure if hsa will pay for the program for everyone or if the subscriber has to have a diagnosis. Anyhow, great program, my son loves the videos and the tests are his favorite.

Gemiini has been a wonderful help for our child's speech development. It's been an amazing journey so far. The program is fun and easy for kids to use, and we've seen fantastic progress. Our child's vocabulary has grown, and they're more confident in talking with others.

What's really special about Gemiini is their support. They're always there to assist and answer our questions. If you're looking for a great way to help your child improve their speech, we highly recommend Gemiini. My sister is using Gemiini and WOW what a difference in her communication since she started. She actually comes when you call her name now, and she can identify and SPEAK so many things. She seems a lot less stressed because she can understand us, and we can understand her.
