After several pushy salesman phone calls from others all preaching, they have 5 star reviews, and all offering the same solar/battery setup, I opted to invite Dan for a quote, he was very informative and give me several options, explain all the pros and cons, eventually we went for 16 panels and a Tesla battery (I even got a rebate from Tesla)

On the day of fitting, 3 lads turned up, again very professional, half the time I didn’t know they were there, they just got on with the job, and fitted the wiring where I needed it so I can box it all in out of sight, they tidied up as they went along at the end of the Install, they spent time explaining how everything worked, in simple terms, then off they went.

Aftercare support has been second to none, any I’ve managed to reduce my electric bill by £90 a month, before I even start selling back to the grid.

Overall if you are looking for Solar or even advice, I would highly recommend GB Solar.

We bought a new build house in October, which not being connected to gas has a heat pump fitted. Over the winter months I was shocked to see how much electricity the heat pump used, and as electricity costs 4 times more than gas, our bills were astronomical!
Time to get solar, but where to go? I got some estimates from Octopus energy, but was unsure if they are subcontracting the work out, and if they have a good reputation. A friend at work had recently had solar panels fitted by GB Solar, and was very positive about them.
I emailed on a Sunday night, and Monday morning Steve from GB Solar called to discuss my requirements. Within a few days Steve came to our house and spent a good couple of hours discussing our energy usage and his recommendations. As our usage is so high, we went for 24 panels and 3 Tesla Powerwall batteries. GB Solar handled all the paperwork with national grid so we could export excess energy and thus reduce our bills further.
A few weeks later, after we had everything ready the GB Solar team arrived to fit our system. The guys were exceptional, every aspect of our installation was explained to us. The attention to detail these guys go to is above and beyond, they made no mess, cleaned up after every day, you would not know they had been!
Once everything was installed the team walked us through how it all works, any questions we had were answered.
A couple of days after the installation, Steve called to check how it was all going, what great service! All the paperwork, user manuals, grid connection letters and warranty certificates were emailed swiftly. All I needed to do was contact my energy supplier to get an export tariff.
The whole process start to finish was extremely smooth, handled with professionalism, upmost care and respect for our home. I could not recommend GB Solar highly enough!

I recently had GB Solar install 22 panels, a Tesla Gateway and Powerwall, and I have been really pleased with the whole process.

Before choosing GB Solar, I spoke to several suppliers and spent a lot of time researching panels, batteries and different system options. The discussions I had with Steve were very helpful. He clearly explained his thinking, gave practical advice, and helped me understand why the proposed package was right for my property. After comparing the options, I found GB Solar’s package to be the best value.

The installation itself was excellent. The team agreed the positioning of the equipment with me before carrying out the work, and the workmanship was very good throughout. They also did a great job of keeping the cabling discreet, which I really appreciated.

So far, the system has performed better than I expected. In April, it generated over 1.2MW, with around 75% being exported back to the grid. It has worked so well that I am now planning to move from my V6 to an electric vehicle.

One of the biggest benefits has been the resilience it gives my home. During a recent power cut, the whole village was without power for around three hours, but my house continued running as normal.

Overall, I would happily recommend GB Solar. Good advice, good value, a neat installation, and a system that is already delivering more than I expected.

We shopped around and had quotes from a number of companies. What made GB Solar stand out from the others was how well informed they were, how they listened to what we wanted, answered our questions and the advice they gave. Unlike some of the other companies they weren't pushy at all and the pricing was great.

Great experience from start to finish. Have done everything they said they would and on time. Really good communication throughout with both the sales team and administration. The system itself a powerwall 3 with an extra battery total storage 27kw and solar panels is performing better than estimated. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone interested in solar power.

After meeting with Steve from GB energy I was very happy with the system and cost so went ahead with the installation. The installation from start to finish was very professional . The lads that did the installation were very clean with the work and helpful with any questions I had . If I decide to add on to my system later down the line I wouldn't hesitate to have this company back .

From the first contact everything was explained clearly and simply, questions answered clearly. The work was done promptly as promised and all willing to go the extra mile to make sure all was well. Everyone always at the end of the phone if needed. Couldn’t ask for more.

Really impressed with GB Solar. I had 9 solar panels, a battery and an EV charger installed. The electricians and roofers were really professional and had completed the work in two days. It is a really well run business who have a great eye for detail and discuss with you as to where you want the installation going. The customer service is fantastic and the team get back to you with queries promptly and the sales team aren’t pushy like a lot of other solar companies I had received quotes from. I can’t recommend this company enough.

I have recently had GB Solar for the installation of a Tesla solar and battery storage system. Along with a Zappi car charger. All this has been organised by Steve Brown who from start to finish has been excellent to deal with. There has been NO hard sell or pressure in any way. Steve made multiple visits suggesting different ideas to me make the most out of the system. Ultimately having more Panels on the main roof which made it cost effective.
On every visit Steve was on time and I feel he had my best interests at heart.
We had an issue with the scaffolding company. Two bars were banging together in the wind. One phone call to Steve and a guy came out and sorted it very quickly.
The guys who fitted the system were polite and friendly, passing on their knowledge and it was never to much trouble to ask a question or two or three etc. They worked through pretty atrocious weather without a complaint.
I am now considering a third additional Tesla battery ( it’s the most you can have) even though Steve doesn’t think it necessary. I also feel that there is backup if you have questions or concerns after everything has been fitted.
Now this is up and working I am updating my heating system and are using Warm GB to have an air source heat pump fitted.

Most people rush to write a review as soon as their solar system is installed, but I wanted to wait and give a realistic, long-term assessment.

When we decided to explore having a solar and battery system fitted, we spoke with around eight different companies. Some only offered online quotes, others sent sales reps — but only GB Solar sent an actual installer. The difference in knowledge, confidence, and genuine advice was like night and day.

While most quotes proposed between 14 and 16 panels, GB Solar immediately thought outside the box and designed a system with 25 panels and a nearly 10kW battery.
