GB Solar Ltd Omdömen

I have had solar panels, battery and EV charger all installed. The whole process was a breeze. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the team, if you have questions after, they get straight back to you. All paperwork was sent through promptly after install.
Highly recommend this company! If you want a professional job doing, use these guys!

When I first considered having solar panels I knew very little as to what was involved or whether it would work for me. I received several quotations of varying values and follow up phone calls. Not only was GB Solar one of the cheaper quotations but what stood out for me at the first contact was the emphasis put upon personal attention to detail and the emphasis on follow up service and help along the way. Steve visited my home and explained everything that would be involved in a straightforward and helpful manner.

The work was carried out efficiently, the staff were friendly and competent and overall the experience has been trouble free. Since the installation, Steve has been so helpful guiding me through the technical challenges of getting my smart meter installed, changing suppliers and getting me on the most competitive tariff. Not being very technical, this has been a real boon.

Overall, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending GB Solar for anyone considering the installation of solar panels. The follow up after installation is just as important as the installation and on this GB Solar excelled.

We recently had a full solar energy system installed by GB Solar Ltd., consisting of 22 solar panels, a Tesla Powerwall 3, a MyEnergi Zappi, and an Eddi.

From the very first interaction to post-installation support, the experience has been absolutely fantastic, and we couldn't be happier with our decision to go with GB Solar.

From the outset, the team was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and patient. They took the time to walk us through the entire process, ensuring we fully understood how everything would work. Steve, in particular, was outstanding in terms of client care. He was always available to answer my many questions, responding quickly and clearly. His willingness to go back and forth on details gave us complete confidence in the project.

Josh, as the Installations Director, was equally brilliant. Not only was he friendly and approachable, but his knowledge of the system was impressive. He helped resolve any queries we had, and his commitment to ensuring a smooth installation was evident throughout.

On installation day, the team was punctual, efficient, and extremely courteous. They worked with great attention to detail, making sure that everything was installed neatly and tidily. They were also very mindful of our preferences regarding the placement of cables and overall aesthetics, which we really appreciated.

Even post-installation, when a couple of minor issues arose, GB Solar Ltd. was quick to respond and resolve them without any hassle. Their aftercare and responsiveness have been just as impressive as their initial service, which really sets them apart.

Overall, we are absolutely delighted with our solar setup and the level of service we received. If you're considering solar energy, we wholeheartedly recommend GB Solar Ltd. They are professional, reliable, and genuinely care about delivering a top-notch service. A huge thank you to Steve, Josh, and the entire team for making this such a positive experience!

I am very pleased with the solar panels and battery that GBSolar have installed. My house has a complicated roof and is tricky to scaffold but Steve who came to do the initial survey was extremely helpful at explaining the various options. The team who did the installation were very quick and efficient and it was all up and running in less than a day and a half.
Now that the system has been running for a few weeks I am impressed with how easy it is to monitor. The after sales care has been great and Steve has checked in regularly to make sure that I am happy with how the system is working and he is always available if I have any questions.
I chose GBSolar because the initial survey and quote was competitive and reassuringly informative, there was no pressure to make a quick decision and the promised aftercare has been good.
I am now looking forward to the longer days of spring and summer when the panels will start generating even more power to the house and the battery.

Hi, my experience with GB Solar has been excellent from day one to completion. I found Steve to be an enjoyable first contact, trustworthy, dynamic and knowledgeable, yet not pushy. The installation team did a great professional job and I am looking forward to a future customer relationship with the company.
Price was very competitive and I am happy to have done business local, supporting the smaller independents.
If anyone wishes to contact me prior to contract, please don't hesitate to ring me via GB Solar Ltd.

We've had the panels installed by GB Solar for a few months now. Very happy with everything they did, Steve was a very helpful first point of contact and the whole team were very efficient and willing to help. I had other prices and GB Solar were very competitive. As far as I can tell the panels and battery are performing well (it's the depths of winter so roll on the long days!). I would have no hesitation in recommending this firm.

Excellent help and advice from start to finish, great to deal with a local business who obviously care. The purchase of a system is a significant expense and the details at first can seem quite daunting, all the GB Solar team made the whole process simple and easy to understand, also great communication before, during and after installation, I would thoroughly recommend this business. Now on to saving the planet!

I got in contact with GB Solar and received a personal visit from Steve in April 2024, by June I had a full solar system fitted with 9.5kw battery and fully bird proofed.
This week Jan 2nd 2025 I had a second 9.5kw battery installed to the system.
From start to finish the service has been outstanding they turned up on the dot everytime when they said they would, the installation team looked after my property with carpet covers and cleaned up after themselves, you really wouldn’t have known they’d been here.
Special thanks goes to the following people I had the pleasure of speaking to Steve, Charlie, Sam, Dan, and George some were office staff and others part of the installation team.
I thoroughly recommend this company for all your needs, and the solar system and battery’s are absolutely brilliant, best decision I’ve ever made was to have a solar system the second best decision was to have GB Solar ltd to supply and fit. Nick

Steve was really polite honest and explained everything to detail, answered all the questions we had, reassured us if there was issues they would be rectified.
Advised us where the best place was to have the battery pack. He also explained how the battery works with the solar panels.
I would definetly recommend him to anyone, we have even asked him questions after it was fitted and he answered them. If there was anything he didn’t know he went and found out.
Steve has also helped us with which tariffs are the best for us to help us save money and is constantly talking to us to make sure we are getting the best deals for our solar panels Steve also explains how the tariffs work and how we can save money now we have the battery pack. Also how and when we should be using the battery instead of pulling off the grid

We recently had a full system of Solar Panels, Battery and Water Heater fitted. The service from all the staff at GB Solar has been excellent. The installation went smoothly and we are now generating power..even in the UK in gloomy November. We are very satisfied and have recommended GB Solar to friends.

Now having solar power and battery is the best thing I’ve done in recent times GB Solar did a great job with the installation and it’s been working great until the other day when I had a problem so l contacted them and told them what the problem was with in no time they were on to it and sorted out the problem straight away now it’s working perfectly it’s good to know that they are there to help many thanks once again.

Had a great experience with Steve and team. From the initial planning, to installation, it all went according to plan. Thank you all 🙌

Advice on the best system to suit your needs, every property is different. Installation went easy, no mess. After service is brilliant, always on hand to give assistance. As for cost I couldn't find anyone cheaper, also highly recommended by a good friend.

We had solar panels, inverter and batteries installed by GB Solar, way back in April 2024. The delay in writing this review was caused by ill health. The complete installation was completed to an excellent standard within a couple of days and I have no regrets in choosing GB Solar to do the work. The on site guys were polite , tidy and very knowledgeable. Gareth, the owner of the company spent an age explaining everything to my wife and myself pre installation and there was no pressure to buy. Since install , Gareth has readily answered many queries which I have asked of him.
Many thanks to Gareth and staff for an excellent experience.

Great service, friendly and efficient, no hard sell.

Installation was very neat and tidy and the guys were clearly very well trained and experts in their field.

Highly recommend.

I originally rang and had a chat with Gareth. I was looking to install batteries as I already had panels. Gareth was helpful in answering my questions, with no pressure to buy. He then sent me information by email and was quick to reply to questions I sent him. I did get other quotes, but found them quite pushy to get a sale. Once I'd made my decision to buy from GB Solar Gareth visited to look at where to fit the battery. The two who came to do the fitting, Dan and Sam, were both polite, pleasant and hard working. I'd certainly recommend this company.

Having an ideal south facing roof I decided to investigate the possibility of installing solar panels and battery storage to reduce my energy bills. Knowing little about the technology I contacted a dozen or more companies to see what they offered. I was bombarded with emails and telephone calls offering free quotations, video consultations and appointments. Some sent quotations using a Google Earth image of the house without even contacting me to assess my requirements!

Right from the first telephone call, GB Solar stood out from the rest. Steve Brown took an interest in what I wanted to achieve and was very keen to come and survey the house personally. He explained how they could help, where all the equipment would be sited and prepared a couple of proposals based on my energy consumption. Only one other company came close in repect of the personal service but their proposal was inferior to that offered by GB Solar so there was no contest.

Once I placed the order I was kept fully informed when the installation would take place and it was commenced on the agreed date. The installation of the battery and inverter in the garage is extremely neat and tidy and still leaves plenty of room for the car! All the installation team were professional and the work was completed within 2 days. A slight issue with the wi-fi signal in the garage was resolved quickly with help from Josh.

I have been delighted with the installation from start to finish and would not hesitate to recommend GB Solar to anyone considering solar panels and/or battery storage. I have used practically no electricity (5 kWh) from the grid in the month since it was installed and am quite amazed by the energy it generates in a summer which has been the worst for sunshine I can ever remember! Not only am I using practically no electricity from the grid I am exporting all the surplus which will contribute towards my gas bill. The GivEnergy app controlling the system is superbly easy to use and provides a mine of information about how the energy is being used. I am very pleased to award 5 stars to GB Solar for a faultless transaction.

First met Steve Brown to find out whether solar panels would be useful onFarnsfield village centre.after a visit to site we received a detailed quote for the work, there were special considerations such as the village centre being in a conservation area .With Steve’s expert knowledge we were able to navigate the relevant regulations,Steve was reliable and respectful while completing all work on time and in budget.would highly recommend GB solar.

Recently widowed, I was able to do what I had always wanted and have solar panels. It makes ecological and financial sense. A friend recommended GB Solar as he was confident the company would give me the assistance I required. How great it is to deal with a local company! Everyone has been so helpful and supportive, everything is clearly explained. I know they are always there if I need any further help.

Right from the first phone call I realised that GB Solar was the company I would be using, Gareth really engaged me in the process and he definitely new is product.
After a site visit and discussing the project his guys turned up and did a fantastic installation, Dan the head installation engineer went through with me where he was going to install and did a great job.
System is working brilliantly and is far surpassing our expectations.
