Tasty plentiful kefir👍. The milk kefir starter culture arrived…
The milk kefir starter culture arrived well packaged and in timely fashion - And has boosted my pre-existing tired culture, which has been going for about 5 years, but recently has been flagging markedly, extremely well.
What's more, the kefir produced tastes the same as before - just love it on my home made muesli mix every morning!

8 x organic coconut milk kefir (fortnightly subscription) Way too high in fat
The review is for the product, not the company but no option available to do so.
The website (and on the bottle) says the daily amount is 100ml. However the fortnightly subscription is for 8 x 500ml bottles. This makes no sense, either that 4 litre amount would last 40 days or the daily amount is wrong. For 4 litres to last only a fortnight, consuming it daily you would need to consume 285 ml per day. I emailed and asked for clarification and was told “most people drink 250ml a day. Please start with 100ml as some people can find it really unsettles the stomach to begin with.”
I thought they meant that the probiotics could unsettled the stomach and as water kefir hasn't previously caused me any problems I tried 100ml a day for a several days at breakfast. I enjoyed it, then increased it a little for a couple of days to gradually increase the amount I was drinking. I started to lose my appetite and then felt very nauseous all the time which went on for a couple of days after ceasing to drink it. For me it is way too rich a formula and concerningly even 100ml a day of coconut kefir provides about 17.5g fat, for a woman that is a huge 88 percent of the rda which doesn’t leave a lot of space for any other healthy dietary fat. 250 ml would be about 130 percent of the rda of fat (20g a day NHS Live Well).
Taste and quality seem good but it is higher in fat than dairy pouring cream, too rich for daily consumption.
It is also almost impossible to get it to pour out of the bottle as the fat floats to the top and when chilled blocks the narrow neck. It can't be good to have to warm the whole bottle to emulsify it to get 100ml out and rechill the bottle several times over several days until it is all used.
Maybe it needs to be reformulated so it is on par with plant milks for drinks and cereals rather than tinned coconut milk.
*Thank you for the reply about milk. I meant the consistency of this type of milk. I do not use products filled with crap, ever. It is worth saying though that Tetra Pak milks can be clean too; I use The Bridge organic rice coconut milk which has spring water, rice, coconut milk, and seasalt.

In regards to the milk used. The liquid plant based milks you mention contain preservatives, emulsifiers and additives that not only kill the bacteria in your own microbiome, but also kill the kefir bacteria. We are not a fan of these products and you simply can not make kefir using them. We have to use a 100% pure coconut milk which in return is very high in fat and calories.
The fat causes us issues when bottled, this time of year it solidifies easily. We want to offer authentic coco kefir, untouched by anything but the good bacteria. Sure, we could add chemical emulsifiers to the product like they do with the versions you can buy in supermarkets. We already feel our bodies are bombarded with these chemicals in our foods which in return is destroying our health. We do not want to be any part of that.
Making your own coconut kefir avoids the bottle/shipping issues and we would strongly recommended doing so if you want to understand and drink real kefir :)
Plant milks off the shelf are a giant lie. They are often full of crap that is far from good for us. Just check that label yourself next time you pour that rubbish in your cereal :)

Hello. As we stated we are not the lab. We are simply one of many businesses that retail the microbiome kits. We have copied you into several emails where Neovos has stated the received a kit back where the customer did not fill out the contact details and request clarification. You have not replied to that. You just keep asking for results and refunds directly with us. We are happy to continue to get this resolved but you to contact them in regards to results. Leaving us 1 star reviews rather than speak to them seems a little strange I have to say!

Highly recommended
I have ordered items from Freshly Fermented on several occasions. These have included fermentation starters as well as organic tea, sugar and turmeric. Quality is always excellent and delivery has always been prompt. I was worried about my new kombucha scoby as I wasn't able to start it off straight away but the use by date was actually 2 years after the despatch date, so all is well. I have no hesitation in recommending Freshly Fermented.
