Found a job that I would never have considered and now I am glad I did. Brilliant service from start to finish.

Failed to follow process. Contacted line directly several times despite being advised not to. Poor candidate and offer management.

My recruiter was absolutely lovely and supportive. I felt very well-prepared for interview.

Didn't hear back from them - despite my follow-up/ good cv

No idea why I’ve got this so they’re clearly not on top of their systems...

The recruiter was very professional, yet really friendly and helpful.

Great for putting me forward for positions but absolutely no feedback and putting me forward for a position that I told them I wasn’t suited for response was they won’t get anybody for that spec lo and behold no feedback

Bare faced liars - called in for an 'interview' at their office with a client for a job I'd actually applied for and it was merely to get my name on their books.

Went in suited and booted - only to discover I was merely there to fill out their own registration forms, which could easily have been emailed over to complete and which cost an expensive train fare I wasn't reimbursed for by the DWP (they only do so for actual job interviews). This also caused me 'trust issues' with the DWP who thought I was making up interviews when the reality was it was the recruitment company's sleight-of-hand tactics.

Within days, still waiting for this job they were apparantly putting my name forward for, FPSG tried to get me to take the usual "temporary but will lead to permanent for the right candidate" lies all recruitment agencies tell people because they make their real money from temping, not permanent placements. I declined politely, saying I'd wait and see the result of the job I had actually applied for.

I got one more call from them about "waiting to hear back from the client, but in the meantime would I be interested in..." and that was the last I heard from them again.

A bit of research and I discovered "the highly experienced professional within the recruitment industry" was in reality a part time uni student doing it for pin money who knew about as much about the employment market as a public park pond duck.

I would be angry were it not for the fact this sort of behaviour is routine for recruitment agencies, who are little more than sales agents using bluff and bluster to con companies too lazy or stupid to do their own hiring with all the snake oil they can get them to swallow about the "solutions" they will provide - for a fat fee. But FPSG have burned their boats with me, and I will never trust them again.

Highly recommended. Helpful and friendly staff with good local knowledge.
