Predatory Warranty Practices – Avoid FluidFreeRide!
I am writing this to warn any prospective customers about FluidFreeRide’s predatory business practices and nonexistent customer support. I purchased a scooter for over $800, and it malfunctioned (Error 10/speedometer flashing) well within the warranty period.
I first reported this issue in July 2025. It is now March 2026. For nine months, I have been given the runaround. After months of "we are understaffed" and "transitioning to new management" excuses, they finally admitted the issue is a faulty dashboard and wiring—but they are refusing to honor the warranty.
Their excuse? Because the company was acquired by new ownership in April 2025, they claim they "bought the brand name" but not the "obligation" to honor warranties for previous customers. They are literally asking me to pay out of pocket to fix a defect that occurred while the product was guaranteed.
It is clear they value their "new brand image" more than the customers who built it. Do not give this company your money unless you are comfortable with your warranty becoming worthless the moment they decide to restructure. I have been unable to use my $800 investment for over 250 days. I'm still in shock

I purchased a scooter from FluidFreeRide in Sept/Oct 2024. Within 2 months, the tire broke. I reported it promptly, but since then the company has repeatedly told me they are “out of parts.” Now, nearly a year later, FluidFreeRide has sent me a message stating they have “no returns/refunds services” for purchases before April 2025 and are “not legally liable” for those sales due to new ownership.
Do not buy from this company
Do not buy from this company. Fraudulent. You get poor quality and their customer service is non existent. They say 1-2 business days. It have been over 3 months with no reply on an issue with brakes. These scooters cost to much for the headache of constantly trying to reach an employee.

I have been trying to Cancel an order from the second it was made on July 23. They didnt answer phones, email, voicemails for days. Reach out to me on 25th that they will check, but it was already sent out. Company is a scam and traps you. No cancel button, and they dont even answer you. I had to reach out again on the 28th cause they won't, and they are telling my to refuse order and I'm going to lose out on some money? Are you kidding me. If they literally answered the first day this would have been resolved. I responded the urgent they wanted and they still didnt answer for days. They stopped answering me entirely again.
poor customer service
ordered a part and quickly realized it was the wrong part. contact the company within the hour to cancel the order but didnt hear back for a few days with the reply that the item was shipped and the order couldn't be cancelled, the had plenty of time to rectify this mistake but chose not to.
Fraudulent and Unprofessional

Bankruptcy. No warranty service
My scooter is still under warranty. The shop doesn't answer me, but if you want to buy something, they will answer!
Charged wrong price, sent old tires, customer svc unresponsive
Ordered a set of new tires advertised to be 50% off for those who purchased a scooter from fluid. Invoice did not show discount so sent a customer svc request 10 minutes after placing order. Included my proof of purchase for a $2200 scooter in 2023. Asked not to fill order if discount can't be applied. Order filled and shipped anyway with no response on my service ticket. They even sent a "we haven't heard from you" message about my open ticket when they hadn't touched it.
Tires arrived in a paper bag all ripped up, clearly too small to pack the tires into. Checked the tire date and they were four years old. Put in a return request for my old and mispriced tires. No customer service response still. The company has had 2 weeks to reach out to me and respond to either open ticket and won't do it. Do not shop here.

Lifetime parts discount isn’t being honored
I purchased a scooter from Fluid Free Ride in 2022. I reached out in April 2025 because I needed some parts to do some basic maintenance and noticed that I wasn’t getting the lifetime discount on parts (when you purchase a scooter from FFR). I opened a support ticked and was advised that the company had been sold and they were not honoring the lifetime discount for customers that purchased their scooters from the ‘old’ owners. If I’m going to pay full price, I’m going to be spending my money elsewhere.
Still a solid company, good customer service.
I bought my scooter almost 1 year ago (Nami). Recently had a problem with one of the parts and contacted Fluidfreeride. The first response took a little time, but once they responded they were helpful and responsive and worked through the issue with me and sent me a new part under warranty, I only paid a small amount for shipping. I know they went through some reorganization recently and I appreciate that they stuck by me as a customer. I would happily continue to do business here.
Respectable Dealer
After reading all of the negative reviews, I have to wonder if these are just the hyper-extreme cases or they're all embellished to one degree or another because they're the polar-opposite of my experience.
Bought my Kaabo Mantis V2 back in August 2023. I've had mixed results with the scooter, took a lot of maintenance to keep it running, but I've heard that is how most Mantis and Mantis Pro models have gone in the past too, with the predecessor model that launched in 2019. Most of the time it was easy enough to find parts, but some of their spare parts are not well-enough labeled to know if you're buying the right thing, plus no one calls this thing the Mantis V2, so you have to assume you're buying the correct part.
Emails took about a day or so to get back to me, sometimes two, that's the loss of one star here because when it's a damaged part or something broke and you would like to know something, you'd expect a snappy response. Other than that, when I asked a question and provided the photos and detailed description of any issue I had, they were always very quick when it came to shipping certain parts.
Example:
I had a hub motor screw somehow get stripped or one of the threads broke off, can't remember/don't know how, and it wouldn't screw in properly anymore past a certain point. When I mentioned this to them via email, again two days to respond, but when they saw the pictures, I had a package overnighted to me that arrived the following morning and it was exactly what was needed to get back on the road.
I've had a more positive experience with FFR than what reads here. My only other gripe, and this is the main one I have aside from the slow response time, is that the documentation for their scooters on their support-side of things is woefully out of date or missing obvious things.
All-in-all, 4/5 experience over the almost two year period since buying the Mantis.

The google shop review is not accurate. Terrible customer support. This vendor advertises reburbished Nami scooters that are not reburbishd in any way. Mine arrived without necessary screws or wrenches.

One of the worst online retailers I have ever dealt with. I bought a $3,000 electric scooter (Kaabo) and needed a new rear motor. First, after disclosing the exact information on make, model, year, etc. they send me the wrong motor. Further, the hub was severely dented, making it obvious it was a used part.
After all but accusing me of trying to rip them off, I sent them photos showing that no, I am not going to send my burned out motor back for a refund, and as they could see, it's an entirely different part. Then after a few weeks delay, they send me the correct motor, but the built in wiring harness is about 18 inches too short. Also, the wiring is scraped and some wires bare, which tells me this is a used part. Rather than deal with these pack of incompetents, I will just take the loss and buy the correct motor from another company. Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY anything from Fluid Free Ride. They apparently hire idiots who don't even know their own product and will try to push off used parts as new. I am a consumer rights attorney and am considering bringing a legal action, and possibly a class action to address their sales of used parts as new.

I needed repairs on my Kaabo Wolf Warrior X in the Chicago area and FFR gave me information on where to take my scooter. Well, all of the information was wrong. It took back and forth emails for about a month until I finally found the correct information on where the exact location was for the place that FFR was recommending me to take my scooter to. I even brought it back to their attention that they had the wrong address, street name, and phone number. Well I had no way to get my scooter 45 minutes away in downtown Chicago. Then a couple of months later I had a different issue and I emailed FFR again hoping for a quick fix, and they suggested that I take it to the SAME PLACE, AND THEY STILL GAVE ME THE WRONG ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, ETC.!! I couldn't believe it. The real kicker is that even they keep a record of all of the back and forth emails that we went through. Look, not EVERYONE at FFR is doing a bad job, but MOST DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU, THEY JUST WANT A PAYCHECK. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING ANYTHING FROM FLUIDFREERIDE, UNLESS YOU HAPPEN TO LIVE A FEW MILES FROM ONE OF THEIR REPAIR SHOPS/STORES. Go ELSEWHERE!! So my scooter needed repair since my front motor wasn't working at all, i had them send me another motor which i replaced and my LT-01 broke while i was riding which i had another 20 miles to go before i got home, granted they sent me both the part so i installed it, but with no luck on the motor i must get it repaired, but the LT-01 display worked when i installed it. So i dropped it off and they got to working on it, so when i got the email saying its ready i didn't get any price since its still within the 1 year warranty, once i got there to pick it up i got blindsided by a 150$ bill now they explained why its because one of the shocks in front was bended which i didn't know that time but okay... But they also stated that they replaced the LT-01 display so I'm like i just replaced that but i dont wanna be an ass and complain so i took it in the jaw and kept it moving, now the problem was when i got home since it was night time i wanted to use the lights on it and it has RGB lighting on both sides, the problem was when i tried turning it on it never came on, so not only did i get charged for the repair but i also got a broken RGB lighting on my scooter.... So now i'm stuck with no RBG lights on the side and they are rendered useless, so not only did they break something but i got charged for it... Ever since i bought this scooter throughout months i have problems with it, from having to replace the tires and the inner tube but its all been bad luck, mind you i use this to travel with since i drop off cars in my turo business, it was out for at least 3 months which cost me uber rides, but also i paid for the scooter just to have it broken with something else... So now I'm here thinking maybe that's why its broken so i needed to come back to them to get it fix just for them to charge me when they break it, ok now i see pattern now my warranty is gone they will charge me to fix what they break... Well business gotta make their money some how but this was is just ridiculous. Overall for them sending stuff so i could fix will get them 2 stars from me, My advice don't shop with them, don't get it repaired since most likely they will break something just for you to return after a year so the warranty will be out and they will fill their pockets with money from faulty products. Fluidfreeride isn’t worth your time or…
Fluidfreeride isn’t worth your time or your money! I ordered my fluid vista and got the package with no handle bar screws. I understand everyone is human and mistakes happened so I called the company and told them the issue and they said they would overnight ship the screws to me so I can ride my scooter. Well here we are 4 days later and still haven’t gotten my screws. I have another friend that has the fluid vista so I borrowed his screws to put in mine to try out the scooter. Well let’s say this, they are very fast and fun but very short lived. I have 20 miles on my scooter and it’s already not broken. I rode up and down the road this morning and it shut off at %80 and still won’t turn on even when plugged in. They are completely junk! JUNK JUNK JUNK! HOW DO YOU PAY $1600 FOR A NON WORKING SCOOTER? I’ve tried reaching out several times and keep getting told they will get with me shortly. There is no effort to make this issue right
Save yourself the trouble and find another company.

Fluidfreeride is a crock of s***, They told me that I would be able to exchange my scooter for a new one do too falls and people getting hurt because of suspension problems. And at 1st they said they would exchange my scooter for a new one but should not be on a "time bassis". How can they not exchange on a recall my scooter?
