Just booked my second Flavours holiday to Sicily for next year. My first, in Tuscany earlier this year, was a real joy. I had been looking for a holiday that was truly an experience of the local area but focussed around cooking. I'd seen other holidays which seemed to offer a couple of days cooking and the remainder sight-seeing which didn't meet my expectations. When I found Flavours, it was just what I was looking for, and the holiday really met those expectations. The host, chef, and fellow travellers were amazing as was the location and facilities in the villa. I really can't wait for the Sicily trip!

Fabulous location right on the cliffs looking down over the sea. Beautiful pool (but not much shade around it) and rooms with their own private patios and space (where there was shade). The food was amazing (much of it sourced from the garden in the grounds). The chef Mina was brilliant and accommodated allergies/intolerances and dislikes with ease. The host was totally gorgeous and couldn't do enough for us. She flexed the itinerary for us to reflect weather and our requests and made everything run smoothly. Ruth, the pilates teacher, was very experienced and helpful. She dealt with the varying levels of experience very well, giving us easier or harder options depending on our needs. An absolute joy to do pilates twice a day. Ruth also acted as an extension of the host, going well beyond her Pilates responsiblities and being a welcome part of our little gang on our trips out and about. Met a great bunch of strong, wonderful women in my group. Wonderful to hear all their stories and life experiences. Holidays seem to attract older people

Been on five Flavours holidays and got two more booked. Always enjoyed them. Great accommodation, wonderful food and exciting excursions. And on top of all that you get to enjoy a favourite activity and to learn something. The people in the groups are very nice too and the tutors are fab. Highly recommend a Flavours trip. Everything taken care of. Just go and enjoy it.

Great Pilates holiday with Flavours in Sicily. Everything was taken care of by the hostess (Mihaela), cook (Massimo) and Pilates tutor (Anne). Couldn't have asked for 3 nicer people. The excursions were well organised and the Pilates tutor gave a lot of individual attention, whilst keeping the class on track as a whole. I plan to do a language holiday next year.....

The holiday exceeded my expectations; the accommodation was a delightful converted farmhouse complete with ancient olive trees and a swimming pool.
The cooking experience was fun and interesting as well as informative. We then ate at lunch time what we had prepared in the morning. There were a couple of trips out which were well organised and combined lovely meals and wine.

If you’re a single traveler like me you really can’t beat these holidays. This was my 5th holiday with Flavours. The villa in Tuscany was beautiful, our host Sara and Chef Frederico were excellent. We had a lovely mix of people (same on all my previous trips!). The villas tend to be quite remote but we had 4 trips out to local towns so it was a lovely mix. Our Pilates teacher was lovely and you don’t have to be an expert. You can take part or relax all day by the pool. We had a couple of small niggles but overall I had a great time.

I recently returned from an amazing cookery course in beautiful Tuscany. The villa was lovely with grits across the Tuscan valley, the host and cook were an amazing duo. Not only excellent at their jobs, but wonderful company and very much a part of our group. This holiday could not be beaten. Hope to see both our cook and host again in the future

I have just returned (unwillingly) from a pilates and cooking holiday in Sicily. This is my third holiday with Flavours, having been to Tuscany and Puglia on the same pilates and cooking holidays.

I have enjoyed the company and the trip organised to areas of interest during my holidays. Flavours staff, hostesses and personal chefs have always been excellent.

My friend and I were so looking forward to our holiday, cooking in Sicily this August. However, I have just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and will be in the middle of treatment when the holiday comes around. I rang flavours to ask if we could move the holiday to after my treatment - NO! We will have to go through travel insurance etc… This has caused me a great deal of stress, the second person I spoke to spoke over me and did not have good customer service. I had to ask her to let me finish what I was saying and by this time I was in tears. I was stressed that my friend would lose her money and couldn’t get my head around why I couldn’t just move the holiday. I understand that there has to be a policy but sometimes there should be exceptions. I wanted something to look forward to but now I doubt we’d book with Flavours ever again because their policy is the same for a broken leg or cancer. I feel discriminated against by the fact I have cancer and receiving treatment.

I enjoyed another lovely Flavours Pilates holiday in Seville this year (June 2024). I thought the Villa was charming and my room was fantastic, set in beautiful countryside with lovely hosts and wonderful food!
Special thanks to my Pilates instructor Rebecca who is quite brilliant. In truth my enthusiasm to do Pilates is greater than my natural talent! But despite this I never felt left behind and was gently encouraged by Rebecca to achieve beyond my expectations. But for me the real lasting memory from a Flavours holiday is the time spent, the conversations held and hopefully sharing a laugh or two with my fellow guests, who are from all different backgrounds and walks of life to me.

A recent Language holiday near Treviso was made special and enjoyable by excellent tuition from Irene, great organisation and attention to detail from host Antonella and delicious food and beautiful accommodation both courtesy of Vanessa. Venice was everything and more than I had imagined, and Treviso is a lovely town too. The visit to a local vineyard was both interesting and enjoyable thanks to the guide there. I would thoroughly recommend this experience and would like to convey thanks to all staff for their kindness and professionalism.

Recently returned from Pilates in Seville and another great holiday with Flavours. A fantastic mix of lovely people, great tutor (Rebecca), great hosts and a super balance of learning a new skill, excursions, relaxation and good food (what more could you want!). I have done a few of the flavours holidays - painting, taster, cooking and now pilates. I have had no prior experience with painting, photography, pilates and felt the sessions catered for a mix of levels including newbies like myself. Travelling alone can be daunting but the staff at flavours make it easy for you and it's lovely meeting new people from all walks of life and feeling well looked after by your group. It works for me and I would certainly recommend this lovely experience.

A really lovely holiday in Veneto near Treviso. We stayed in a beautiful and large villa set in lovely grounds (and with a pool) and the rooms were large and very well equipped with super comfy beds. I did the cookery course and loved every minute, we learnt loads of new dishes plus some typical of the area and it was as hands on as you wanted. All of the food we ate was delicious and our Chef and Host were brilliant. We went on a few trips including a vineyard and the market at Treviso both of which were brilliant fun but the highlight was Venice. All in all a great trip with some really lovely company and perfect for a solo adventure

I really enjoyed the holiday which was in a lovely villa set amid the most beautiful countryside. The villa itself was attractive and my bedroom was spacious and cool and the bed was comfortable so I slept really well every night. The garden was beautiful, being laid to lawn and sprinkled with lemon and olive trees. The large swimming pool had a 360° view of the spectacular surrounding rolling hillsides with shade being available under the large parasols provided.
However the best part of the holiday was the wonderful welcome, service and great company provided by our adorable hostess Livia. Livia was so friendly and attentive to our every need and entertained us with stories about the local history and general goings on in the area as well as guiding us very knowledgably on visits to places of interest.
Our cooking lessons were a delight and helped to bond our group of lovely ladies (and one gent) together. Pierluigi our teacher was an amazing chef who had owned his own restaurant in his earlier life and who planned our lessons so that they were always hands-on and incredibly interesting. We ate what we had produced for lunch each day and it was always delicious due to his fantastic teaching skill. Every evening we dined on superb food cooked by Pierluigi
All the above plus the fact that there was a never ending supply of prosecco, G & Ts, wine, soft drinks and snacks made this a very enjoyable and good value holiday.

Perfect in every way
A perect mix of cooking, down time and excursions. Stunning location with views across the Tuscan hills, great cooking facillities and comfortable rooms. Our host and chef made it a real home from home. Perfect.

I love these holidays because virtually all costs are included so you spend very little once on holiday; there’s the right mix of activities and relaxation and you simply don’t need to plan anything. We’ve done two cooking breaks now and they’ve been so enjoyable and the food is wonderful. I’m going for my third cooking break later this year. I may try Nordic Walking in the future.

It was my first Flavours' holiday and I chose painting in Tuscany in June. The company was recommended by a friend who'd raved about her experience the previous year so I thought I'd give it a go. I wasn't disappointed. As a small company, they are able to be pro-active, friendly and generally think of everything that customer might need.
The Tuscan villa was traditional and delightful to stay in, with lots of character. Our host could not have been more helpful and friendly. The chef served up tasty dishes and integrated people's dietary needs. I felt very spoilt that week. We didn't need to lift a finger which made me feel quite guilty!
The course tutor was very approachable, a really interesting guy, an experienced teacher who took time to talk to us about our work.
The visits to hilltop towns were particularly interesting to us as artists. I was lucky enough to go into several exhibitions in Volterra.
The villa is in the middle of the countryside with no village near by, though has stunning views. But the evening meal out in Quercetto showed us a slice of Italian life for a couple of hours.
I'd recommend a Flavours holiday, especially if you're holidaying on your own.

PILATES PUGLIA
Food was excellent thanks to our chef. You won’t go hungry thats for sure. Prosecco and wine flows nicely. Daily Pilates was very well organised to cater for all levels. Valentina the host was a joy. Nothing was to much trouble for her she went over and above to make sure everyone was happy. The group gelled well and we had lovely accommodation with very good air con which was a blessing as it was hot. The pool is salt water and kept clean along with the grounds by the gardener who can also throw his hand to cooking excellent pizza for us in the outside pizza oven. Location looks out over the sea with beautiful landscaped terraced gardens. Very relaxing holiday with a nice mix of outings versus down time at the villa to enjoy the pool and surrounding gardens. There are steps going down and up to some of the accommodation which could be a problem for someone with limited mobility.

A fantastic holiday with great company and an excellent host and chef. We could not have been better looked after with fantastic food and drink. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys cooking and good food.
