Quick service and good offer

It was my first experience with Flatio and I am very satisfied. Their replies and support where quick and accurate. In addition, the fact of not having to give a deposit and having an insurance was really helpful to decided for one of the flats advertised there.
The housing options they offer are good and my experience with the landlords was very good too.

Best customer service I have ever experienced.

Flatio gave us exemplary customer service when we ran into an issue with our rental. The agent I dealt with was extremely helpful, professional and remained in contact with us every day until the issue was resolved. I could not have asked for anything more from Flatio or the agent involved. I would not hesitate to recommend Flatio to my family and friends.

Flatio prioriterer utleiere over leietakere – vær forsiktig

Flatio fungerer mer som en beskytter av utleiere enn en nøytral plattform. Da jeg sa opp leiekontrakten direkte til utleier, ble det avvist fordi det ikke var gjort via Flatios system – til tross for at retningslinjene ikke spesifiserer at andre skriftlige oppsigelser er ugyldige.

Mariana fra kundeservice svarte raskt og var svært behjelpelig, men høyere opp i systemet fikk jeg kun vage og byråkratiske svar uten konkrete henvisninger til regelverk. Selv etter flere henvendelser klarte ingen å vise til en regel som ugyldiggjør oppsigelser utenfor plattformen.

Jeg ble heller ikke informert om at leiligheten hadde et Alertify-overvåkningssystem før etter innflytting. Skilt ved siden av enheten opplyser om måling av wifi, strøm, støy og antall personer i leiligheten – alt skjult bak sofaen.

Flatio sikrer primært utleiers interesser og har et rigid system som gjør det vanskelig for leietakere å få rettferdig behandling. Vær forberedt på motstand hvis du støter på problemer.

Safe

Flatio is a safe platform to look for places to stay. The instructions make the process very clear and easy. I think it should be more strict for hosts, because the pictures or descriptions didn't give me the impression of the whole place I booked. It should be more accurate. Besides that, it works pretty well.

very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Flatio. My case was closed too quickly, and my explanation was not properly considered. I was left feeling completely overlooked.

I invested time and effort preparing the house for the guest, and I believe I should have at least received some compensation. Instead, the decision unfairly favored a highly demanding guest who blamed the house for his allergies. The property was exactly as described in the listing—simple, rustic, and not a luxury accommodation. It was clearly not suitable for someone with such specific sensitivities, yet I was the one penalized.

Additionally, some of the complaints were simply unreasonable. Natural wear in an older home was misrepresented as serious defects, and even standard outdoor elements, such as mice in the garden, were exaggerated. I live in the house myself and have never encountered the supposed safety concerns he raised.

Ultimately, Flatio's handling of the situation was neither just nor balanced. As a result, I cannot recommend their platform and have decided to remove my account. I would advise future hosts to be cautious, as the platform prioritizes the guest’s word over fairness.

Based on the evidence, including the photos we received, we determined that the conditions of the property—such as mold and the presence of mice—posed potential health risks, making a comfortable stay impossible for the guest. From a hygiene perspective, such conditions are not acceptable in any rental property. Given these circumstances, we had to recognize the guest’s right to withdraw from the lease agreement.

We regret that this outcome did not meet your expectations, and we value your feedback. We strive to ensure fairness for both hosts and guests, and your insights will be taken into account as we continue to refine our processes.

Beautiful spacious flat on quiet street in excellent location

Well-equipped and clean flat with plenty of room, comfortable beds, and lovely decor. The flat is located in a hotel with very nice and helpful staff who speak English in addition to Czech. The location is excellent, with an easy walk to the beautiful square Náměstí Míru and lots of cafes, shops, and restaurants — and it is on a quiet street. The flat contact Jiří was wonderful — very responsive and helpful.

Unprofessional hobby group

It's not realistic for their customer service to be available until 12 o'clock. Also, it's very unprofessional to charge a card fee when paying rent.

Flatio was there for us at every step

Flatio was there for us at every step. We had issues with the foreign government's requirements for the lease, and they got us the required side-by-side translation at no extra cost. The monthly reminders of when our rent was due was extremely useful, because it wasn't due the 1st of the month. And most important, we found a great flat with a great landlord using Flatio.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. TL;DR: if you get cancelled on, you will not get a full refund, even though their policy states you should.
I booked an apartment and paid ahead, as I was required to do. The landlord canceled a month later. I was entitled to a full refund (as per their policy). They asked me for a bank account in Euros. I don't have one. So I was penalized for paying in another currency and having to assume the conversion fee – they would not transfer extra to ensure I received the full amount. I did not receive the full refund, even though I was not at fault and never got any service.
Unclear policy and unwilling to work with customer to make the situation right. Would never look at their site again – as that alone cost me money since I never got a service.

Our platform supports different currencies, but for this particular apartment, the host chose to list it in EUR. Consequently, all amounts shown, including your payment and any subsequent refund, were in EUR.

When you paid from your USD account, your bank or card provider converted USD to EUR at the then-current exchange rate and charged any applicable fees. These rates and fees are set by financial institutions and are not within Flatio’s control. We always ensure that when a host cancels a guest's reservation, the exact amount paid is refunded in the same currency as originally received. This is considered a full refund in the currency of the booking. Any differences in the amount received can occur due to exchange rates or fees applied by financial institutions during the refund process. In simple terms, what we have received from you, we will return to you.

We are truly sorry that your reservation was canceled, and we understand the frustration that can arise from currency conversion differences. We hope this explanation clarifies our refund procedures and confirms that we followed our policy correctly.
