With long wait times for a DNA test through the NHS, I used FitnessGenes. The process was simple, fast, and the reporting was clear. I discovered I carried just one copy of the risk variant, which was reassuring. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to know their HFE status, I will most certainly test my new daughter the same way.

Ive been with FitnessGenes for over 4 yrs now and the insights have really helped shape my health and fitness. I have regular blood checks and have found that the results are played out in the insights that the DNA have shown about me. The team in the office are always very very helpful and nothing is to much trouble. I highly recommend using FitnessGenes if you are serious about your health.

So far, total rip off. First of all our kits would not register so we had to contact support. After that was fixed they claim my sample was too much and I owed them $25 for a new kit after paying $300 for the kit and waiting 10 days after it was received to hear about this. Disappointing. I would skip this. Who knows if I will ever get results. They also have been sending me emails to the original address I used, NOT the address I registered the kit so I almost missed the sample issue.

Additionally, I found out I was charged the replacement fee in Euros so the amount was $9 more. They refunded $8 of it. Again, issue after issue.

Superb Communication and Helpfulness! I spoke with a real person, and they solved my problem. Quick responses and actionable information from my test results. The information from their test is extremely valuable and validates what I've learned through the years with trial and error. I wish I had done this test 20 years ago.

Highly recommend FitnessGenes, the kits are extremely easy to use and the team take the time to explain all of the results and what they mean to you. They give clear recommendations in relation to the results and sent me to 2 detailed reports, one with the full results and recommendations and the other containing information on the areas I said I was most interested in. Fantastic service, highly recommended.

It was good to know what my genetic strengths and weaknesses are, and the food I can eat to enhance strengths and compensate for weaknesses. I've rarely felt better in my life than after changing my diet after getting the results.

Best use of DNA. With a 23 and me account, you can upload your DNA and get amazing info and training programs. I have made tremendous progress after learning I had rare variants in endurance, lactate threshold , and metabolism. This encouraged me to train, faster, harder, and more frequently. I've gained lots of muscle and stayed below 10% bodyfat using fitness genes for 3 years.

Very unreliable for ongoing support after you have already paid.

Website experienced issues. Uphill battle for support.
Report issues, uphill battle.
Been going back and forth for 3 months.
We've exchanged at least 7 correspondences just based on things like zip files being corrupted, a supper email mentioning an attached file which turns out to be missing and other things that could be avoided with basic due diligence checks.

I received a broken zip file from their team, and they suggested I try a Mac or another computer before bothering to resend.

Whenever I finally get a custom service response I dread reading it because I know it won't be the end.

You'd best hope that you don't encounter any issues that require support.
