Ordered two bedside tables. I was a bit nervous as there was some previous negative reviews, however the tables arrived on time, they were very well packed and they look great,exactly the same as the picture so I'm very pleased.

Hi there,
Calling our photography deceptive cuts deep, so I want to address this directly. We work exclusively with real timber—solid oak, walnut, and natural wood—not printed veneers or plastic. That means every single piece carries its own unique graining, knots, and natural tones. We shoot our promotional photos in natural light to be as faithful as possible, but real wood will always vary from tree to tree and room to room.
When a piece arrives undamaged and structurally sound, but the natural character or shade of the timber just isn't to your taste, that is a change-of-mind return. Collecting and transporting heavy, solid wood furniture safely back across the UK using specialist couriers costs real money.
We charge a £50 return transport fee so we can keep our retail prices fair for everyone, rather than artificially inflating the price of our furniture to cover return shipping.
That said, we never want a customer feeling stonewalled. If you genuinely believe what you received goes beyond natural timber variation and constitutes an actual defect, drop me an email directly at stephen@fisheandlilly.com with your order number and photos. I’ll review them personally so we can double-check we haven't missed anything on our end.

Quality very disappointing

Spoke to various people in customer services - some useless but Stephen was excellent via email and sorted out a refund. The company makes out they are a small family run operation but this is not the case.

Getting solid furniture safely to your door is the baseline, so hearing that the quality missed the mark and that some of our phone comms felt unhelpful is something we take very seriously. I’m glad I was able to step in on email to get your refund sorted quickly for you without further runaround.
Where I do want to gently set the record straight is on our backstory: we really are a small, UK-based family business! My wife and I named the company after what we call each other, and we run things day-to-day out of our own office alongside a very small team. Hearing that it felt impersonal or corporate tells me we dropped the ball on customer care before I stepped in, and that’s on us to fix.
Thank you for your patience while we got the refund processed, and I’m sorry the Oslo tables let you down.

Walnut bedside cabinets
Ordered two bedside cabinets-very happy with the packaging, and also the design and colour of the cabinets, but sadly one was damaged. Customer service was great, and a replacement was promptly sorted out. Now they both look great in our newly decorated bedroom!

I recently purchased two bedside tables…
I recently purchased two bedside tables from here having never used them before. I asked AI to recommend bedside tables based on a refresh of my bedroom and the ones that were recommended were from Fishe and Lilly. I absolutely love them and they have a real quality look and feel to them and were great value for money. I only had to attach the legs which was easy. Will definitely be buying from here again.

Will take your money, not ship, then ignore you
Order placed 17th August for 48 hour delivery, to this day the DPD tracking link says with seller. Multiple contact attempts always result in 'we'll check and get back to you'.
At this point, just admit you don't have it/can't fulfill the order and give me my money back.
Ridiculous.

Straight up: waiting on a delivery while a tracking link sits frozen is infuriating, and being told "we'll check and get back to you" without a real update just makes it worse. That’s bad form on our part, and I’m sorry.
Looking into order #32266, a couple of things happened here. The order came through on August 27th—just before the long August Bank Holiday weekend. Because of the bank holiday closure, DPD hit a backlog at the depot, which delayed the initial tracking scans. That’s outside our warehouse, but our support team still should have given you clear facts instead of non-committal answers.
The good news: your parcel is officially out of limbo. DPD has updated the tracking (ref: 15502909400218) and your order is scheduled for delivery today.

Decent quality, sketchy company background
Purchased a TV stand from them about 2 years ago. It's solid, looks great, and has lasted well so far. Delivery went smoothly, and only limited assembly (installing shelves and doors) was required.
The only thing that puts me off this brand is that they are essentially just an upmarket dropshipper. The "husband and wife team" mentioned on the about page do not, in fact, exist. This is per the owner's own admission in various industry blogs/interviews.
I wish the brand was more upfront about this. For one, I dislike the inauthenticity, and the enthusiasm to lie to customers in order to portray a certain brand image makes me trust the brand less. How can I be sure that the products are ethically sourced if you won't even tell me who owns the company?

Fishe & Lilly isn't a marketing gimmick—it’s what my wife and I call each other. We are a real UK-based husband-and-wife team, we own and run this business, and every piece of furniture we sell is built through close, direct relationships with our manufacturing partners, not pulled off a dropshipping catalog.
I’m genuinely baffled (and a bit curious) about which blog or interview claimed we were fictional, because it certainly didn't come from me. We pride ourselves on complete transparency, ethical sourcing, and building solid furniture for real homes.

Excellent narrow bedside tables
We're very happy with our new bedside tables which are stylish, well-made and, most importantly, narrow enough to fit our small space. One quibble: the items turned out to be darker than in the photographs; however this hasn't been a major issue. Pay attention with these guys and check your refunds.
I cancelled my order and they kept my money for almost a year. I had to threaten them with reporting them for fraud to get my money back and even then they didn’t return the full amount they owe me and attempted to withhold interest. Only after I have left a 1 star review they came to their senses and returned the remaining amount. However I feel like they did it because they wanted me to update the review rather than because they understood that they shouldn’t keep customers money.

I was hunting for bedside tables no more than 30cm wide which blended in with existing bedroom furniture and came across these. Solid wood, modern look and fit perfectly!!
