Great communication as well as expertâŠ
Great communication as well as expert packaging. Also, quick shipping. Received woodstove in less than a week after placing order. Freight Co was a pleasure to work with and the driver was top notch.

Richard, when a wood stove arrives in under a week and the freight driver actually makes the whole delivery a good experience, every part of the chain worked. That combination is rare and we genuinely appreciate you calling it out.
Easy sales, free shipping
Easy sales process. Rayden Ramkisson was friendly and super helpful. His attention to the customer is excellent. He even sent me a form from the manufacturer of the wood stove I purchased so that I could take advantage of a special promotion, and then called me 2 days later to follow up. Although there was a hiccup with the shipping, it was entirely the fault of the shipping company, not Fire Pit Surplus. And for free shipping, it was a hell of a deal.

Kyle, Rayden tracking down a manufacturer promotion and following up two days later to make sure you actually used it is exactly the kind of attention a wood stove purchase deserves. Really appreciate you noting where the shipping hiccup actually came from. That kind of honesty means a lot to us.
After years of my wife wanting a fire pitâŠ
We ordered our concrete fire pit and despite the long shipping estimate it showed up significantly ahead of schedule. It was well packed and loaded on a palette, which was 400lbs total. The shipper hung around while we removed the packaging and inspected for damage, but it arrived in perfect condition. Setup was easy and we were up and running in 45 mins including leveling and tearing down the packaging.
The fire pit itself is solid, looks phenomenal, and is a massive positive addition to the ambiance of our patio. Outstanding experience!

Ordering the fire pit was a breeze
Ordering the fire pit was a breeze. I ordered it in Sunday night and Friday morning it was in my backyard! The instructions for receiving the fire pit were so helpful. Itâs beautiful and exactly what we wanted.

Stephanie, a fire pit ordered Sunday and sitting in your backyard by Friday morning is not something every retailer pulls off. The receiving instructions are something we put real thought into and it is great to know they actually helped. Enjoy every fire.

Steve, fire pillars and a fire pit working together to extend your swim spa and deck season year-round is one of the best outdoor setups we have heard a customer put together. Sounds like the whole space came together exactly right. We would love to see those final pictures. Thank you for recommending Fire Pit Surplus.

Pottery Works 48ââŠ
Super happy with the Pottery Works 48â firebowl in natural concrete with lava rock. The bowl is the centerpiece in our backyard space with seating and side tables surrounding it. Roasting sâmores was the highlight of one of our evenings as well as drinking wine with friends and watching the fire. Customer service was friendly and answered all my concern about installation and weight.

Kay, a Pottery Works 48" firebowl in natural concrete with lava rock as the centerpiece of your whole backyard, s'mores going, wine poured, friends around it. That is the entire reason we do what we do at Fire Pit Surplus. Thank you for painting that picture so well.

Also, it was the best price I found for the Drolet!

Joe, working around your travel schedule and still landing the best price on a Drolet wood stove is a combination that does not always come together this cleanly. Really happy it did. Enjoy it.
Great online purchase experience.
From the initial selection to the customization to the several follow up emails between customer service and myself, this was a great experience from start to finish. Consistent updates and communication from customer service about progress and shipping, and prompt responses to my inquiries. Delivery driver, while associated with another company, was very polite and helpful. Firepit looks perfect and is exactly what we wanted. Top notch all around! Thank you!

Mark, consistent updates from selection through customization all the way to delivery is the kind of communication Fire Pit Surplus genuinely tries to build into every order. The delivery driver making a good impression on top of that shows the whole chain came together. Really appreciate you laying out the full picture.
Save yourself the agony of dealing with another absentee internet drop shipper
Fire Pit Surplus is almost assuredly a simple drop shipper. Theyâve applied to be a dealer from a number of manufacturers and built a spiffy website, but donât seem to have much if any actual hands-on experience.
They have an address somewhere in Wyoming. Itâs a web host / tech incubator.
The second you sign up or purchase anything from them, theyâll start sending you barrels full of spam email from their âFounderâ. As a Founder, sheâs completely invisible on the internet, probably because sheâs fabricated.
I had a massive run around from this company. Iâd never buy anything from them ever again. Instead I walked into a brick and mortar store and ordered the item of interest. They said they hear about this kind of thing all the time in the outdoor supplies and furniture market. I donât know how youâd go about dealing with any sort of after sales issue with a shadow company.
