Really enjoying how user friendly it is, and how fast you get a response from the support team. The way the system works, makes it easy to train new staff on how to operate. When we need to change something, or add something new, the support team is always available and expedite requests quickly.
Enshitification at lightning speed
Fareharbor started out as a well-built platform with good personal customer service. Then they were acquired by booking.com and since then the enshitification of the platform is going at lightning speed.
Their acquisition for new customers is done under fase pretenses and undelivered promises. All experienced staff has been laid off and replaced by AI bots and other useless systems. These AI systems cannot identify any problems and are programmed to think that users with specific problems are the problem itself. So, if you experience an issue with FareHarbor, they will not solve your problem. Instead, they will sidetrack you and try to get rid of you. Their slogan should be: computer says no.
Beware of Charge backs
As an owner operator, one must understand that Fareharbor has zero legs in your game. They will email you and let you know that there is a dispute on a charge. Have you jump through hoops giving them information that they already have. That’s just to make you feel good for the moment. It’s really a joke. However, they can’t fight for you. Not only will they not fight for you, they say they have no leverage. Not only do they not have leverage, which it’s obvious. They have really no reason to care. It’s not their business or their money, really. Be careful when using a quick fix to your online ordering. Make sure you have at least a 50/50 chance of winning a charge dispute. Not a middleman living off of your business. I promise you, if you want to know about my situation. I will let you read and listen to whatever you want. If you chose fareharbor, understand when the email comes, that there’s a dispute, that money is coming out of your account and not coming back. Also, if you need anything remotely special for your online booking experience. They will tell you it’s impossible or it will take too long. This is a generic system that will burn you when you grow. Fell free to reach out. I have all the information for you and will share emails and website info. Beware, they don’t really care. They’re making money off of you, no matter how much you lose because, either they have zero leverage and can’t or just will not fight. It has to be about relationship with credit industry. I haven’t figured it out completely, yet. It’s just about the money.
