This was a waste. I primarily wanted custom reading glasses and didn't know that your glasses wouldn't be suitable until I bought this.
Update. Eyeque responded here telling me to log in to the website and initiate an RMA. The link shown on trustpilot is broken but I was eventually able to find the website. I think that there is only a 30-day guarantee so it remains to be seen if I will be able to do a return. I wrote a message to customer support asking for directions.
New update: I changed my rating because they refunded my money. I hadn't expected that.

This is the second time I've used EyeQue, first was about a year ago. Prescription changed a little, but that's expected at my age - and the new glasses are just perfect. Gotta love this device!

I have purchased 4 pairs of glasses using the EyeQye tool. Never had any issue with the quality of the self prescribed prescription generated by the self test.

Excellent support service, thorough, effective and relatively fast. I had problems using VisionCheck2 with my smartphones, with my two LG V20's I had an unusual problem that made VisionCheck2 unusable. With the support team we were able to verify that the problem was not in the VisionCheck2, but in the excessive focused sensitivity of the LG V20 phone screen. They even purchased an LG V20 to study the problem and were able to give me tips on how to make the LG V20 usable with VisionCheck2. Additionally, I reported a couple of bugs in the web platform that displays personal measurement results with EyeQue VisionCheck2 and they corrected them relatively quickly. In short, they gave me useful tips to improve the reliability of the EyeQue VisionCheck2 and EyeQue Insight measurements.

You already know the problem. The eye piece to measure distance is a failure. Specifically the eye cushion does not hold my eye far enough away to cause the image to merge. My eyeball is too close to the slit. I can only see through one of the slits at that distance and trying to hold my eye at the right distance is too difficult. Second, why is it motorized? make it manual and measure it's position digitally. Manual lets you fine tune it. Lastly, it's ten times easier to just put a ruler out from my eye with a piece of paper with writing on it then slide it away from my eye until it starts getting blurry. Then do the math to convert it to a measurement. Make something similar to that instead of what you've got.
What I was hoping for was what is at the eye doctor. The device you just look into and there is a picture that the device focuses then figures out your eye measurement.
as for the secondary devices, IPD etc, they seem to work fine.

I tried the product and ordered the glasses. They didn't improve my vision, so I worked with one of their staff to diagnose the issue. Ultimately, it was determined that this product didn't work with my particular vision problems. So I was given a full refund.
I understand that one product will not fit all, and it's unfortunate EyeQue didn't work for me. But I received great customer service from EyeQye, so I will kudos where they are due.

Extraordinary customer service! I had questions about my prescription and try-one that were seamlessly addressed. EyeQue’s customer service actually reached out to me via email personalized to me. It is very uncommon to receive customer service anything like what EyeQue provides these days. The try-one are effective and now ready to order glasses online…wish they had a solution for ordering online because I would prefer to stick with the company.

I would recommend a few practice runs with the Eye que device to make sure you are getting it right.
That being said the Bifocals that I ordered online the prescription and pupillary distance seem spot on.
