Evolve was very professional, always responded to emails the team was very experienced and explained the process. The waiting list for NHS was unbelievable but we only waited a short time and finally got the answers we new and helped our young adult to understand THANK YOU so much

I recently had a very positive experience with Evolve during a neuro assessment for my son. From start to finish, the process was handled with professionalism, care, and understanding. The team took the time to explain every step, ensuring I felt informed and reassured throughout.

The assessors was incredibly patient and engaging, making my son feel at ease during what could have been a stressful experience. Their thorough and compassionate approach made a significant difference, and the detailed feedback we received was both insightful and actionable.

I am truly grateful for the support and expertise provided by Evolve and would highly recommend their services to any parent seeking clarity and guidance in understanding their child’s needs.

There were some initial miscommunications between Evolve and the school which led to a significant delay in Lauren getting on the waiting list but I was pleased that Evolve agreed to restablish her position on the waiting list where she should have been if the miscommunication hadn’t happened. There was an 8 week wait for the report following the assessment which seemed very long. The review meeting post diagnosis explained what behaviours Lauren presented which led to an autism diagnosis and there was a lot of sign posting to organisations post diagnosis but I think it would be useful to have a follow up session with Evolve to help her understand what her particular challenges are. What does her autism look like? We don’t know.

I have given 4 stars for the zoom calls I had with Billy he was very professional and very understanding, as I am neurodivergent myself he helped by speaking in easier terms and explained everything very supportive throughout all 3 zoom calls.

The face to face appointment for my daughter was more for a much younger child which didn’t really help her engage in the activities yes she spoke about her “obsession” majority of the time.
The diagnosis wasn’t what I expected they couldn’t really diagnose adhd as she didn’t hit the criteria score 🤦🏻‍♀️ we did come away with ASC but feeling they needed to maybe ask deeper questions

We came to Evolve in Harrogate under NHS right to choose as no where in our area at that time was offering right to choose and the camhs waiting list was over 2 years long. We were initially told the wait was 9 months but the wait went up to 12 months due to the amount of referals they had . I was a bit upset not to be directly contacted and told this but found out by chance via a facebook update . Very annoying when your desperate for answers so feel that could have been handled better . The admin and virtual appointments all went without a hitch and i found all staff to be polite and helpful . The lady who booked our appointment was so helpful when i explained we live in the south east so it was quite a journey for us and she went out of her way to book us in the school
Holidays to minimise disruption which i felt was kind .
On the day of my daughters assesment the two staff who interacted with my daughter was fantastic and not phased by her presentation at all . They were professional and complementary of my daughter’s character and put us all at ease .
The day of getting the results went well and was done online and the lady who delivered the news was kind , compassionate and keen to make sure we understood what she had
Told us and happy to answer questions and didnt rush us . There was a delay in getting the written report which i had to chase but overall i feel Evolve handled us well and have correctly diagnosed my daughter which is the main thing.

Evolve were professional but friendly at every step. The majority of their communication was clear and where there was confusion they were quick to clarify.

Where do I start? Right from the start when we went down the right to choose route we had nothing but a great experience.
Evolve were great with constant communication, and just so friendly and professional.
My son had a years wait on the waiting list, our meetings were done over zoom and I couldn’t fault them. The lovely people we dealt with were kind and understanding, they listened to our concerns and so incredibly supportive.
My son is so good at masking and from what he told us he didn’t give much information during his assessment, this stressed us out thinking they may not be able to see it but they saw past the masking. He got his diagnosis and at that meeting we were told the report may take about 4-6 weeks to come through, we had it emailed through less than a week later!

My daughter is waiting for her dual assessment, her wait is a 2 year wait due to the waiting list being so long. I hope Evolve can see through her masking too, and help us with her diagnosis. I can’t thank them enough for their support so far.

I had chosen this company through right to choose for my daughter as waiting lists for adhd autism assessments were over 4 years in my area. The wait time was 12 months due to increase of demand but this was still better than the alternative.
When there was any questions or queries these were answered quickly and efficiently.
The 12 month waiting list was adhered to as promised and the assessments were in depth and done with great care, patients and professionalism.
We got the results in a reasonable time frame and any delays were communicated and understandable due to needing further information from elsewhere.
I would highly recommend this company and if ever needed again I would definitely return.

My son was assessed by evole after waiting several years on NHS, he was seen within 12 months of our registration and the two members of staff we saw we both very understanding of his needs but the both constantly made me feel reassured and at ease. When I had my review phone call I was emotional because I finally had answers for my son and Katy gave me time to compose myself and was very reassuring. I highly recommend this service..

I had an incredibly disappointing and distressing experience with Evolve Psychology under the Right to Choose pathway. They misdiagnosed my daughter, claiming she was “too sociable” to meet the criteria for autism. Instead, they attributed her challenges to PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) traits linked to her ADHD—something that isn’t even a recognized diagnosis. Unfortunately, after their assessment, my daughter’s struggles escalated, and she could no longer cope in mainstream education just a few months later.

She was granted an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) without issue and placed in a specialist school for children with ASD. Along the way, multiple professionals, including pediatricians and psychologists, reviewed her case. They were baffled that Evolve had not diagnosed her with autism. Eventually, she was assessed on the NHS, where the team was extremely helpful and thorough. They diagnosed her with ASD, confirming there was more than enough evidence at the time of her initial assessment to meet the diagnostic criteria.

I know Evolve will likely respond by claiming that struggles and evidence become more apparent over time. However, this simply does not hold up. My daughter’s difficulties were so significant that she was moved out of mainstream school just months after their assessment. Additionally, Evolve assured me they could see through masking, but their report does not reflect this. I’ve shown their report to multiple other providers, who have all said it is inadequate and doesn’t make sense—especially in its advice around PDA, which they connected to ADHD in an unsupported and confusing way.

This process was incredibly traumatic for my daughter, who was left confused and distressed. Imagine being told by one service that you’re not autistic, only to have others confirm that you are and send you to a school for ASD. Autism isn’t something that “develops”; she was autistic when Evolve assessed her, and they failed to recognize it.

When I raised these concerns with Evolve, they were rude, dismissive, and completely unsupportive. Their attitude compounded the stress and frustration of what was already an awful experience.

I chose the Right to Choose option to get my daughter help quickly, but it turned out to be a serious mistake. If you’re considering Evolve, especially if you have a daughter, I urge you to think carefully. Their inability to provide an accurate diagnosis and the inadequacy of their report caused unnecessary delays, confusion, and trauma.
Searching online it is easy to see others have had the same experience.

Mad ean NHS right to choose referral for 2 if my children which were seen within 12 months of referral and the outcome as much as I hurts I feel are correct with both my children and both are different. They always kept me up to date with things and was always so lovely and professional in my appointments. My younger child is a girl and masks so well but the saw through her and I was very shocked as not many do ! Would highly recommend. One thing that could be make the experience better would be refreshments or magazines etc to keep parents occupied whilst waiting an hour for your child to be assessed.

Unfortunately going through a right-to-choose assessment for ASC and ADHD I found them to be unprofessional and incorrect in diagnosis. We had to wait another two years after their non-diagnosis to be diagnosed via CAMHS they don't see past a Childs mask and to be quite honest they didn't look. Very disappointed with them

From the start of the NHS referral we were looked after very well. Originally referred through our GP, we were kept up-to-date with every step of the process. Every time we spoke to a member of the Evolve team they were professional, helpful and pleasant. The offices are welcoming and friendly with the calm atmosphere you would hope for. Our interview was relaxed and friendly and really helped us to get the best information from memory so we could answer questions as thoroughly as possible. The interaction with our daughter was made fun and engaging for her. She isn't great at new people but she came away feeling happy! On receiving her diagnosis we were given valuable insights into aspects of ASC and advice on where we could find further support. Very happy parents, thank you Evolve!
