Terrible terrible just terrible again, it’s a SCAM !!! Spent almost 3 hours trying to connect and take the test , switching 4 proctors , my access password wasn’t working , safari was down and chrome wouldn’t allow me to initiate the testa cause the password wasn’t recognized. Ended up not taking the test and being frustrated all day .

Lorsque ma fille s'est connectée une sorte de robot à pris la main sur son ordi de façon autoritaire et a commencé à regarder les applis installées, puis a mis un terme au test avant même qu'il ne soit commencée sans aucun motif.
A présent ETS refuse de reprogrammer un nouveau test et fait les pires des difficultés pour rembourser les 120$ que j'ai payé.
Ce sont des escrocs qui utilisent un jargon fumeux avec des prétextes bidons de "sécurité" pour ne pas rendre le service vendu et refusent de rembourser les clients lésés.

I paid for TOELF and didn't even get registered for an exam. No refund even after many emails. I lost 180$ for nothing due to them

Joining more than a hundred people in expressing extreme disappointment with my test, which I had to take at home due to the lack of testing centers in my area (Bern, Switzerland). My test got terminated by the proctor with an excuse in the middle of a listening activity (my test was running smoothly and my connection to the Proctor was fine until they took my controls and terminated my chat). I have been blamed for not running background checks before the session (which is just not at all true). They will cause problems to terminate your test on purpose so you lose your money and time. It is a scam, avoid it.

I wanted to take a TOEFL iBT at home. During the 10 minute break I did not move a muscle nor leave my testing area. After the break I wasnt able to reconnect to the exam. Long story short - they disconnected me from the exam and accused me of leaving my testing area.
After 5 hours of talking to customer service and 6 Proctors I managed to get back to my exam and finish it. Now I am being told that due to all the interruptions experienced during the exam my test wont be graded (interruptions THEY caused...).

I dont know w.t.f kind of unprofessional institution this is but if I could I´d give them 0 stars.

Untrustworthy organization. Right before I click start on the Praxis, they say the test has been terminated. After days of following up, they claim it was an app in the background running. Except I opened no app. Nothing. I only turned on the computer and opened the site to take the test. I had previously ran the computer through ProcterU testing requirements and had been cleared to take the test on two different occasions. Absolutely ridiculous.

They deserve 0 stars. Attempted to take a test, but was shut down for no reason. Was given no answers. Wait on the phone for hours for staff that has no desire to actually help. Can we please get another testing service. DO NOT TAKE ONLINE. In person only. Horrible company.

I just took my praxis core writing exam scheduled for at home. Immediately into it, I was told that I would be given 100 minutes for the test. However, on my email receipt/confirmation, it clearly states that the duration will consist of 120 FULL minutes. This being my first time resting to take a praxis exam, I am very disappointed and am NOT looking forward to taking 4 more exams with them. My test was cut short and I better be reimbursed with a free test or time allotted into my previous test. This is just ridiculous.

in spite of the unclear instructions I took the Home Edition version of TOEFL. It was fine until they terminated my test without letting me explain because I took my phone out of the room during the break even tough it was written on the screen to take the phone out doing the break.
I contacted several numbers including Proctor company, ETS service and several mail adresses that day and the next ones but they kept ignoring me except with one email in which they told me they’re going to look into it and no response ever since. I was unbelievably ripped off, Going to take IELTS now.

No wonder the United States has a teacher shortage! I took the CORE exam and exceeded the average performance range! On the other hand, I have repeatedly failed by 1-3 points each time on the two exams that are on "bell curves." I even asked to have one of my exams re-scored. I had the two exact same questions presented to me on different occasions. How was it that I received an 8 scoring on the constructed analysis portion the first time, but when I did much better in the multiple choice, I was scored a 5 (just shy of passing)? I smell a rat!

And don't get me started on the "New Jersey" business who clearly has an entirely outsourced customer service staff.

This is the biggest scam and I do not recommend this for anyone. I ordered an online test, on the test date everything was going fine until I got kicked out of my test. They claimed that I cheated even though i did not do anything. I then tried contacting their support system on the mail and on the phone. They did not anwser on the mail and on the phone i waited in Line for hours and nobody anwsered. It has now been over a month and no one has answered me. This is a total scam and they just want your money.

How are these people running a legal global business?
As I have now read that it happened to so many, it also happened to me: the Home Edition test crashed and froze multiple times so I couldnt finish the test. My computer is way above the necessary technical testing requirements. Still, after inquiring to reschedule or for a refund, I also just received a copy-paste message stating that it was my fault due to my computer not meeting requirements. Absolutely ridiculous and apparently a major ongoing scam operation. Why is nobody suing these thieves?

Awful experience. Registered for the GRE at home. After studying for weeks, took 4 hours out of my day to take their test. I followed all the instructions, which were fairly detailed and presumably had someone monitoring me via my webcam the entire time. My score was placed under administrative review, which I presume is to check if I was somehow cheating. I have no clue what triggered this review and getting information from them is extremely difficult. If this is a problem with taking the test at home, they really should provide warnings about the risks of going with their at-home option.
Getting in contact with them via email or phone appears to be impossible. Their hold system is awful. No information has been provided why my scores are not available. No information is provided on what my options are. Can I get a refund?

Based on others' reviews and my wife's own experience this company needs to be shut down. They know they are bad at this and still take people's money and disappear behind their incompetence. Avoid them at all costs, and it will cost you time, money and energy.

Update: Following advice on Reddit to complain on LinkedIn did get us a passive aggressive phone call from ETS about "blasting" them on social media.

ETS is playing scammer and victim in their own scam. Going to file with my state AG now.

Like many others, I was just robbed by this company. I booked TOEFL test and canceled it in advance. Never got my 50% refund back. Filling 3 complaints to Paypal did not help as well. After my several e-mails to ETS, they just deleted my payment information from my ETS profile and made up as I've never even paid for the test :-)

I am surprised that ETS still operates and was not closed by the US government.

Worst customer experience I've ever experienced...

Completed proctoru equipment test multiple times prior to my IBT home test. Right as the test started, it was terminated due to unvisable cause. After speaking to the ProctorU support in the middle of the night, they would not provide any information, and referred me to ETS customer support.

It is clear that the only goal of ETS is not to speak to customers. It is virtually impossible to reach a customer support rep. I've now spend hours on the phone waiting to speak to them.

They destroyed me psychologically and cut off my hope that I would achieve more achievements. They are deceitful.

Pathetic service for Praaxis exam test dates and availability.I am writing them from last 4 months to get test date of Praxis world language exam and made 2 phone calls(internationals with a waiting time of minimum 10-12 minutes) to register a test date but to no avail.useless and unprofessional people who expect the others to be professional.
