Mixed Results
Using the eSim at Budapest Hungary.
First day the speed was ok. Next day it didn't work most of the time or was very slow. I couldn't mange to use even half of my 1G.
Plan perchesd was: 1G for 7 days.
Worked ok for the first day. From the second day internet was unusable.
Used less then 0.5G.
A friend of mine used the eSim in Turkey in November 2025 and had a very good experience.
I'll test this eSim in the future and update.

Good overall
It was the first time using an eSIM from them and it worked reasonably well. Sometimes I was getting very bad signal or it was not connecting at all (showing a "!" next to the signal level bars).
I am not sure it is something common in Canada or in the USA, but I never have these network issues with my personal eSIM in Europe.

Excellent client service

Unfortunately, I had some problems activating my eSIM today.
The customer service at Esim4travel did an excellent job, putting up with all my annoying questions and answering them very clearly. Ultimately, it was my fault, but they still created a new eSIM for me. Thank you so much for that; this certainly won't be my last purchase.

Terrible online chat services received
I don't know how all these people said eSim4Travel provide excellent customer service. My experience with the online chat is terrible. I won't buy any of their service until I figure out how things work. Their installation guide PDF that was found on their website doesn't make sense and the link provided wasn't clickable and their website has nothing to download so I tried online chat and asked how things work. The online agent basically ignores many of my questions and only get to answer one of the questions I asked and I have to repeat a few times to get my questions answered. Basically you have to register for an account and their website, paid for their services first, before you can figure out what you can do with your paid services. and once you are at your travel destination, you run into issue with their services, you have to have FREE wifi in order to contact their customer services to get things resolved. they don't have 1-800 toll free number service for troubleshooting. If I have FREE wifi access, why do I need this company? Thank you for providing such terrible services to begin with, so I know I am saving money from this company.

Regarding the use of eSIM, we recommend that customers complete the installation before departure to avoid potential installation failures caused by unstable public networks. Once the installation is completed, simply follow the instructions to activate, and the eSIM will automatically be activated when you arrive at your destination.
Please note that network services must be connected to the signal of a local telecom operator in order to function. Therefore, if you are on a cruise ship, the limited signal sources may cause unstable connections or make the service unavailable. At present, we only provide online customer support and do not yet offer phone support, but as long as the basic settings are correct, there should generally be no problem in usage. The signal quality, however, depends on the coverage of the local telecom provider, which may vary according to local infrastructure.

Excellent Experience with emsim4travel
I purchased two 5GB eSIMs for myself and my daughter. We had a few hiccups connecting to the local networks at first, but customer service was very helpful and guided us step by step until everything worked perfectly. The total cost was less than $8.50 for both eSIMs, which is an amazing value for money. The best part is that we didn’t need to download an app that would take up extra storage on our phones. I would definitely purchase again. Overall, a great experience, and I highly recommend emsim4travel!

We understand the inconvenience you experienced, and would like to further clarify that the system only has the function of recording data usage, and does not have any permission or capability to directly use the data on your phone. We have accumulated over a million records, all of which accurately reflect actual data usage sources, and no abnormalities have ever occurred. (Our customer service team has also provided you with the complete data usage details for your reference.)
At the same time, our backend data is kept in sync with the telecom operator, which is the sole basis for billing and data management. Please rest assured that we will never overcharge.
We have also suggested that you check and disable automatic updates for Apps and cloud services to avoid background data consumption. However, since you only provided “data usage for the day” rather than the full records, we were unable to further identify which application generated the additional usage.
In this situation, we have responded and assisted you as best we can with a friendly attitude, and even applied for a refund on your behalf. Nevertheless, we regret that it still did not fully meet your expectations. We also kindly remind you that in the future, when using eSIM or other data services, it is advisable to check your phone’s auto-update settings to prevent unexpected data consumption.

Great experience
I used their eSIM on my trip to Bermuda and it works great. I had 5G and 4G signal all over the island. Their prices were very fair and competitive, I found them using eSIMdb (with a 10% off coupon).
The only downside I found was the latency was variable - although I didn’t find this to impact the quality of the signal. I made some WhatsApp calls using it and I found it to be fine.
Would recommend! I will be using them again on my next trip.

eSim for Madagascar via the Orange network
I bought an eSim for Madagascar. Service provided by Orange. Very poor availability of data, only in the neighbourhood of big cities I got a reliable connection.
Other people traveling with me bought a local physical SIM card from YAS, which assured connection almost everywhere on the island.
I just got contacted by eSIM4Travel and they have refunded the whole amount I paid. This is a nice compensation but I would of course have preferred a good service during my holidays
