On 20th July 2026 I stupidly fell for the beautiful dresses and price. 3 dresses ordered, took ages to arrive and material not as advertised. Full refund promise is not true! Cost to return to China £35! After lots of email correspondence I opted to keep the dresses and 75% credit voucher. 2 months ago I tried to place an order using credit voucher but couldn’t ….. still no reply from the company. Feel very stupid and out of pocket. IT’S A SCAM WEBSITE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

Absolute scam. Do not fall for it.
The item arrived after a month. Poor quality and not as described. Absolute hassle to return the item- being offered ridiculous “offers” like keep the item and receive 15% return OR send back to China at your own expense. Still not resolved. The website states money back guarantee- clearly not the case.

This does not even deserve 1 star! absolutely diabolical product and service! Dress doesnt have buttons - they are painted on - this is a case for Trade Descriptions - the item(s) sent = returned once and they even sent me another dreadful dress - seems I cant return that without incurring more fees to return .... DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER

Very poor quality and wrong sizing - nothing like photograph. When requesting refund, reply after reply offered discount.Finally agreed refund if I shipped item back to China. Because I paid by credit card, I successfully obtained a chargeback refund from my bank in the end. Do not buy from this company unless you have money to burn.

I would give 0/10 if possible.
This is a SCAM.
I paid £30 for a dress, it took 3 weeks to arrive, when it did i was shocked. Disgusting material, all plastic, no label, made in China probably.
To return had to post to China. Eventually settled for 35% refund just to move on. Do Not Use This Company.
FRAUD AND SCAM

Omg this is not Ernest London but Ernest China, paid £30 for a dress that arrived late, then the dress is nothing like it looks on the website, cheap horrible material, so big and shapeless, I did not even try it on ! Do dissapointed and then trying to return the dress, after so many e mails and then you can keep the dress and have 10% off, 25% off etc, I said I do not want to keep the dress, my grandmother if she was still alive would not wear it, so ugly, so I gave in and got £7.50 back as I did not want to send it to China, so that’s £22 in the bin ! Do not buy from here, it’s a scam !

Would've give 0 if I could. Steer clear of these scammed. Their goods/ dresses are cheap rubbish and from China not London. Returned it tracked to return address on packaging in London but saying it should've went to China. Paid £30 for the dress and they offered £7.50 refund! Dont be fooled by them

Only one star because can't give nil, dress bore only the slightest resemblance to the one I ordered the button front for instance was non existent some badly printed blobs in the front i assume were supposed to be buttons, no sign of getting my money, computer generated answers, dress returned to the return address on the label only to find that the computer says a completely different address in china!! Do not touch this company with a barge pole

Seems that I've had the same bad experience as the others reviewing this company. Supposedly 5 - 7 days delivery - took 20 days! Beautiful dress on the website, advertised as 'button down front, embroidered dress' - there are no buttons at all, its just an image of buttons printed onto the cheap material, its not even a good image of buttons, looks pathetic. The promised embroidery is again non existant. Its been cobbled together badly, the v neck lays flat on 1 side but the other side hangs gapingly because one side is 2.5 cms longer than the other. Its not wearable. After many emails to them trying to get my money back to no avail, so I've given up. My only hope is that some potential purchaser reads this before buying anything from this company. The only good reviews I've seen are on their website, and you can tell that they are not genuine. One telling sign is that all the wonderful reviews have young women wearing their items and they all look they have been done professionally all with perfect hair and make up, posing in beautiful gardens etc, its a complete sham

This appears to be a total scam. I ordered 3 dresses which looked very nice on the Ernest London website. Eventually they arrived but so very disappointed as the S size turned out to be huge and totally unwearable. They offered a 25% refund and I could keep the goods ( which I had no use for) or I could have a 75% store credit for a future order, as if. Returning to China seems to be an expensive route leaving you with only a fraction of the amount paid. Best advice would be to avoid this company.

This company is a scam I ordered 2 dresses that were advertised when I received them they are not what I ordered they are rubbish. Poor quality no labels poor stitching and of no shape and a fight to get my cash back return to China no way will bin them as that's all they are fit for

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. I ordered a dress and after one day I received an email to say it was not in stock and could choose another dress of any value. There was nothing else I liked so I requested a full refund. I have now received another email advising as I wish to ‘RETURN’ the order they DID NOT send I can have a 15% refund or a 50% store credit. I wish I had read the reviews first I would not have placed an order. I have officially raised this dispute with my bank.

I would give no stars if I could. Waited ages for a dress in medium which was equivalent to a size 20 but when I tried to send it back, they wanted 8.95 to send me a smaller one or 15 percent credit. Trying to return the dress was a nightmare!

Been conned. Had to wait ages for delivery - discovered they were coming from China not UK. The dresses (I foolishly bought 3!) are of poor quality and the sizes are way too big, even though I chose their measurements. They look nothing like those on the website. So disappointed. What a complete waste of money.

The order took 3 weeks to arrive. When it did arrive I was so disappointed, looked nothing like it did on website. Material is like nylon polyester, the hem had stitching all the way round the outside of hem in a lighter thread. Neck was wide. It was bought in sale and they are not returnable and I have to pay to return it to an international supplier. Complete waste of money, I will donate it to a charity shop. Will never buy from them again nor will I recommend to anyone.

It is 1 star because I could not put 0 star .It is a con. It takes 2 weeks to arrive because it came from China !!!. I payed for a cotton dress and I received a shoddy oversized dress in acrylic. To have a full refund it has to be sent back to China!!!! i received 2 offers of a partial refund and an hypothetical for future purchases. I am the only one to have been conned. How it is possible this sort of company can continue to trade.

It takes forever to receive anything. The items are rubbish, cheap material thrown together, nothing like what was offered. It appears to be a permanent sale which means their 30 day return offer never applies. To return items you have to send them to China with tags still on - there are no tags. A complete con.

The clothing pictured on the website bears no relationship to the shoddy outfits received. The sizing is a joke. S (small) is designed for a whale, there is no tailoring and the material used is 100% synthetic, unbreathable. Their modus operandi is promote items in a sale on which they refuse to accept returns or reimbursement. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
