I when I Ordered the Battery back in May they Email me to let me know that my order was out of stocked tell the end of June and they give me a choice let them keep my order or get a refund my choice was let them keep the order and as promised the Battery was Delivered today on 23rd of July and I was happy with them my chain broke last week Email them to see how to get the best on and got a Email back say be new chain be posted with the Battery truly to the word the did I can Thank them very much and very please with the service I have with them

This is basically for David Browning, as from the beginning of this Year, I have had a Roma 50 on Order with E-Rider, and paid the £1000.00 deposit - but I have suffered an ear infection which has destroyed my Balance ! Therefore, anything on 2 wheels is no longer available to me & I informed e-rider as such. They promissed me that they would sell the Roma 50 for me as soon as it came in and THEN refund as much of the Deposit as they could, depending on how much THEY got for the Scooter on re-sale. However, this will not be a re-sale, as Brand New, but YOU, David Browning could benefit from my misfortune - I really wish that I could have gone ahead !!

Roma 30 not 3000w but 2000w. Underpowered, so Roma 50 with 5000w motor needed

I arranged for a test ride of a Roma 30 and was told that it would be of 15 minutes duration. When I first saw the Roma 30 on the eRider website it was listed as having a 3000w motor, but after I ordered the ride I looked at the site again and saw that it had been changed to 2000w. I went ahead with the purchase but found the machine laboured on several of my local hills. I was nervous that the motor might even stall on the steep hills between Wiveliscombe and Barnstable which could be very dangerous. I told eRider that I should really have the 3000w model but as this is no longer available I asked for a Roma 50, which has a 5000w motor, instead. As this is not available until October I was advised to ride the 30 until then when they will sell it on eBay and replace it with the model 50.

Pleasant phone discussion and answered…

Pleasant pre sales phone discussion and answered most questions efficiently.
Purchased via web and process is simple and efficient. A follow up telephone call would have been nice and more customer focused.
E rider tried to deliver bike with one hour notice despite, asking for delivery to be pre agreed. Did not then hear anything for a week and had to call myself to re-arrange delivery
E rider could provide more information for registering the bike with DVLA.it is not clear what parts of the form need completing by the owner or what documents you must include with the application.
There is no written document to back the 2 year warranty as advertised on the web site.this is probably non compliant with consumer rights legislation.
A big gripe is there is no user manual or instructions sent with the bike. Come on how many of these are you selling and how difficult would it be to produce a simple user's guide??

Real quite, and fast, and modern, Good investment because when the battery nerds replacing, the newer battery's will deliver two to three times the Power for the same price l, best bike on the market .You will just have to bare with the 75 miles it delivers on a single charge, untill they bring out the new batteries, that deliver more power,.Luke u said it is ahead uf it's time, so this is not a problem. Maybe four years time.minimum of three. Around £800 is not bad for a replacement battery that lasts years, and delivers 300miles along a charge. Also service free for 30.000+ miles on the solid state motor, just replace tyres and brake pads only, and the wheel bearings and steering, Service free engine. if this bike was petrol you would be looking at £5500, You get a tax rebate of 20% of the price.I may keep this for 13 Years the year 2033 When the law says "All cars and motorbikes in the roads, must be electric"The end to petrol motors manufacture Swapped for chemtrails emissions.dorad out evenly through the sky so it dues not clutter fumes just in cities (Fair do) Many Thanks E-rider for your bike I hope to still own it in 2034

OK lets start. I have recently acquired a second hand Model 30 City under four years old. The Battery needs charging. I rand E-rider to ask the simple question of how do I charge the battery off of the bike. The charger I have I assume is the one supplied, however, the connection is nothing like the top or the battery case. I rang E-rider for some help. I spoke to a chap called Ken. He didn't really seem interested and at one point I felt a little rude in his reply. My concern was the electrical lead could fit straight to the battery without the condenser in line. I pointed out that there is nothing on their website to inform a purchaser how to charge the battery off of the bike and this could be a potential hazard to someone who didn't know what to do. The response was "well you wouldn't connect the battery directly to the mains unless you wanted to burn our house down would you?" Not really what I wanted to hear. I would hope that any suggestions or potential safety concerns are taken seriously and addressed accordingly .

I registered with E-rider and wrote a question on the forum page, because I mentioned the lack of interest my registration was removed. Overall not a particularly positive experience or very encouraging. When you ring a company for assistance it's because you need help.

The bike you acquired was obsolete therefore the User Manual was no longer available on our website. You were advised not to plug the battery directly into the mains without putting it through the transformer supplied.

That was good advice.

Do NOT Trust Eriderbikes

Purchased an Erider Model 30 electric moped with removeable battery online in June 2018. It was on offer, and I thought it was a good time to get one. I was dealing with someone named Tim (no surname) the entire time. I assumed, as I probably shouldn't have, that he was the one in charge of the company. He was the one who responded to my emails with any kind of authority; email was the only way Eriderbikes dealt with me with regard questions and issues I had with the bike. I tried to ring and speak with someone, but was always refered back to email. (I have kept every single piece email correspondence for a record of my interactions with Erider)
I started having issues with a few things on the bike from the first ride. Tim was initially helpful in the way he interacted with me. I managed to fix the first issue with help from friends, which was relatively minor. But after a week or so of use, I noticed that the battery needed charging a lot more often that I thought it should. I let Tim know via email that it wasn't going as far as specified on the website on a single charge, along with other issues/concerns. Then I started hearing a worrying noise. I emailed Tim back and forth for several months, in which time, I started experiencing arcing with the Anderson plugs. Tim suggested I get them replaced, which I did. The arcing began to happen again only after a few months of use. I started to get annoyed because Tim promised to sort out the problem of the noise I'd been hearing, saying he would come to investigate next he was in the area. It got to the point that I was sending angry emails quoting the Consumer Rights Act to him. Finally, after nearly a year, he came to look at the bike. He rode it around the block once, maybe twice, and told me there was no noise. He made me feel very unsafe and that I'd wasted his precious time coming all the way here to discover no problem. I was in tears because I wasn't making up the noise. I asked if he could investigate the issue further to see if he could find the problem, but he said it would be pointless as he couldn't find an issue, having ridden it around the block.
Later, when my rear lense fell off for no reason at all, which I only noticed after coming home, I began the process of making a claim on my 2 year warranty.
But after that visit, I didn't have any confidence in Tim's ability to deal with people, nor in his ability to sort the problem. Still I had no choice, the part I needed was only available through Eriderbikes. I was relieved that after a few emails, Tim begrudgingly agreed to send me a replacement lense at no cost. A gesture of kindness I thought was out of character. I took the moped to have the lense replaced. This was in Summer 2019. I also asked if they could check on the noise again. At first they couldn't identify the issue, but later rang to tell me that the noise was a friction sound caused by the cheap materials used to construct the bike. If Tim had been honest with me that this was the reason for all my worry, I would have accepted that. When repairs were finished, the workshop rand to say my battery died.
I was also feeling horribly because Tim had treated me so poorly in the past. I was thinking I'd have saved myself a lot of trouble if I'd returned it when the problems first startded. I didn't want to go through dealing with him again. I was distracted and caused some cosmetic damadge to the bike wile pushing it back home from the workshop.
I spent the next several moths on a second claim for the battery, explaining and documenting that the battery stopped holding charge while in the shop. I sent documentation from the garage and did everything I could to show that the fault with the battery wasn't caused by me. I even referred back to my early emails where I noticed the battery wasn't going very far on a single chanrge. After months of waiting for a decision, he decided he wanted to pesonally examine the battery. Fine, but I wanted a witness present after last time. I began negotiating how to make this possible when he stopped replying to my emails. I never heard back from him again. Tim did not follow proper procedure in dealing with my claim. A decision either way was only fair.
I was anxious to even start trying to get justice, not even compensation at this point. In March this year I phoned Eriderbikes and requested the name of their delivery service so that I could return the bike. I was even prepared to start a small claims proceeding. My husband reminded me that this man didn't deserve all the power I'd given him over my life, and this would make me relive all the trouble I had with Tim. I probably couldn't return the bike now anyway because of the cosmetic damadge. I was too late.
It's been a rough 2 years. Do not trust Tim. He has violated Erider warranty procedures deciding that silence was better than action on my claim. Do NOT trust Eriderbikes.

We have sold hundreds of these bikes and the vast majority of our customers are delighted with them. An intermittent fault such as a "noise" can be very difficult to diagnose and when our engineer came out to inspect the bike the noise was not in evidence. It seems clear from what you say that the independent garage to which you took the bike was also unable to diagnose any problem.

We do get a number of claims for defective batteries immediately prior to the end of the two year warranty period and unfortunately we cannot just send a replacement without first investigating whether there is a defect. That is normal business practice.

We are sorry that you have been unhappy with your purchase but can assure you that you are in a small minority of our customers.

good firm to deal with.

good firm to deal with.
restricted to using the bike (e rider 15) due to lock down. have done 53K to date.
(bike is nippy on acceleration) most was 30k journey with lights on , inc 2 over rail bridge's, battery level still showed one mark.
seat is comfy , good leg/feet room, good underseat storage and top box
takes motorcycle helmet .
biggest gripe is handlebar bolt tricky to get in on assembly - best remove fairing.

Ordered new chain for E rider 18 came in plenty time ,also spare Battery 48v 12 Ah.And charger from E rider 18 Also you track your order so I am happy with the results from them.And customer service on web page .still need to update on web page for battery because it’s different in hight and Color.the battery still fitted with out the inside lid .done job still.thank you E rider

Review or the E-Rider model 15.
I’m leaving this review the day I received the bike, I will update in due course on the longevity of the bike.
Ordering was very easy, took minutes to do online.
The bike turned up just over 1 week later with a specialist motorcycle courier who was helpful, knowledgable and polite, he also helped me carry the sizeable box from the van into my garden which he did not have to do.
Building the bike took a total of 45 mins.
Whilst the build quality isn't to Honda standards nor is the price, it’s a nice looking bike.
Ride quality is good, it starts stop and goes well, it get up to speed quickly and with little effort.
I live on a relatively steep hill and using just the motor the bike managed to get up it.
I’m happy to recommend this bike to anyone and will be buying another for my wife.
