Paid for my food delivery in November!
Received a small partial delivery before Christmas but no re fund for the remaining undelivered items.
My credit card company is trying to recover my money from them!
Total Scam.

Am 02.09.2023 habe ich auf der Website bestellt, bis heute habe ich nichts erhalten.
Anfänglich wurde ich in den Mails vertröstet, mittlerweile bekomme ich nicht mal mehr eine Antwort.

Ordered at beginning of December. Payment by Twint confirmed by company, so they got their money. Delivery on 23 December, over 50% of the items i ordered not included. No response since then from the company to several polite e mails and a phone call. Even allowing for Christmas rush and errors, still crap service and unprofessional. probably just fly by night mob who cant actually manage all the orders and deliveries properly.

The things I orderd did not come. Have to got the money back, until this day.

Great communication through WhatsApp and the Turkey crown was one of the best we've had.

Terrible. I ordered a gammon ham the 2nd of November. I dont know where is it. No informations, nothing. Simply missing. I‘ve already paid.
Dont trust them!

UPDATE:
This must be a kind of Christmas miracle! The parcel has finally arrived, 2 days before Christmas. What was originally purchased for an "end-of-summer" party has first been postponed to Halloween and will now finally be enjoyed during a Christmas merrymaking.
Nevertheless, let's be fair where fairness is due: the packaging was very good, especially for the glass bottles, who were wearing a kind of inflated plastic coat, which protected them from any damage. They also added a second parcel into the first one to prevent any weight-related issues. I am therefore very happy to finally have something positive to write about - and one more star to give.
Finally, will I ever order again from this company? Well, I am not sure about that. Even though I finally do not think that their goal is to scam their customers (and I do feel quite bad for the poor team working there and getting all those furious customer complains), they still are very disorganized, they also seem to have major logistical issues and their communication - even though very polite when you happen to get a response - is quite poor, as you (the client) will be the one tracking them down to get updated.
Anyway, this is a Christmas story with a happy ending. Thank you.

This will be my very first 1 star review. I usually do not do 1 star, as there usually is at least something positive to write about, even if the experience as a whole was rather bad. But I am afraid that, this time, I just have nothing positive to say.
Three months. It has been three months. Original order was placed on September 16th (#2030). I chose a delivery date about one week later, waited and...nothing. Waited another week – still nothing - Oh, and by the way: do not imagine that they will get in touch with you to let you know about what went wrong - oh no. YOU will have to get in touch. Multiple times. After several e-mails, a new delivery date was promised for October 24th, then October 30th and then...nothing. I checked the order status online just a minute ago, and it is still planned for October 30th. Logistical and/or technical issues are one thing. I can live with that, especially if the business gets in touch with you, explains the situation, gives you a new delivery date and, most importantly, keeps its promise. But this? This is on a whole other level of “we-don’t-care-ness”.
I am truly disgusted. On my first visit, it looked like a nice little business with many great products, and my naïve little self did not imagine for a second that they might be scamming their clients. Well, I should have read the reviews first. This was a rather expensive lesson to be learned. Of course, I will not order again and also warn friends and relatives who enjoy these products to keep away from this business. As for myself, I guess that I will going back to stuffing some yummy British products into an already overfull suitcase on my next visit to Great Britain.

I was wondering where my order was, expecting it would have arrived by now. It was by chance I came across these comments and reviews. And now I dread I've been conned and my christmas will be ruined by these people. I have emailed them but have no reply!! Not many positive reviews here, and perhaps written by themselves. So to be honest I'm not going to waste my breath on this one, but let my lawyers handle the matter.
Do not go near these people, Only use the 2 Brit online shops who are far far better, honourable and trustworthy, than these, even if they do not offer certain things

This is a fraudulent business!
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! It is a complete scam you will loose your money and not receive your order!
I made an order on October 30th and still haven’t received it or the refund I requested. I emailed countless times, asking for a refund still nothing. This is a completely fraudulent company and I regret trusting them.

Ordere in October the 8 and am still waiting . I needed it for Thanksgiving and it never came even tho they promises to me . Since then it has been Silent . I can e-mail so much I want ,and will never get an answer. I paid ,180.00 sfr. for the order . I am realy quite mad .

I cannot warn you enough of this company. It is a complete con and if you don’t want to lose your money, don’t use it! I made an order on May 20th and still haven’t heard anything from it. I emailed countless times, even told them I would get lawyers involved and still nothing. When you write a review, I find it laughable that they respond by asking for your reference as you can’t reply! Just another way that they look like they care but in reality don’t reply to emails. Absolute con and have spoken to other people who have used this company and all say the same.

As I have already posted, my order was placed and confirmed 2nd August, payment made 18 August and finally confirmed as matched with the order on 8 September. First partial delivery of perishables received 6 October, remainder after several unanswered E-mails and phone calls and finally speaking to Max on October 24, the last part of the order arrived October 27. Three months after the order !
It really is just too arduous dealing with all of this as I would really have liked to rate at least "4" as the choice of products is excellent and Max does appear to be trying very hard, but the result is just not there.

This was supposed to be a bday present for me in November 2023. The goods were never delivered, several emails exchanged with theenglishgrocer(at)gmail.com and hello(at)englishgrocer.ch, apologies about the delay were shared, request to cancel the order and refund the credit card was communicated from my end and confirmed from the vendor. Result one year later: I thought the order was cancelled as requested and confirmed via email but the credit card has not been refunded, UPS confirms that parcel was never delivered, vendor impossible to reach and customs are asking me to pay CHF 311.45. A total nightmare that is still ongoing for a cancelled order.

Bis jetzt noch nichts erhalten. Auf meine eMail erhält man keine Antwort. Schade habe ich nicht vorher recherchiert, da wäre der Geldverlust nicht nötig gewesen.

Delivery received, a couple days later than stated, but well packaged and everything was there as expected. Will use again for next crumpets and baked beans cravings!

Excellent products.

Once I had the contact (WhatsApp) number, all flowed seamlessly. Very friendly service and was a pleasure to receive the top-quality products.

Much like other people this was a very poor experience, I ordered in May and finally part of our delivery arrived in September, the rest was refunded. This was after multiple emails and long winded excuses.

Almost complete lack of communication (safe for one exchange back and forth after weeks and many emails. Product paid for and still not arrived despite clear promises. Stay away!!!
