Encoreguards.com makes seemingly high quality nightguards for those of us who grind our teeth.

I had been searching for literally years to find the style of guard that works best for me--thin, hard plastic, almost like an invisilign retainer. With Encore, I finally found that. And at a price that's about 1/5th what two or three dentists have quoted for guards that are less to my liking in style.

I'm still in the process of getting mine adjusted, and shipping times were a tad slow (I think around 2 weeks after I mailed back the impression), but not bad.

Customer service has been stellar--though the inital impression process, to post-arrival support and offer to adjust the guard, which I think is slightly off due to my impressioning technique. They've offered to re-make the guard if I can't get it working, but for now, just waiting on a small adjustment for an area of excess pressure.

I plan to use in the future, and am impressed with the company and prices so far.

The guard I received was misshapen and hurt my teeth. When I contacted Encore they told me to put it in hot water and see if it would reshape on my bite. It did not. They claimed they would make me a new guard and sent me a new mold, but they also wanted this misshapen guard back for their records. Weeks later they just sent me the malformed guard back again. I know it wasn't a new one because the case had still had my name written on it in sharpie, like I always do to them. The guard had little scratches in the same spot I always grind. They did this to me after I bought 5 or 6 guards from them. They're always pressuring you to buy a new one every 6 months or they'll throw out your molds. I did that loyally and I still ended up with an unwearable guard.

Took 3 try's before they excepted my impression. Since receiving the finished mouth guard, I have tried to get it to fit right. So, it was a waste of $170.00. If the guard would fit right, it would be great, the guard is nice quality. They won't take an impression from the mouth guard that I have which fits perfectly, it's just getting to the point it needs to be replaced. It has lasted me for a few years. I guess getting it from the dentist is the better way to go even though it cost more, they can adjust the mouth guard till it does fit prefect. That can't happen with a mail in service.

Got two mouthguards made from them in March 2022, the first one was too thin for my bruxism and I chewed through it in a week. The second one I got was 3mm and it lasted more than 9 months although it is also chewed through on one side. Overall happy with the material, comfortable to sleep, 3mm one is not too thick. Wish they kept your impression longer than 6 months and also had bundle offers.
