Fine if you want to book a doctor
Fine if you want to book a doctor - but literally anything else becomes a full time job trying to manage with eMed - wish I stayed with my original doctor.
Try getting bloods or follow up appointments become a full time job and there is just no point calling as the receptionists are rude, don’t listen, or just hang up. I waste hours and made to feel like im literally begging for bloods to be taken, fine as a one off but I need to do every 3 months.
Im exhusted. I hate eMed.
Useless! Changed to Shemed and I have now missed two doses due to no prescription even though I paid on 27th Jan. you cannot speak to anyone at shemed it’s a call back that doesn’t call back and emed don’t want to know! I was at a higher dose up to this and have been left to just withdraw sharply due to incompetence. Boots offer this service at a cheaper price,I see no reason to not just go with them instead! Absolutely disgraceful for an alleged professional health care provider
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
Signed up to eMed Lite package for £15 annually. They have made it impossible to contact anyone at the company. The website bounces you around from page to page without listing ANY way to contact them. The website asks you to use the chat function on the app or logged into your account - the chat function does not exist!!
Their support@emed email is no longer monitored as they do not want to hear from you!!
I have contacted the bank to block any further transactions and deleted my account. It has taken me over an hour to sort this - I can't stress enough to avoid this business, go with BUPA instead
Like many other reviews here, emed has made it absolutely horrendous, and I say this even though I have extremely low expectations of what to expect from my GP.
It was actually quite good before emed, and I even used to recommend them in the past, not anymore
Before it became Emed, it was decently helpful and convenient. The app was buggy, but still mostly worked fine. Booking was a straightforward process and records / prescriptions were easily accessible. I had good experiences with all in person appointments as much.
Now their website’s a confusing mess of conflicting information, and they’ve completely gotten rid of in-person appointments. The app is completely inaccessible now, so it’s impossible to find anything you need, and it feels like they’ve just completely given up as a practice.
Thanks, but no thanks. After four years of loyalty, I’m leaving this disaster of a company.
Very poor appt availability. Frequently cancelling last moment or even not showing up at all and ghosting you.
From my experience, they do not even practice medicine. In the past I've been given wrong medicine instructions, they have not run the needed tests for months while they were just throwing pills at me and many more stories.
I will be filing a formal complain. If you are their patient you should too. They shouldn't taking tax money while acting NOT as a GP.
I work as part of a HR team for a very large corporate firm. Have numerous members of staff complaining that despite having paid / private memberships, cannot get through to anyone via service line or get appointments. Formally looking to cut ties with e Med and find a new provider
It completely deteriorated since it became eMed. It is impossible to book appointments either from website or the app. No way you can talk with someone. You can only chat and the chat is useless. I am changing GP
Their business model didn't work. So they got loads of customers at a loss and now they are trying to turn profit and have killed the whole process. I fell this behaviour should actually be illegal, not just crazily immoral.
What a nasty company. All I want to do is speak to an Admin but this is simply not possible. You can only do 1 way written messages which then get responded to via a non reply email. But they dont understand much stuff so often get it wrong. So you spend days if you have a back and forth style query. Utter joke!
Currently sat in a queue for the private health option for over 10 minutes, so guessing the NHS version is all but dead now. What a shame. It used to be amazing (while they were collecting customers and running at a loss).
Been with them for some years. Their service has massively deteriorated. It is impossible to get appointments. Most of the time (with some rare exceptions) it is done hastily. Many times I found out after the appointment that I wasn't clearly or fully informed, and to ask any questions guess what I have to do, book another appointment.. Will be leaving them shortly.
The abundance of 1 star reviews speak for themselves... as with others, if I could give zero stars I would. I genuinely believe this service to be negligent and unsafe and have reached a breaking point with my health. I am completely unable to book any form of appointment despite having a number of booking links in my app. I have been trying to get to the bottom of a health condition/diagnosis for many months with zero success using eMed. I am re-registering with an actual GP to start the entire process over again which is preferable to having to log in to that app one more time.
Ash/Arshalan was extremely helpful and quick to respond, also finding a way to reduce my costs
No appointments available for the next 2 months? You are taking the actual p**s. The service is now sadly absolutely USELESS since emed took over. No support available either. This is people's health we are talking about! The level of care is ZERO! Actually disgusting what they've done to the NHS service.
Impossible to get an appointment. Nothing for 2 months as of now. My shared care agreement was sent months ago and apparently it was just forgotten and stuck somewhere. Still no update since and I can’t get an appointment so that’s nothing I can do to get my meds.
No appointments with anyone at all! Unable to contact them via chat, phone or email! This is criminal !
Bad. Bad. Was great a few years ago under the Babylon name and you could get an appointment relatively quick compared to traditional GPs, which is why I chose it during the lockdown period. Since it's become eMed it's just a mess
Hospitals sending prescriptions to the GP and the GP not acknowledging anything or responding to my requests to get prescriptions released, 3 weeks to see a GP, half the time the GP doesnt even ring you so you have to wait.
Customer service/talking to someone feels nonexistant? Almost as if there's no one working there anymore. Literally no one knows anything about anything.
Hospitals are sending over sensitive information about patients and it's just not being handled with care? Ridiculous
Just a mess
NHS is in shambles sadly so you're going to have issues with any GP, but there's literally no point in being registered to eMed. There are literally 0 positives left now, reregistering with my old GP after 5 years, it's that bad. At least with a normal GP everything is in one place and you can talk to a normal human being (if you can get to one that is)
If I could give zero stars, I would. Since being taken over by E-meds, the service has become nearly unusable. Getting an appointment with a GP or nurse is almost impossible. To make matters worse, they've removed the live chat option altogether. When you try to call, you're redirected to the same live chat feature—ironically inaccessible for NHS customers.
This feels like blatant exploitation of the public healthcare system. I will be formally reporting this to the NHS.
Calinda and the other customer service team when you ring are amazing- the app needs some work as well as the weekly check ins.
Used to be 5, now 0
Started using 3 years ago and had no complaints, easy to use, fast appointments, all good.
Last year, ever since they got purchased it was a downhill. No slots for weeks and weeks, avoid.
I am moving to other practice myself
