Ordered in late July 2021, delivered late March. Professional installer available mid April but the wrong parts were sent so he could not complete the job. We have now lost our installation slot with no prospect of a new one. Pretty useless. How difficult can it be to send the right bits? Let's hope it will be worth it in the end but I am losing the growing season.

Purchase a 6x4 Elite Greenhouse summer 2021, arrived March 2022 (this was as expected so no issue).

Parts supplied wrong parts missing - this caused issues with the build but once worked out the error with supply Elite were good at replacing with photographs to prove the problem(s).

The instructions and ease of build were a total nightmare and knowing what I know now I would NOT purchase this Elite Greenhouse again. It took 5.5 days to build (and still have to add the door lock and automatic opening mechanism) with up to 5 people working on it at any one time (including engineers). The Greenhouse was a powder-coated one so no identification(s) on any part (just on the outside of boxes).

It is well made but the instructions appear to have been drafted in someone’s mind who designed the Elite Greenhouse rather than by someone else to understand the issues with such poor build instructions… YouTube is a must and was helpful but not perfect.

I am happy now it’s built but would not put myself or others through such a traumatic experience - 3 star rating because happy with what I have (4.5 start for quality but a lucky 1 star for the instructions - still not 100% happy with the doors).

I have just spent the last 6 days building an Elite Titan 8x12. It was order in May 2021 and arrived early Jan 2022. The quality of the product is 5*. The instruction book was fine, but I was also very glad of the construction videos on their web site. There were a couple of points in the build process which I can imagine some people may have problems with, but as the first 6 years of my working life I was a mechanical engineer so there was nothing I could not resolve. I was able to build it all on my own with the exception of bolting the sides together and glazing the roof. I am very, very, very pleased with the results. And very glad we went for a powder coated version (Graphite) as it look very special indeed.

UPDATE June 2023 - Still so, so glad that I bought this. The quality and colour are fantastic!..

Whilst we had to wait a while for the greenhouse kit to arrive, it was worth the wait. The greenhouse (I went for powder coated 'olive') looks fantastic. Take your time over assembly and do look at all the helpful videos on assembly - despite some other comments, in reality it is quite easy. I found the company technical support excellent and very helpful and responsive to some construction questions I had. Final assembly with glass really is a 2-person job.

Recieved this greenhouse before lockdown, but due to not having a base ready we have only just erected it. Big mistake as it ment erecting it ourselves. As said in previous reviews the instructions are near to useless. Not punctuated,confusing with photos of obscure veiws. The 800 comes with a pollyarbonate roof (not clear on the website we ordered it from) it cheapens the product, feels flimsy & the sealant tape at the ends is coming loose allowing water to enter the gaps. Not enough glass rubber sealant roll sent & we were 4 muntins short so I had buy extra off ebay.
There were no roof braces sent with our deliverey even though theu are shown on updated instructions( just the same as old ones only photos are clearer) I think they are needed as roof seems like it could come off in high winds. Also not on having to drill holes yourself to to fit roof vents(which are on the front not in the roof!!) is not on. One all the random bits of metal were joined to make the frame & the base squared,the top half refused to also square up. Eventually we achieved this by pulling a top corner with a rope. All the nuts need to be left loose to achieve this which results in joints popping out sas you try to move the structure. All in all the worse build nightmare myself,my husband & my Father have encounted ever.

Waited 6+ plus months for arrival of 2x6 lean to in black coating. Base plinth scratched in unpacking but quickly replaced. The instructions are dreadful & made the whole experience of putting it together a nightmare. Door is poorly fitting & does not fit on runners adequately causing it to rattle in the rain. Worse buy of 2021 & sooooo disappointed with quality, instructions & product overall. Would not recommend this buy to my worse enemy.

We purchased an Elite Craftsman greenhouse it was well worth waiting for, we are so pleased. After deciding on a new greenhouse we purchased the elite from the company in Bolton. We needed to wait a little while but great thing is that its British, "Made in Britain" still means something, and the quality is what you would expect. We did checkout other main names greenhouses, but it worth checking where they are manufactured. We like to buy British and always try and check. We also decided to have it erected professionally and if you can afford it, then its well worth it. We booked the fitter when we had a delivery date and they turned up on the day they stated, erected it within a couple of hours, we were up and running straight away. We did decide to have the capping and feel it a good investment just finishing the greenhouse off. On delivery the driver damaged a piece of glass, a new one sent out and received a few days later causing us no problems. We are so pleased with the greenhouse and can recommend them with piece of mind. "Buy British if possible"

Good, well made greenhouses. Long lead-time, but not surprising as everyone has starting growing during the pandemic. Useful technical advice whenever we got stuck with instructions. Helpful customer service.

I bought an Elite Streamline from IS Greenhouses. I had to wait 5 months for delivery but knew this at the outset so don't see it as an issue.
I hadn't read any comments on the build difficulty prior so I was a bit worried when I saw some of these!
So just to reassure anyone thinking of buying one I am a 59yo female and I built the whole frame entirely by myself.
I built it indoors so I could prop the various bits up as I put it together and did it over a few days. All of the parts were clearly labelled in the box and it went together really well.
The only assistance I had was my partner helping to carry it outside then holding the toughened glass in place while I put the first of the clips in.

I thought the instructions were pretty good personally, I also watched a couple of the online videos just to make sure I was doing it right.

In terms of customer service I had a question about the door so messaged the company. They got back to me straight away and the person I spoke to was really helpful. He explained that they are constantly reviewing and updating the instructions.

As another reviewer said it was like a puzzle and I actually enjoyed doing it. I think people are more likely to leave a review when they have had a difficult experience, which is understandable, but its also worth sharing a positive experience.

Its all done now and it looks fantastic. I'm just so pleased and it was well worth the wait.

We have had an Elite greenhouse for 15 years. When we tried to order another one (8X12), Elite replied that delivery would take 7 1/2 months. If ordered on April 1, it would arrive in November. It takes less time to build a three bedroom in the UK than to get a plain vanilla greenhouse from Elite. But we were told that we are buying a British made product and not some foreign import. British manufacturing is in dire straights when it has to drape itself in the Union Jack to justify its inefficiency and uncompetitiveness!

Bought the ‘Edge’ having waited three months for delivery. The worst instructions for any build in human history! I’m an Engineer and these instructions just left me scratching my head for hours, what should be a one day build has taken me three days to complete. The photos and written descriptions have no bearing on what you’re actually building, most of the time I was just left to ‘work it out’ myself...total trial and error process and taking two steps forward and one step back all day everyday. This was such a grind and consumed my Easter wkd away from my child, could have been avoided if a person with half a brain wrote the instructions and someone with a newer camera than a Victorian rostrum camera took decent photos. Hats off to the plank whom printed the instructions on a dot matrix printer making every thing unintelligible. This was made worse and salt rubbed in by the lovely coloured, printed brochures in the pack selling ‘extras’...fat chance of me doing that Elite! Please remake your instructions, it’s simple/easy to do and will improve your reviews, you must be loosing business because of this...shame, because the product is lovely! Also, why are all the glass panels different (but only slightly) widths? (Three different sizes 61cm, 60cm, 59cm...just why?), utter nightmare sorting and knowing that, a heads up would have been grand! Also your amended instructions are wrong btw. Muntings supplied don’t fit the toughened glass properly and are too tight. Bolts/nuts are cheap and weak and often shear/break under construction. Write a proper glazing guide. Also, not a fan of drilling my own holes to fit things and cutting visual caps myself...I’ve paid £thousands guys...this is poor service! In Summary, a total fail Elite and you should ashamed tbh.

instructions are terrible, pictures are poor quality and next to useless. My door is 1" short. There is no mention in the instructions on how to adjust and the video says "fix door and adjust height". Perhaps if someone with a GCSE "O" level English wrote them I would have had more success. I was a product design teacher who also taught engineering so am not totally green but these instructions left me baffled.

Absolute nightmare. Assembly instructions useless. You tube video re assembly is so speeded it was no use at all. No step by step views. Diamond staging help also a nightmare. Do not buy this product id assembling yourself. I wish I had never purchased it.

Was hired to install it. Took two of us two full days. Instructions are terrible video is useless. Both me and the owner are out of pocket due to this company.

I ordered my Elite greenhouse through the Incredibly Sensible Greenhouse company who were brilliant. Yes, the waiting time was longer than anticipated but we are in the middle of a pandemic. There was a delivery problem but the driver kept in touch with me at all times and arrived when he said he would. A very polite guy. The 2 young men who put the greenhouse up for me arrived shortly afterwards and completed the task in a few hours - very much to my satisfaction. (The Incredible Sensible Greenhouse company suggested the guys to put it up when I said I couldn't do it myself).
Overall I am very pleased with my Elite Greenhouse.

Order took longer to arrive than initially forecast, a bit disappointing that I had to follow up for an update instead of being contacted. The manufacturing quality is very good, excellent finish and well protected for shipping. I did have an issue with the wrong hand of one part but this was quickly corrected. I found the after sales service very good. The instruction booklet takes a bit of navigation but it’s possible to complete the job if you take your time. Also ensure you read the separate sheets that come with any add on items you may order, shelving and such like before you start the job. I do think the booklet could be enhanced going forward. I built a 5x8 greenhouse with all the additions of shelving, fennel’s and automatic vents single handed in 4 days and it looks great.

I’ve got three grown men about to lose the plot trying to put this 4x3 greenhouse together. They’ve been working on it now for five hours and they cannot work out either the manual or video instructions which are very confusing. Basic diagrams would have helped no end. They’re all qualified builders with a wealth of knowledge on constructing things but these instructions have them absolutely beat!! If it wasn’t for the fact I had paid a lot of money for this greenhouse, (and paid the full amount months before it was delivered), I think it would be ending up in the skip! I also wish I’d read the reviews before buying!

Ordered a greenhouse on 9/11 - quote was 20 weeks , that was moved out to 24 weeks they are now saying >30 weeks. The time delay is frustrating but the only way you find anything out is by chasing them yourself , over and over and over again. The staff are friendly enough but there internal management systems must be appalling and you just can't believe anything they say. The very polite message is take it or leave it - just terrible customer service. AVOID THIS COMPANY

As others have said the instructions that come with their greenhouses are useless. Took me weeks to put it together only to find they had sent 4 panes of glass which were the wrong size. Also one of the panes had a chip on the corner which exploded into a million pieces when I went to pick it up.
They basically said I would have to wait to receive the correct panes of glass from them, which could have been weeks. I ended up having to buy glass from a local glass merchant at cost to myself. When asked if they would reimburse me they said no chance
Terrible customer service, each time I phoned them they said they would ring me back but never did.

What a nightmare - I wish I had read the reviews before buying as it would have changed my decision.

I, like so many others, placed my order and was told 8 to 10 weeks. When this time passed and I had not heard anything from the company I called them. I was told in a matter of fact manner that it was down to Covid and nothing could be done about it. When I asked why I wasn't proactively contacted to be told there would be a delay I just got told I must have been missed off the list. No sorry, no offer of anything just that they would contact me when they had a delivery date.

14 weeks after placing the order it was delivered. I came to put it together and now, like hundreds of others have found, the instructions are useless, incorrect and not worth the paper they are printed on.

I phoned them and said I have the instructions for a full size greenhouse, have ordered a dwarf wall greenhouse for which there is an update booklet to the instructions and then there is a 3rd update booklet. They said yes, follow the main instructions but use the other two where appropriate! Gave up reading the booklets in the end.

At one point I contacted them again because of a problem and I got a reply that told me to ignore the instructions and fit it a different way. This, I later found out was from one of the directors!

I was so annoyed about the experience I decided to look online for more information about the company. The last published accounts showed they had over £1m in cash in the bank!! And they have not even invested in producing proper instructions. (though they do manage to send a nice booklet with the paperwork that offers all the extra things you can buy for your greenhouse once it is assembled!! not even an offer of a discount for the late delivery or problems due to worthless instructions!)

I will not ever buy from this company again and recommend others don't either. Not worth the extra you pay for the pain and stress you have, especially with their couldn't care attitude!
