I am the parent of a Traveller
I am the parent of a Traveller. My son loved it. It was fun, safe, educational, exciting, created growth and he solidified friend groups.
As a parent the safety aspect was my most challenging but I remember my school overseas trip and know that you guys do a great job.
I did wish we had the flight details of arrivals and departure times or flight numbers. We didnt get that. And there were details missing from the itinerary which would have been nice to have to get more details from our kids when they returned. As well as a photo share wall of where they were and what they were seeing - no faces though - because each kid took different pictures.
He would do it again in a heartbeat and we would send him again. Im so grateful he was able to go.

Not what EF used to be. .
Itinerary timing was way off, changes needed to be made on the go. No detail on itinerary for parents, like times or where group was eating or sleeping?? First night the hotel didnt have enough rooms for our group and to make matter worse the hotel was sold out. Hotel location was 27min outside of the city we were touring, too much back tracking!!!??? No direct flights even though there were some available. EF kept on giving us little extras when all we needed was a smooth Itinerary and hotels that were booked properly! EF used to be amazing😪

A smooth itinerary and strong logistical execution are fundamental, so it’s disappointing to hear that the timing challenges, on-the-ground changes, and hotel issues—particularly the room availability on the first night—impacted your experience. This is not the level of consistency we aim to deliver.
As discussed prior to travel, flight availability and routing have shifted significantly since pre-COVID, and group travel does not allow access to all available seats across an aircraft. Our team always works to build the best possible itinerary while prioritizing that the group travels together, but we understand how the flight experience and overall flow may not have aligned with your past tours.
We also hear your feedback on hotel locations and pacing. Our approach is to balance safety, availability, and group logistics, though we recognize the amount of backtracking you experienced affected the overall experience.
While our teams aim to enhance tours with added inclusions, we agree that these should never come at the expense of a seamless, well-executed itinerary.
We’re sorry to hear this trip did not match your previous experience with EF, and we sincerely hope that despite these challenges, the students were still able to enjoy their time on the East Coast and take away meaningful memories.

My daughter just got home from her trip. She’s my second child to go on a EF TOUR. They both loved it and the tour guide. They lucked out and got the same guide for both trips and only had the best things to say about her.

Amazing tour guide (Julian) and bus…
Amazing tour guide (Julian) and bus driver (Winston) - best we've had. Great cultural attractions and restaurants. For evening, we loved Flying Squirrel and Funhaven. Bowling was the least popular. We unfortunately did not get to see Parliament, despite it being in our itinerary.

Dietary Restrictions May Pose a Problem
The trip itself went well; flights, busses, hotels were all arranged. The kids loved the tour guide. However, before the trip I was assured that my daughter's dietary restrictions would be taken care of. EF did arrange her meals on flights and at breakfast and dinner. Lunches, on the other hand, were not organized ahead of time which made for days where there was no suitable option for her to eat. They averaged 28,000 steps/day, and she didn't have a proper mid-day meal. It wasn't until Day 5 of the trip that someone took her to a grocery store to buy snacks that she could keep in her back pack in case there were more days when there was nothing available for her to eat.
If we were to do it again, we would pack food in her suitcase so that she could actually enjoy her trip instead of spending the first half of it being too hungry and stressed to enjoy the experience.

Dietary needs are something we take seriously, and while we’re pleased arrangements were in place for flights and most meals, it’s clear the lunch experience didn’t meet expectations in this case. Midday meals can sometimes be more flexible depending on the day’s activities and location, but students should always feel confident they’ll have access to suitable options, especially during such active days.
Your experience is helpful in highlighting where we can do better, both in planning ahead and in ensuring consistent support on tour. We’ll be sharing this feedback with our teams to help strengthen how dietary accommodations are managed throughout the entire day.

It was a great trip
It was a great trip and the tour guide Olivia was lovely. She was very patient with our students and provided insight into activities prior to any tour. Our bus driver Sebastian was fantastic and went above and beyond. He was the best one I have ever travelled with. My issue was the distance the hotels are from activities. We often had to drive and hour and half at the end of the night and it made things very tiring. Also tours 1-1.5 hours are long enough to keep attention and interest. 2 hours and more are way too long as the information is often repeated at each tour.

We intentionally select accommodations that balance safety, quality, and accessibility for student groups, which can sometimes mean staying outside of city centers. That said, we understand how longer travel times at the end of full days can be tiring, and this is something we continue to review as we refine our programs.

France & Italy School History Trip
Our guide, Giorgio, was amazing! Incredibly knowledgeable, organized, welcoming, and funny. He made the trip one to remember, and all of our students absolutely loved him. He went above and beyond to make sure we saw everything we wanted to, and even helped us add a few extras we could do with our students during our free time. There were a few glitches (one of our meal reservations claimed we didn't have a booking upon our arrival despite a confirmation email and refused to seat us in their otherwise empty restaurant, for example) as any trip will have, but Giorgio's expertise allowed for quick, almost seamless shifts into alternate plans.
Our trip was custom designed by our school trip leader, and EF worked with him and Giorgio to make sure our students had an unforgettable experience. From visiting major historic sites such as the Louvre, Vimy Ridge and Juno Beach, and the Colosseum and Pantheon, to allowing our students the opportunity to explore on their own and get a feel for the local life and customs, the trip was an all around standout!

The trip was well planned out
The trip was well planned out, we had a great time. We learned a lot about the different cultures and meet a lot of wonderful people. Our guide was wonderful, she taught us about the culture and songs from each country we went to. Our bus driver was also wonderful. When we were in his home town he got us a traditional treat. Over all this trip was wonderful.
