Overall, the tour was great.
Our Tour Director and Local Guides were wonderful and knowledgeable, our daily bus driver was excellent. We saw all of the important historical sites in Greece, and our guides made sure we understood the history and mythology. We even had time for two beach trips!

I think a few things could have made it excellent

1. Food was very repetitive. While lunches were supposed to be "on our own"; on our travel days, we would stop at a roadside restaurant. These had almost identical menus to each other and after a couple of days, the students (and chaperones) were tired of limited choices of unfamiliar foods. I also found that the options were quite heavy at most of these places. The included dinners were very similar to the lunch options. There were 3 dinners that I thought were great: The buffet meal in at the hotel in Olympia, the Gyro meal in Athens, and the Spaghetti meal in Athens.
I did enjoy the breakfast offerings, as did the vast majority of the students.

2. Logistics/communication. WhatsApp is not used at all in Canada, but it was used a lot by our Tour Director. If EF had mentioned to use to create a WhatsApp group with the students and chaperones before leaving, we could have had this ready to go. As it stood, some students were trying to download and join WhatsApp on the trip, with varying degrees of success.

3. The "free time" on the arrival day. We arrived almost 18 hours after leaving home. We then had a lot of walking around the city centre, before walking to our dinner location. The travelers were all very overheated and exhausted by dinner time.

Would recommend EF Tours for all travel adventures!

The Land of the Rising Sun was a great tour. Japan is a beautiful country with so much to see. I will never forget seeing Mount Fuji or what was done to the people of Hiroshima. Great learning experiences and each place we went we were provided key information. Our tour guide, Bunga was friendly and knowledgeable and great with all the questions our group asked. Bunga also wanted us to experience the Japanese culture. Thank you again EF, I know our group is already looking into what tour we would like to do next!

Overall, the trip was very good. The destinations we visited were excellent, and the tour director was friendly and pleasant to work with. While I enjoyed the experience, I did find the organization a little less structured than I would have preferred.
One significant concern was that, as the group leader, I didn’t have access to the flight information, including tickets and boarding passes. This became a major issue when our flight was cancelled. Without access to the booking details, I was unable to independently check flight status, review alternative options, or assist in making other arrangements. During a disruption, having the group leader equipped with this information is essential and would greatly improve communication and problem-solving. I was left completely in the blind concerning our rescheduled flights. Despite this challenge, the overall trip was enjoyable, and the quality of the destinations and the friendliness of the tour director made for a positive experience.

This was a fabulous trip. We had the most fantastic tour director She made sure that we saw the most well known sights ans well as those that weren’t commonly visited , but were just as interesting. We also had some great local guides. The food was excellent and most of the hotels were great.

Our tour guide Csenga was very knowledgeable, and awesome! There was a good balance of guided tours and free time to explore.

The website made payment plan easy to access, as well as the itinerary, and submitting information for travelling.

There were lots of amazing aspects. The tour director Dan Callinan was amazing. Absolutely above and beyond! The tour itself was very well planned out. The options for food were excellent for most of the students.
Things that could have been done better, the options for allergies weren't as equitable in my opinion. There wasn't enough protein available and the desserts weren't even close. Also, changes in itinerary need to be updated quicker so that decisions can be made.

Our child went on the Canadian Heritage tour and had a fantastic experience! He was not homesick and had only good things to say about the tour. It forced him outside his comfort zone in a safe environment. I think it was a wonderful experience for a 13 year old.

Needed extra guidance and EF came through really well for me. Truly appreciated that.

Tour Guide, Dan was excellent! He was full of energy and kept everyone interested in the tours.

Tour guide was excellent. But the experience with some operators in France did not meet with our expectations.

We had an awesome experience.

My son really enjoyed his trip. The only thing we would suggest would be to have at least one more free day during the trip. A 10 day, walk every day for 14 Y/O can be verry long. He really enjoyed the relaxed beach and pool day since he was exhausted. Maybe add another day like this in the 10 day would be better for the kids. Other than that, he really enjoyed the tours and guides. He was just really tired of walking long distances in the heat. Thank you!

We travelled to Spain and Portugal in June and July of 2026. The tour was well planned and our tour director, Joy, was very knowledgeable about all aspects of culture for both countries. We learned so much from her and the local guides she brought in for us. It was truly an educational tour, and one I will never forget.

Trip to Athens Greece…Everything was awesome! All planned out so well. Great sight seeing and all the hotels were perfect! Loved every minute of it.

Our guide Gigi was incredible. Also, the whole tour, from where we went to how different events were balanced out, was great.

It was a very well organized group, and well executed. Even with two cancelled flights, it was handled as well as it could have been handled.

J’ai adoré mon expérience. Un peu déçu que les restaurant contenait beaucoup de fruits de mer et nous avions mentionné avec une étudiante avec nous grandement allergique. Même chose pour les noix pour un autre jeune. Nous avons dû payer de notre proche, comme accompagnateur, les repas dans des restos environnants pour assurer leur sécurité. Nous avons eu une hôtel au Portugal ou le service n’était pas bien car il n’y avait pratiquement personne à la réception. Nos guides locaux étaient bien. Notre guide général, Sonia, était plus que merveilleuse. Nous avons beaucoup marché (parfois plus de 10km par jour) et avec une température de 44 degrés, je pense qu’il faut prévoir des sessions plus tranquille. Je pense qu’il faut permettre aux jeunes de profiter de la piscine un peu en soirée et souper plus tôt.
