Purchased $3000 worth of furniture in…
Purchased $3000 worth of furniture in may 28th 2021. Quoted shipping in 3-5 days. I was delivered half of my furniture and half of someone else’s furniture 3 weeks later. I have had 3 incorrect deliveries attempted to me since. I still do not have my whole couch. Am now told it will not be in stock until the last week of October and then has to ship to me, meaning I’ll have it in November. Was offered a $300 credit, and told there is nothing else they can do. I signed a year lease for an apartment and won’t have furniture for 6 months of it. Horrible.
Horrible customer service; Re: Jann
I ordered a matching chair with ottoman. There were no expectations set that this would have a delayed ship date (even STILL on their website they say "Shipping transit time is, on average, 5 to 14 business days").
1st ship date came and went. I waited an extra 10 days before reaching out. They let me know they were experiencing shipping delays and to expect a shipping date another few weeks out (a month after the original). This 2nd ship date came and went. I reached out again 5 days after. They told me wait another 10-12 days and to split up my order to make it arrive quicker. I agreed to split the order into two shipments. Ottoman came, then chair took another 2-3 weeks to arrive. Once inside, the chemicals gave me such a bad headache and sinus pressure I had to avoid sitting in that area. I reached out to return with their "NO QUESTIONS ASKED" policy, and they told me they would only accept the chair, not the ottoman as it had been past the 30 days. Customer rep also claimed that the chair and ottoman had always had separate ship dates and that the delayed ship dates were the original ship dates so "I knew all along how long it was going to take". Absolutely RIDICULOUS.
Beautiful uncomfortable couch
I love how the couch looks and all, but it’s uncomfortable. It’s a vegan leather couch and makes all sorts of noise when you move even slightly and the cushions won’t stay put. I’m thinking of trying to adhere some Velcro strips to keep the cushions from sliding cause I feel like I’m constantly sliding forward and can’t really sit back and relax. The cushions have no give to them even after 8 months of use. Again, very beautiful couch that gives the room a polished look, but comfort is an issue.
It looks like I am on the same boat as other people.
I was so excited to finally get my pretty couch, but for the amount of money I paid, its pretty much a SCAM. I ordered the green velvet couch at the end of may and never received a word until July. (Looks like its a common theme in this review section.) Finally, they told me about a timeline of when it can be shipped and that I may need to be present to take delivery of the item. This is when it started to get messy... I asked for it to be delivered on a Thursday they offered to call me back. I never got a call back from the shipping company. I called again to check in and they promised to call me back again. I never got a call back again. It just took me a third phone call and to be extra rude and assertive to finally got an answer the third time and 30 mins on hold that they can not ship on a Thursday. They offered me the Monday 20th of July at the earliest. They will give me a timeline and a call as to what times they will be delivering, which they did. So the 20th came and they called to tell me they will drop it off between 2-6 pm (a large gap of time) and they will also call me 30 mins ahead. These are normal large shipment protocols... if they actually followed through. The time came; no one called, or updated me, or warned me that there are delays until I called in to see what is up. Its almost 7 pm... they told me it'll be shipped between 7-8 pm. No one called me so I called in again. I'm annoyed at this point as to where my item was. They apologized that my couch never came. The earliest they can now drop it off is Aug 2nd which was unacceptable. THAT IS LITERALLY 2 WEEKS FURTHER! Again, calling and being assertive and extra rude; the earliest they can do delivery is July 27th and they promised to also help with bringing it up the stairs. That's great since I live alone I would need a hand up a flight of stairs. The big day finally came and I was waiting for a call from Metro shipping for that timeline. I heard nothing. Except for a text that came from my neighbor downstairs that a large box is just sitting on the bottom of my doorstep... no calls from Metro company, no follow up, no voicemail, no warning. I'm angry at this point and call the dispatch line from work. They said my couch should be on its way when apparently its at the bottom of my steps already? I disclosed to them that I have a large box just sitting there, shouldn't I have signed something? Further calls and cursing out the whole delivery team of what just happened and their lack of communication. I come home to no box at my footsteps. I call the dispatch company about the whole thing and they said that if I was not there to sign anything or take delivery they should've taken it back into the truck. So did they take it back before I came home or did somebody just took it off my door step? Now no one knows especially Edloe finch where the box is. They said that I have a box, but where? I came home with it not being at the bottom of the stairs. Is it now my problem that my couch has possibly been stolen and that the delivery company just left me screwed over just by dropping off such a large and obnoxiously big box at the bottom of my steps? I'm so angry because I just paid this much money and I have no couch. I just want my refund. They are emailing me now saying that I confirmed that the box was delivered but if I want a refund they need the item boxed and the way it was. How is that possible if I never came home with the delivery actually there and my neighbor just told me it was sitting there when they were on their way to work. This is all chaotic and a huge loss of $1000 dollars. I have blasted them via email and there is zero accommodations for their mess up.
Terrible
I ordered a couch in June. It is now the last day of July and still have not received the order. The company sent the couch to a 3rd party shipping company who has had it sitting on their dock for 3 weeks and refuse to ship it.
I reached out to Edloe Finch and they offered a 50$ refund, but if I wanted a full refund I would have to pay for a re-stocking fee since they already gave it to a 3rd party shipping company. I dont even expect to receive the couch and just like everyone else posted. DO NOT TRUST OR BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
Have not received our couch yet?
Have not received our couch yet?? They said they dont have access to track our couch… NOT SURE IF THIS IS LEGIT BUT WE SPENT $1000. WE NEED OUR MONEY BACK NOW
Still waiting for our bed!!!
Saw an ad for an Edloe Finch. Went to website and read about a retired NFL player and wife who founded company and was based in TX. We did NOT want to order from China. Ordered bed on 4/15/21. As of this review (7/21/21) still have not been able to receive. No live person, emails are answered by a Filipino customer service agency. Calls to their "delivery partner" is also answered by a Filipino call center (evident by accent and broken English). Ordered because we wanted to support a local American small business but have yet to have contact with anyone American. Bigger issue is that we are four weeks past our estimated delivery date and still don't have our bed. Currently sleeping in our new home with a mattress on the floor. Do not recommend this company from a false narrative perspective and also terrible shipping and customer service.
I would leave a negative star review if…
I would leave a negative star review if I could, Edloe Finch has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I ordered a couch in the beginning of May and didn’t receive anything until the middle of June. I didn’t even receive my full order, the couch was supposed to be delivered in two parts and I only received one. What was delivered was very badly damaged; large tears and scratches all over the cushions. There was no protective covering on anything while the box looked like it had been through a war and just taped back together again. There were cushions sticking out of the corners and skid marks on them from delivery.
Trying to get any help from Edloe was like pulling teeth. After several emails, they finally agreed that our order was in fact damaged and incomplete (they only needed 20 pictures for proof), they said they would send a replacement couch. Of course, they were out of stock but we’d hear back on 7/4. It is now the 20th and they won’t respond to any emails and I still have no couch.
Oh and when I tried to just cancel the order and get a refund, I was told that I would be charged about $60 to return what little I received and it’d be deducted from my refund. That makes total sense.
Products are not good quality
Products are not good quality, items arrive damaged, shipping takes forever, and white-glove service is a joke. We've had countless issues, and they can't own up and cover the shipping cost to return the items.
Please FLOOD their social media with these comments.
Fake website reviews and low quality furniture
I should have read these reviews before I ordered from them. The photos and reviews on their website looked good but after reviewing them again you can tell they arent genuine reviews... They pick and choose what to show on their website (never a good sign)
I bought two ottomans and the quality does not reflect the price I paid for them. The Faux leather feels like plastic and I have a feeling just one dog paw on there will puncture it.
One of the ottomas came wih a giant gash in the top. I didnt use a razor blade to open the packaging so I assume another customer did and Edloe Finch just send it off to another buyer. The customer service is slow to resolve the issue.
Shipping took 2 weeks longer than It was supposed to, so a total of 4 weeks. Which in my opinion is too long for shipping now adays.
I wish I had seen these reviews before…
I wish I had seen these reviews before I ordered from this company. I waited 8 weeks for a sofa that the website said would deliver in one week. Just arrived today with a leg completely broken off. I have contacted customer service for a refund. I can't imagine how long it will take to get this resolved and now I have a useless sofa sitting in my house. Please do not spend your money with this company, it is not worth it.
Couch is pretty but not at all what I…
Couch is pretty but not at all what I expected, I can’t even sit on it because it’s so uncomfortable. When I sit down on it is sounds like there are plastic bags in the cushions. The reviews on their page were food hence the reason I bought it but it was a huge mistake. I do not recommend at all. I got it yesterday and I already listed it for sale.
beautiful couch, low quality for price.
I purchased the Edloe and Finch blue velvet sectional several months ago, and I don’t recommend. The sectional is beautiful, it’s a statement piece, and ties a room together. That being said, the material is NOT velvet, it’s a microfiber that imitates velvet, and it is not comfortable at all. I waited to write this review in hopes that the couch would soften, but it’s a thin cushion that is extremely firm. Not the worst couch by any means, great for a front room. My issue was the shipping and the fact that it isn’t real velvet which is 99% of why I spent the money on this versus a blue velvet couch at IKEA. The shipping was a nightmare, the tram kept saying rather than 2-weeks out like online had said, that it would be 4 weeks, then 6 weeks, then 8 weeks - yikes! I eventually got in in 6. That being said, the customer service was responsive throughout the process which was nice.
Overall, beautiful and unique couch from afar, but not nearly the quality that is advertised up close. If you need a statement piece, I would consider elsewhere with higher quality materials for the price that’s charged here.
Lied to for MONTHS
I ordered a couch back in April 2021. In mid-April, only half of my couch showed up. I notified the Edloe Finch team on April 17th. Mary Tupas confirmed that the rest of my couch should be showing up on April 19th. April 19th came and nothing was delivered. On April 26th, Mary Tupas confirmed via email that UPS did return the second box back to Edloe Finch, and that they'd send a replacement "as soon as possible." I was then passed to Janine Trinidad, who said they needed to confirm if the parts needed were available to ship. Obviously, this was concerning...they confirmed MY second box was returned to them. Why couldn't they just resend that same box? I understood that shipping has been complicated due to covid, so I was initially patient and understanding.
Seca Bugash followed up with me on April 29th saying that they were still waiting on getting the necessary part back in stock, but it was expected to be available to ship the week of 5/19. This was obviously disappointing, but at least I had a date I could expect the rest of the couch. Or so I thought. I followed up on 5/20 asking if the rest of the couch shipped. Seca replied saying the replacement request had been sent to the warehouse, and they were doing their best to send me a replacement.
Here's where things took a turn for the worse. I stated on 5/28 that I'd like a refund since they were unable to provide me with a timeframe for delivery. Seca replied on 5/28 that my couch was "already in process for shipping" and they were just waiting on a tracking number to be provided. This turned out to be a blatant lie. I followed up on 6/7 and asked for a refund again since I hadn't received any tracking information. On 6/10 Seca sent me a tracking number. I thought "Great! Finally!" Turns out the tracking number was just for a label that had been created; and had no real shipment associated with it. This was a sketchy tactic to keep me engaged. On 6/16, after I asked for another update, Seca said that my couch was "waiting to be picked up by their carrier" but hadn't shipped yet. I called Edloe Finch's customer service line, and they promised me the couch would be shipped by 6/22. The couch did not ship on that date. On 6/23 I sent an email asking Edloe Finch the obvious question - Do you even have the couch? Why can't you tell me when this is shipping?
They followed up today and told me the item is now out of stock. Keep in mind, they promised SEVERAL times that the couch was "waiting to be picked up by carriers" or I was "in the shipping process." Just three days ago Seca said "we are pushing really hard to get all ready-to-go orders shipped asap." I was promised a shipping date 3 different times (not including the date the couch was originally supposed to show up). And now they're out of stock?! I can deal with shipping delays, but I'm baffled by the lack of honesty. They either don't want to deal with me anymore, or they never had the rest of my couch in stock the whole time. I will tell my friends, my friend's friends, and strangers on the street to avoid this company.
Not trustworthy
Unfortunately, my interactions with the customer support has left me feeling like this business is untrustworthy. I wouldn't recommend purchasing from Edloe Finch or Albany Park.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! I ordered a table in March. The website did not say anything about the table being on back order. After purchasing, I received a confirmation that stated my order would not ship until the end of April. I was willing to wait even though that seemed slightly ridiculous. The day the table was supposed to ship I received an email stating that there was a delay and my order would not ship until May 19. I received another email on May 19 stating that my order was delayed again it is now expected to ship in June. I called customer service and although the woman I spoke with was nice, she seemed to be just reading from a script and would give me no guarantee as to when my order would ship. She said they did not know when the table would arrive at their warehouse from the manufacturer. If a product is not in your warehouse, ready to ship, it should not be listed on a website for sale with no indication that it is not immediately available for shipping. I asked for compensation for this ridiculous delay and I was told she would get back to me on that. They charged my card the minute I ordered in March but can not give me a date for shipment. That is terrible business practice and no piece of furniture is worth this wait!
Decent furniture if they get it to you
The furniture is decent. Getting it, on the other hand, feels nearly impossible. I've been waiting on dining chairs since November (it's April) and I just received a fourth email that they are again delayed until mid June. Customer service is less than helpful, and there is zero accountability on the company's end, or effort to make it right. I'd cancel the order if I didn't already assemble the dining table with arrived in December. Do not order from this company.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY
I purchased a Kali Modern Leather chair through the Edloe Finch website. After shipping delays, it arrived damaged (paint chipping from frame) and I wasn't impressed with the quality of the leather for the price. I immediately initiated a return as directed. I arranged for pickup though their logistics company (CEVA) and have photos of the paint chipping and documentation of the return slip/pickup. I called weeks later regarding a refund and was told, "it looks like the chair arrived to our warehouse today. Your refund will be processed shortly." How convenient. After another week and a half I followed up again to be told the same thing without refund, after a long process of having someone figure out my account details. We were told to dispute the claim through our credit card company, which we did. However, Edloe Finch had told our credit card company that the chair never arrived and to reprocess the payment. I called again and the CSR I spoke to verified (for the third time) that the chair was returned to their warehouse and to dispute the claim again. Another month passed and Edloe still denies the claim from AMEX. My husband followed up and was told there was a note from a senior management position saying, "Give us two more weeks to figure this out." Their own CSR was confused by the suspicious note. They praise their easy returns on their website, but this company has been terrible to deal with. I'm so disappointed!
Don’t buy anything from them
Don’t buy anything from them. You’ll regret it. I have been waiting a month for my items that said they were in stock and ready to ship—and which they immediately charged me for—and the current status is: “We don’t know when you’ll have it.”
Park Sofa-Navy blue velvet
Don't buy from Albany Park/Edloe Finch! I am still waiting for the purchase of my sofa to be made right. NOT hassle free returns and the website is misleading. I posted a review but it has to be approved, so it won't show up as it is 2 stars. After being convinced it would be rectified before the return period was up, I agreed to work with them. After many calls, emails, and a video that was required in order to get any help, this is still ongoing. It is now 2 months since received and finally received a call indicating my problem was affecting other customers. Broken base that caused sofa to lift and tip on one side. I have received new base, but no communication for pickup of the old, which I said was required so I don't have to pay for disposal. Also I asked for a credit due to all the time this has caused me, and now having to unscrew all the legs and screw back in with new base(at least 2 hours). I am giving 2 vs. one as John in customer service has been courteous and I have still received responses. We will see if they follow through for pick up and a credit. You will be upset if you trust this company.
