I simply can't understand why the UK is still a country of run down crooked timber fences when you can have a beautiful modern and sturdy fence from eComposite!

Good Product Let Down by Poor After-Sales Service and Missing Parts
I recently purchased a composite fencing system from Ecomposite for a U-shaped fence project with a pedestrian gate. As an experienced fence installer, this was my first time using this particular product, so I contacted the company before ordering and received helpful advice regarding the design and ordering process.
The materials arrived within a few days on pallets and my first impression was very positive. The boards, posts and overall finish looked high quality and aesthetically pleasing.
However, installation proved more challenging than expected. The system appears best suited to perfectly level ground. Our site had a slight incline in places, which made it difficult to keep the bottom rail running consistently while maintaining an attractive appearance. The rear section of the fence was positioned at the bottom of a small bank and, to keep the fence straight, the bottom rail required packing with bricks, which is far from ideal.
There were also several issues with the order itself. We discovered that wall-mounted posts, pedestrian gate fittings and an additional post were either missing or had not been included during the planning stage. Although I was assured the missing items would be dispatched within days, this did not happen. It took numerous phone calls, emails and complaints before the issues were addressed. During this process, responsibility was repeatedly attributed to delivery companies, although different delivery companies were mentioned on separate occasions.
The gate installation was particularly frustrating. No fitting instructions were supplied, and several components either appeared incorrect or did not fit properly. For example, all standard fence posts are supplied with slot covers, whereas the gate posts were not. The latch housing did not sit correctly on the post, and the main gate post was supplied at approximately 2.4m despite being specified as 2.7m. This required additional mechanical fixing, which then prevented the post cap from fitting correctly.
Overall, the fencing system itself looks attractive and the material quality is good. If your garden is level and the order is complete, I believe the finished result can look excellent. However, for sloping sites, additional planning and adaptation may be required which this product doesn't provide.
My biggest disappointment was the after-sales service. Customers should not have to make five or more phone calls and send multiple emails to obtain items that should have been supplied in the original order. Based on my experience, while I would consider using the product again, I would be reluctant to purchase through this company.

Avoid this company
Avoid this company. My experience with eComposite Products has been extremely poor from start to finish.
I placed order SO‑22897 on 22 April 2026. Their website promised 5‑day delivery, and I paid in full. The next day, I received a call telling me I must either change the board colour or wait 4 weeks. I agreed to wait.
A delivery date was promised, but instead I received the posts and no 90 boards—and was then told the 90 boards would not be available for another 6 weeks, unless I changed the colour again. I agreed to the colour change, but when the order finally arrived, 19 boards were damaged!
Of the boards I did receive:
6 arrived visibly damaged, and 13 were damaged and the wrong versions, making them completely unusable.
I reported everything immediately on 27 May, exactly as instructed, and provided full photographic evidence.
What actually happened next:
I was explicitly assured by both sales staff that a refund for all 19 boards would be issued in the next couble of days and i only need to send photos via company whatsapp.
At no point did anyone tell me the 13 boards needed to be returned even damaged and broken.
Based on their confirmation—and because the boards were damaged and unusable—I responsibly added them to skip.
Only after they learned the boards were no longer available when I called them to ask for my refund, they suddenly introduce a “return requirement,” contradicting their own earlier statements.
Also, The compensation promised by the Director Rob was never honoured.
I still have 1 board and 3 opened top/bottom pieces which I didn't report damaged that remain unused, yet the company continues to shift blame instead of taking responsibility for the poor‑quality goods and misleading communication and misleading website.
Avoid this company:
Poor product quality, Poor communication, Failure to honour commitments, Contradictory and misleading information, a complete lack of accountability
I will be escalating the matter to Trading Standards, providing all emails, WhatsApp messages, photographs, and call logs.
This review reflects my genuine experience and the documented facts.
Don’t be fooled by their so‑called “lifetime guarantee.” In my experience, it feels more like a marketing slogan than a genuine commitment!

As outlined throughout our ordering and delivery process, stock availability can occasionally change due to demand, and alternative colours or lead times may be offered where specific products are unavailable. We understand that delays can be frustrating and apologise for any inconvenience caused. Our website generally advises delivery within 3–5 working days for stocked items, however bespoke configurations and stock shortages can affect lead times.
Regarding the damaged items, we take all reports of transit damage seriously and investigate every case individually. Where products arrive damaged, our normal process requires evidence of the issue and, depending on the circumstances, inspection or return of the affected goods before a refund can be finalised. This is necessary so that we can verify claims with manufacturers, suppliers and delivery partners.
We acknowledge that there were discussions regarding damaged boards and that photographs were provided. However, the disposal of the majority of the products before the matter had been been fully concluded significantly limited our ability to inspect, recover or process the claim in the normal manner.
We are disappointed that you feel commitments were not honoured. Our team made considerable efforts throughout the order process to find alternative solutions, including colour substitutions and ongoing communication regarding product availability.
We would also like to clarify that our lifetime warranty is a genuine manufacturer-backed warranty covering qualifying products against specified structural defects when installed and used in accordance with the warranty terms. Full warranty details are publicly available on our website.
We remain committed to resolving customer concerns fairly and professionally. If there is any outstanding matter that can still be reviewed, we invite you to contact our management team directly so that we can assess any remaining evidence and correspondence in full.

I found the website very easy to use with their fence calculator.
I had a couple of questions so used the website WhatsApp chat facility. So helpful that by the end of the chat, a quote had been sent, a delivery date arranged and a link for payment.
The fence kit was delivered on time, especially useful as I had arranged for the fence to be installed the next day and having already had a 12m hedge removed. (I'm approaching 60,and not as fit as I once was to maintain a hedge).
I ordered the venetian style with their metal posts, that were to be cemented in place.
It took the 2 guys 8 hours to fully install and they said it was straightforward too.
Even the price beat all competitors by a good margin. The quality is exceptional. Maybe next year a second hedge could be coming out and I know who to contact.

Excellent experience all round
eComposite where very helpful when I was looking to place my order. I had to reschedule my delivery which was no problem. There were a couple of items missing which were supplied immediately after speaking to friendly staff. A number of people have commented on how good my fence looks. I think their products are excellent, as is their customer service. It is so refreshing that you can get to speak to someone at a company who is helpful.

Panels warped after a few years
We purchased fencing from this company a few years ago and have been disappointed with how it has held up. Over time, the panels have started to warp and bend inwards, which has caused them to pop out of the posts and become unstable.
For the price and expectations of garden fencing, we would have expected a much longer lifespan. Unfortunately, the quality does not seem to match the durability needed for UK weather conditions.
We would not recommend based on our experience, as the product has not proven to be fit for long-term use.

We haven’t received any prior contact regarding this, so we’ve not yet had the opportunity to review the installation or assess the panels in question. WPC composite materials will naturally expand and contract with temperature changes, and if sufficient expansion gaps are not allowed during installation, this can lead to panels bowing or becoming displaced from the posts.

Insufficient stock and delivery slots, not as advertised
Ordered a fence. Selected a delivery date from one available on their website. Arranged a contractor to install it. No comms until I got in touch and found out they actually don't have the items in stock and won't be able to deliver until 4 days after my delivery slot. Obviously not good enough so requested a refund and will have to lose deposit on contractors due to the last minute cancellation. Poor service.

Following your order, we contacted you a few days later to advise that there would be a delay due to stock availability. At the time, we explained there would be approximately a one-week wait for the items to arrive. As a gesture of goodwill, we also offered complimentary LED lighting with your order.
We are currently in one of our busiest periods, and demand has been exceptionally high, meaning stock is moving much faster than usual. While this isn’t the level of service we aim to provide, we did our best to keep you informed as soon as we became aware of the delay.
If you are able to push back installers, we can still get it to you by end of next week.

After contacting numerous companies and none coming back to me - I was lucky enough to contact this Company and liased with the ultra competent Georgia - within an hour, composite fencing ordered - with a delivery date and the added bonus of an installer whom arranged fitting straight away. Great looking composite fence pa els
Product arrived on expected day with No shipping damage.
Panels look really good. Easy to install and of a high quality. The slot in bars for concrete posts are really strong and the aluminium top and bottom bars hold the panels firmly.
Certainly recommend them.
